Mark Mallett with an excellent reflection on where we are in Revelations and how it is unfolding as we speak: "AS extraordinary events unfold around the globe, it’s often “looking back” that we see most clearly. It’s very possible that a “word” put on my heart years ago is now unfolding in real time… THE GREAT STORM Over fifteen years ago, the words came to me as clear as the thunder storm that was rolling toward me on the horizon: There is a Great Storm coming upon the earth like a hurricane.” As I explained recently in Warp Speed, Shock and Awe, that word was followed shortly thereafter with another as I began to read the sixth chapter of the Book of Revelation: This IS the Great Storm. In other words, the “seals” that are broken open are a series of global events, allowed and even used by God, to rapidly bring the world to its knees. In light of recent events, I believe we may in fact be seeing the definitive opening of these seals in real time and in the most unexpected ways, as I’ll explain. St. Paul once wrote: Our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect… For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. (1 Cor 13:9, 12) Hindsight is sometimes the greatest teacher, as much as standing on a mountain and looking back gives the greatest perspective. With each passing day now, the veil seems to be lifting and the Book of Revelation taking on new meaning and perspective. The word Apocalypse, after all, means “unveiling”…" You can read it all here: https://www.markmallett.com/blog/opening-of-the-seals/
Fr Gobbi, the visionaries at Medugorje and other various prophetic mystics have said that the events of our times are described precisely in Chapter 12 of the Book of the Apocalypse. So indeed they are. But don't go rushing to the Bible. before cracking it open pray, pray pray for the Holy Spirit to enlighten you with a Spirit of humility and real holy hunger rather than just sheer nosiness otherwise the words written in the Good Book will sound like. 'One flew over the cuckoos nest.'
The Woman and the Dragon 12 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”a]">[a] And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days. 7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. 12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” 13 When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach. 15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.
Yes. But what really hurts to the very quick is that in the first place it comes from within, from demons who are supposed to be our Spiritual Fathers. Demons in clerical robes of high office. Second Judas's . Betrayers of the Faith in rich robes of purple and scarlet and white.
Yes, but it's not all of them, just the 3rd that have fallen. The good news is Mary has been rising up many young priests who are very very faithful. They're our future bishops and will lead us into the Triumph. We'll have to first protect many of them, but there's enough of us around ready to stand and protect and fight if it comes to that and get them through to the Triumph.
As it was with Jesus. Those closest to Him, those put in charge of His people. The highest Temple priest official and his cohorts. Sickening.
There’s an interesting conference coming up towards the end of this month on the subject of apostasy, and some folks are overreacting to it:
Obedience is of the Good Angels. Rebellion of the bad. Pride causes rebellion. Humility, obedience. Let us be like Mary, always saying, 'Yes'. But I have to say these awful people are a real, real, real total pain in the nether regions. A real, real, real total pain..
What an example and light is Mary, Star of the Sea in these awful, awful times! May she always guide us in this grim, grim, terrible Darkness!
If they successfully suppress diocesan and FSSP, ICK etc offerings of the TLM, they’ll simply have forced many of us into the SSPX, despite its warts. The TLM genie is out of the bottle, it’s been embraced by too many young and growing families and young priests to stop it now, and this persecution by TPTB in Rome will just make TLM supporters more devoted and the movement will grow even more, despite their nefarious intentions. And no, TLM attendance is NOT just a matter of simple “liturgical preference” for which we must just “obey” Rome. With the TLM comes ALL the traditional theology and traditional teaching of Faith and Morals. That’s why they hate it. They can’t have acceptance of homosexuality, same sex marriage, contraception, divorce and remarriage and universal access to Holy Eucharist as long as the TLM and its supporters exist and their communities continue to grow at a pace the post VII church cannot hope to equal or turn back. Rome does not have the authority to disobey God. Lex malla, lex nulla.
It's hard to even describe the various emotions this news produces in me... The great sadness over the potential loss of the TLM my whole family has fallen in love with (my son is beginning Latin in school and is about to begin his altar server training, he loves the Mass so much now; we all even learned the rosary in Latin); the wondering of how I will explain to my son why we can no longer go, if that truly be the case; the apprehension of what traditional Catholics as a whole will do (How many will disobey? Will there be schism?), the great danger this will place so many souls in, the wondering of what God will do... I'm still praying that God will intervene somehow; that He will soften it. But if it does happen that we effectively lose our TLM, I hope that traditional TLM-loving Catholics will be an example to others with their love for obedience AND zeal for defending the Mass. I pray they won't disobey and act in anger but instead rally together and write respectful pleading letters to our bishops and the Pope, pray like never before, hold Eucharistic processions, anything and everything we can do as a traditional Catholic community that isn't disobedience or schism!
Please explain what you mean here. I'm genuinely interested in how shutting down the TLM would be disobeying God.
The TLM was not abrogated and cannot be abrogated. Even by a pope. To try to do so would both fail and be disobedience to God. I expanded my post you quoted. It may partially answer your question.
I don't know. It feels very confusing. I'll have to pray more about all of it, but I do think that the safest thing is to respect our bishop's wishes. Knowing our FSSP priests, they are far too holy and obedient to disobey the bishop and secretly offer TLM if it's expressly forbidden. I don't believe our bishop would do that though. He's a good bishop. I think what hurts the most in all of this (and maybe I shouldn't feel so hurt) is that Pope Francis is supposed to be all of our Holy Father...but he seems like he doesn't want to be my father, or people like me. Maybe he thinks those drawn to tradition don't want him for their father? Perhaps he feels hurt by us? I think I'm going to write him a letter.
The suppression of the TLM, and the traditional moral teachings intricately associated with it, IS this pope’s own agenda. What good, exactly, would writing a letter to such a heterodox and recalcitrant pope accomplish?
