That is very nice to hear. I went to UB (along time ago ) and lived in Buffalo for a few years. I have family still there. It is a wonderful place. I always found the people there and really all throughout western and “upstate” NY to be very kind. Peace to you all. And hope your family gets through this Covid illness.
Bflocatholic, This is so wonderful to hear and I thought that might be the case because if it was otherwise I am certain we would hear about it on the news. It is very sad that the news, to my knowledge, has not covered what you have stated. This is the exactly the type of story that Americans and the world need to hear. One of my daughter's very good friends lives in Buffalo with her husband and their 18 month old son. They are expecting their second child next month. They are very devout Catholics, wonderful examples for young people imho. My daughter has several other friends there too but she is closer to this friend that I have mentioned than the others. How is your Dad and his girlfriend doing? I hope that they are feeling better. My daughter and her husband just had Covid a week ago but thankfully they got over it in about 7 days or so. Thanks be to God.+
Asking for prayers again for my sister in law, Linda. She has been in and out of hospitals for past 2 weeks. She was Dx with Covid pneumonia. Thankfully, she is not in situation where she needs to be hospitalized, but is experiencing severe shortness of breath with oxygen level hovering just over 90. The hospitals in my area are apparently being overrun again with Covid cases so they are turning her home. The catch is since she tested positive for Covid- her pulmonologist will not see her in the office. He has ordered steroids and some other Meds which help only a bit. I think she needs home oxygen, but they will not order unless they see her. The proverbial Catch-22. She is coughing and gasping- a horrible feeling. Her husband, my brother, has mental health issues so this is throwing him over the edge too. They are facing significant financial situations- house about to be foreclosed unless taxes paid, phone service shut off, and car insurance expired. My wife and I are doing our best to help, but not easy for us too. Don’t mean it to sound like a complaint - sort of therapy to type it out. In end, God will assist us as we need. Your prayers are needed. Thanks.
Lord, heal her lungs that she may not struggle with fear. Dear Lady, pray for your child. And open unexpected pathways of financial support that they may experience your love and care. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
If she could get rosemary and echinacea essential oils and a diffuser (little pot that steams) add three drops of each. It soothes the lungs and heals them. It helped my husband.
Mikes, that is good news indeed!! I was going to recommend Nebulizer…it will definitely help her with her breathing a blood oxygen! My oxygen goes down when I have asthma sometimes. God bless Linda!
Prayers for Linda's recovery. What a terrible situation, financial difficulties on top of health issues. Just a thought... if the pulmonologist has refused to see Linda due to Covid and her shortness of breath does not improve, perhaps she could be evaluated in the ER. Depending on her condition, the ER doctor could order a pulmonary consult for her at the hospital and home oxygen could be prescribed if necessary.
May the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ save us save the whole world. For Linda 10 times. Will be praying also tomorrow.
