I have just recently found the paintings of this Polish artist (1843-1902). I find his depictions of the New Testament inspiring and evocative. By the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Mary of Magdalas servants. Some scholars believe Mary of Magdala was never a prostitute but because she was of Greek origin and adopted Greek customs caused scandal among the more orthodox Jews. Last Supper: Baptism of Christ: Christ blessing the children:
