A tragic shooting in Chicago resulting in a 25-year-old man of Puerto Rican heritage dead, and his 24-year-old wife or girlfriend, also of Puerto Rican heritage, critically injured. They were attacked by three gunmen during a Puerto Rican Day Parade. Supposedly their Puerto Rican flag was mistaken for a Confederate (??!) flag OR that it was a gathering of Trump supporters (that seems more likely). If the latter, then it's a terrible consequence of the continual and rabid hatred of our former President. I sincerely hope the victims in this terrible incident did not incite hatred in that regard. If so, that'd be especially ironic. Prayers for the victims and their families.
If it was a parade for Puerto Rico day, there should not have been confusion. Unfortunately, there is video of this incident. Horrible. I am reading they had just left Chicago's 43rd annual Puerto Rican people parade. In my small city, on Monday, June 21, an illegal alien named Arciniega-Saenz, attacked, stabbed to death, and mutilated a 51-year-old Latino man, a Mr. Garcia, whom he believed (claimed) had raped his wife four years ago (I doubt this) in a public park (at night). It's not been said how both of them ended up in that park, so I'm wondering if it were a random attack. The illegal alien also decapitated Mr. Garcia, then "kicked his head around like a soccer ball." Arciniega-Saenz is now OUT ON BAIL. I sure hope he is on house arrest with an electronic ankle monitor! But he should still be IN JAIL. Husband, this morning, is looking at two homes for sale in a little town 35 miles north of us. He's wanting smaller for safety.

But if you are here to further divide the MOG family, then maybe should read up on the Beatitudes of the Peacemaker. Let's view things in the light of eternity, and not on the basis of skin. Everybody take a deep breath and pray the St Michael prayer. This forum is experiencing a fierce attack in case no one noticed. I have seen the enemy use the same tactic with prayer groups back in the days of the charismatic renewal. Divide and conquer. Very effective strategy against sincere prayerful people who cannot be turned from Our Lord through baser passions. Please let us keep in mind that we all share this forum to support each other and pray for each other. Nobody is trying to divide anybody! Let's Not ascribe bad motives to our fellow members. Never have I read before in this forum the words: White privilege, Hierarchy of Color, White Hierarchy, Marx or constant mention of racial ethnicity; except on DesertStar7's posts on the "Wars and rumors of wars on the TLM" thread and here. It just sounded like the budding of a critical race theory indoctrination. And the end of said indoctrination is division. But I do hope I'm wrong, as I usually am.
My husband of 28 years is Latino, and I've resided with him in a Latino neighborhood that long. The victim of a crime (post above) is Latino. I mourn this man's tragic murder. You're overly sensitive and making false accusations. Why?
No, I am not. Stop with the false accusations. I am in sympathy with VICTIMS of crime who aren't White. How is that racist? It isn't. I reside in a Latino neighborhood with my Latino husband, so TRAGIC EVENTS happening to Latinos is of concern to me. I also stood up for non-White Catholic hierarchy who seem to be pushed around by European hierarchy. Why are you seeing "racism" where it isn't? It's because I'm White. That makes you two racist. Completely agree with you DesertStar7, you didn't do those things they accused you of, you were just stating facts. The devil is having a field day dividing people into camps, us against "them". Don't fall into that trap, people. The accuser is the evil one, he's the one sowing fear, uncertainty and doubt. Peace to all! So if the victim is White, you will not be in sympathy? Are white people not part of the Body of Jesus? I thought we are all children of a loving God? I am neither a psychic nor omniscient, So I have no way of knowing you're such. This assumption btw was the basis of branding me a racist. All faithful Catholics should feel sorry for any victim because we all are brothers and sisters in Christ, irrespective of skin color or racial ethnicity. We all know the sorrow that sin, esp. crimes, bring to our Lord Jesus Christ. And this bickering is surely also causing Him pain for wanting us to be at peace within ourselves and with others. But since I have already said my piece and not be found guilty of omission, I will now hold to dear silence. I wish you all a Blessed Sunday. May we ALL end up in the bossom of our Heavenly Father.
I will just say, if one is near the border with Mexico, one might be more sensitive to events. My view, is no one is treated worse than the migrants and that is from human traffickers, sometimes having to cross hot deserts as in Arizona or being stuck in a cargo truck where it is hard to breath. And in the meantime, the criminal cartels seem to be making a lot of money on this, the border becomes a no-man's land and I think most of the migrants are good people but with the atmosphere, some bad people do come through. The tragedies are numerous, the Death Train for example is one and the list is long: El tren de la muerte - Wikipedia Yes, the problem needs to be addressed in a fair way for everyone concerned on both sides of the border. I can see one using sort of scare-stories to get their point across and I don't mean that to be offensive. Migrants have it tough, today in the news, a ship of migrants in the Mediteranian sunk, many rescued but 43 souls lost their lives the last I read: Scores dead as migrant boat sinks off Tunisia | Migration | The Guardian Though we think of this happening nowadays, these kinds of events I was surprised to find out, happened 20 years ago. The ship was probably overloaded. These people go through great difficulties.
