That’s what I was seeing with it when it hit our area months ago. It is highly contagious but not as severe. Few hospitalizations. They actually said it was good because it provided natural immunity without sever symptoms. Then it seemed to just go away…..
Vaxing has little to no effect it seems. This virus is impervious to almost everything. Devilish. Best thing to do is stay away from it as much as you can. But if you get it even with underlying conditions I think you will weather it quite well. People here who have had omnicron who are in their 70's and dealing with "conditions" seem to be getting beyond it. Headache and sore throat and cold symptoms seem predominant.Lungs do not seem to be involved thanks be to God.
Same here. But its back BA2 variant is the new moniker. More contagious but even milder than omicron. (Just read this)
Up to no good if you ask me, I believe every nasty thing has been planned. I don't know if we will reach a level of actual starvation, but I do think we will face some serious shortages and insane prices.
Yes, here in New Zealand we are having our main outbreak now, and we have reached peak hospitalisations. It is mainly Omicron and mainly B2. It is mainly affecting upper respitory tract, not the lungs as a general rule. The main most common sympton is a runny nose. Also fatigue and often a sore throat. (So it is presenting like a common cold for some.) Always test if you hve cold symptoms. some have gastrointestinal symptoms too. It is killing some (few) people but very few below 60 years of age. As age rises, so does the mortality rate. However we are having occasional deaths of people below 60. It is causing some to be put into ICU but the majority are staying home to recover from it. The fatigue often lingers after recovery.
It's the same around here with Omicron although a few of my extended family have had more severe symptoms. One of them described it as being sore all over along with the other symptoms and the severe headache. Normally a very active person, she couldn't drag herself out of bed. Most had very mild symptoms but antigen tests are positive for about 12 days. Despite it being so contagious, in three of the families there was one person in the household who wasn't infected.
Geezzz, maybe that’s my problem….. I should buy stock in Kleenex…well, not actually. Stocks are risky now more than ever
Headaches are a bad symptom. My sister said no amount of pain killer helped. It lasted two long days. Down for three days total. Over and done.
What seems most common, at least in my extended family, is that it can take days after the onset of symptoms for a positive antigen test. Then the test keeps showing positive for a week or more after symptoms have gone.
Don't forget having the right energy rating on our homes. My sister told me that she heard on the radio yesterday that later this year it will be illegal to burn any smoke emitting solid fuel which includes logs, turf and peat briquettes. I think that smokeless coal and probably wood pellets will be allowed but you need a wood burning stove for the pellets and I think most of the coal comes from Ukraine or Russia. She was listening to the radio (I wish she wouldn't because hearing it from her is as bad as listening to it myself) and they were talking about the cost of making houses energy efficient. Seems it costs about €40,000. I think she said there's a government grant for about half the amount but the grant is only paid after the work is done so the householder has to pay the €40k and then claim the grant. How many householders have that kind of money under the mattress?
curious if the non-infected was vaccinated, had previous recovery from Covid, or still has never gotten Covid?
Outrageous, like Joe Biden's plan for everyone to own a $60,000 electric car...where is this money coming from? We can't print it like our government does.
