We need in other countries also politicians like Abby Johnsson to defend life. Unfortunately in Europe there are few brave people who defend life. In France they have extended abortion until the moment of birth, something Satanic. Pray the rosary a lot

  7. This really should be "banned in Boston"!:

Boston Priest Urges Vote for Joe Biden Because He Is ‘Pro-Life’

A Boston priest wrote this week people can be pro-life even if they support abortion rights, urging his followers to vote for Joe Biden in November.

“I am pro-life and I believe in a woman’s right to choose,” writes Msgr. Paul Garrity, pastor of the parish of the Sacred Heart in Lexington (MA), in a recent Facebook post. “I will vote for Joe Biden for President because I believe that Joe Biden is Pro-life like me.”

The Boston priest said that “Catholics and others who believe as I believe should elect Joe Biden to be the next president of the United States of America.”

“I am pro-life and I believe that every woman who becomes pregnant deserves to have the freedom to choose life. This is what I believe Joe Biden believes and is one of the many reasons that I will vote for him in November,” said Msgr. Garrity in his August 23 post titled “I AM PRO-LIFE AND SUPPORT JOE BIDEN.”

In his post, the priest also takes aim at an organization called Catholic Vote, insisting that the group does not speak for the Catholic Church. He also says that his own nuanced position on abortion “reflects the wisdom of Pope Francis.”

As of this writing, the priest’s Facebook post appears to have been deleted.

In a follow-up email statement to Catholic News Agency (CNA), Msgr. Garrity insisted that Catholics “should not be ‘single issue’ voters” and that the Church is “neutral” on the issue of voting.

Garrity said the reason he posted on Facebook was “to tell Catholics that it is okay to vote for Joe Biden, that they have a moral choice to make in the upcoming election.”

Biden is the “pro-life candidate,” Garrity said, that adding that “in the 2016 election, church-going Catholics were told they had no choice by bishops and priests.”

“I am hopeful this will not happen again,” he said.

Last Friday, Tennessee Bishop Rick Stika questioned Joe Biden’s claims to being a devout Catholic, suggesting that Biden’s public stance against Church teaching regarding abortion means he is not in full communion with the Church.

“Don’t understand how Mr. Biden can claim to be a good and faithful Catholic as he denies so much of Church teaching especially on the absolute child abuse and human rights violations of the most innocent, the not yet born,” Bishop Stika wrote.

Last May, the bishop of Providence, Rhode Island, insisted that a person cannot be Catholic and pro-abortion because it would be a “contradiction in terms.”

“Just saw a headline in a Catholic newspaper with the phrase ‘pro-abortion Catholic.’ Sorry. That’s a contradiction in terms,” wrote Bishop Thomas J. Tobin on Twitter. “You can’t be a Catholic, at least not an authentic one, and be ‘pro-abortion.’ Or ‘pro-choice.’ It’s the same thing.”

The Catholic Church teaches that abortion is a grievous moral evil equivalent to murder, as it involves the intentional killing of an innocent unborn child. Being in full communion with the Catholic Church entails embracing its core teachings on faith and morals.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person — among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.”

Abortion “is gravely contrary to the moral law,” the Catechism declares, and, therefore, a person who procures an abortion incurs excommunication from the Church “by the very commission of the offense.”

During his campaign, Mr. Biden has reiterated his support for abortion on demand and has promised to work to repeal the Hyde and Helms Amendments that protect taxpayers from having to finance abortions.

LOL.....so this priest is "pro-life"?????? I don't think his definition of pro-life is what Webster's dictionary would define it. A woman's choice.........is not PRO- life. He believes in a woman's choice to murder. WOW!!!! Praying for this priest and the many who believe like him. How very sad !

  9. Trump Asks Supreme Court To Reinstate Abortion Pill Restrictions Relaxed Due To Pandemic

The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court on Wednesday to reinstate regulations on abortion pills that a federal judge had suspended for the duration of the pandemic.

The federal rules, set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), require that abortion-inducing pills be dispensed in person at a medical office. Such drugs can be used to terminate a pregnancy up to 10 weeks.

The High Court has mostly turned away challenges to virus-related restrictions. In a May decision, Chief Justice John Roberts warned that the courts should not "second-guess" decision makers or interfere with public-health policy during the pandemic. Wednesday's emergency appeal sets that commitment against a politically sensitive question during an election season.

The administration took up Roberts's theme to criticize a federal trial court in Maryland for applying its decision to all patients and providers, a so-called nationwide injunction.

"That sort of judicial management of public-health policy is inappropriate," acting solicitor general Jeff Wall wrote, adding elsewhere that the need for the Court to curb nationwide injunctions "has become acute." The administration has been beset by such orders on issues ranging from immigration to the president's ban on transgender military personnel.

A coalition of doctors and pro-choice groups say that the FDA rules violate the Constitution "by imposing life-threatening viral exposure risks as a condition of accessing abortion." They argue that the drug should be available by mail order and note that the FDA has encouraged doctors and patients alike to use tele-health alternatives as much as possible.

The ACLU is representing the plaintiffs.

"Forcing patients to travel during a pandemic just to pick up a pill is irrational and dangerous, which is why the medical community uniformly opposes this senseless rule," ACLU staff lawyer Julia Kaye said in a statement. "We hope the Supreme Court will deny the Trump administration's cruel attempt to score political points by putting people seeking essential reproductive health care at needless risk."

I know others here have posted comparing President Trump to King Cyrus written of in the Old Testament Book of Isaiah. Here's an interesting, hopeful article:
    https://www.theeponymousflower.com/

Did POTUS 45 Make the Scriptures?

    By David Martin

Cyrus the Great was a towering figure of world history who is credited with founding the first empire, who was the first man ever to be called "Great," and who delivered the Jews from Babylonian captivity in 539 BC, yet he himself was not a member of the Jewish religion.

Moreover, he benevolently encouraged over 40,000 Jews to return to their Jewish homeland and he funded the restoration and rebuilding of the Jewish temple. He is seen as a hero who revived the cause of God's people and is even praised by God Himself in the Old Testament books, yet he was something of a Gentile who had multi-wives. http://cyrusthegreat.net/

In the Book of Isaias, God speaks of Cyrus the Great to come. "Thus saith the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I have taken hold of, to subdue nations before his face, and to turn the backs of kings, and to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut. I will go before thee, and will humble the great ones of the earth ... For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have made a likeness of thee, and thou hast not known me... I have raised him up to justice, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and let go my captives, not for ransom, nor for presents, saith the Lord the God of hosts." (45: 1,2,4,13)

Bear in mind that while the Old Testament prophecies often refer to events yet to occur in the Old Testament, they sometimes also refer to events to come in the latter days of Christendom. For example, the prophet Joel says, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy: your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.... The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood: before the great and dreadful day of the Lord doth come." (Joel 2: 28,31)

The Apostle Peter explains that this verse from Joel was fulfilled with the outpouring of the Holy Ghost on Pentecost (Acts 2:16-21), but at the same time it also refers to the last days just before Christ’s Second Coming when God will again pour out His Spirit through a Great Illumination. (See also Isaias 24: 21-23 and Apocalypse 6:12-17)

    A Latter Day Cyrus

Similarly, Isaias prophesied the noble deeds of Cyrus the Great, which were fulfilled in 539 BC, but this prophecy also seems to reference a Cyrus figure of the last times, which we might understand to be President Donald Trump.

For he too is something of a Gentile who has had multi-wives. And while Trump is not an official member of the One True Apostolic Church (prefigured by the old Jewish Faith), he nonetheless is a very prominent figure whom God has raised up to deliver America from the captivity of a Babylonian New World Order. For Trump has rebuked and stood against the U.N. for its attempts to undermine U.S. sovereignty and globalize America. Accordingly, he has built up our military, guarded our borders, created 5.3 million new jobs and has brought American commerce abroad back home.

In every which way he has sought to defend the life and liberty of our predominately Christian nation, which more and more is being shackled by globalists, and has stood by the Christian sector in their attempts to reopen their churches against political pharaohs who lord it over them.

Moreover, he has defended the unborn like no other president of U.S. history, being the first president ever to participate in the annual March for Life, and has completely cut U.S. tax-funding for any groups abroad that promote and provide abortion, and has gone to bat for the cause of religious liberty and traditional family values against a daily barrage of media attacks that he endures for the cause. Like a true Republican he has stood with the people, enduring their pains, while continually encouraging them on to victory – a victory that unquestionably could change the course of history.

Is it any wonder that a man of his stature might make the Scriptures? In a similar way that the exodus wrought by God through the hand of Moses prefigured how Christ would come to deliver us from the bondage of sin, so it appears that Cyrus the Great prefigured a latter-day Cyrus who would rise up to revive the cause of the loyal and true.

    Providential Marvels

That the Cyrus prophesied in Isaias might be a figure of President Trump should not seem outlandish. If one finds this far-fetched, let him consider the number of the chapter, for it is Isaias chapter 45. POTUS 45 anyone?

The hand of providence certainly suggests he was meant to be the illustrious leader of America. For instance, on June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the “Stars and Stripes” as the official American flag, whereupon June 14 from thence would be recognized as “Flag Day.”

June 14 also happens to be Donald Trump’s birthday; he was born June 14, 1946. When we add the month and day of his birth (6 + 14) it comes out to 20. When we add the numbers of the year (1-9-4-6) it also comes out to 20, for a total of 2020 - the historic election year wherein he is expected to score a big victory.

Our prayer is that he will win the election so that he can continue his mission to resurrect America from the swamp of Globalism that is continuing to sink our American liberties.

“For the Lord knoweth all knowledge, and hath beheld the signs of the world, he declareth the things that are past, and the things that are to come, and revealed the traces of hidden things. No thought escapeth him, and no word can hide itself from him.” (Ecclesiasticus 42:19)

The wisdom of St Pope John Paul II

The inviolability of the person which is a reflection of the absolute inviolability of God, fínds its primary and fundamental expression in the inviolability of human life. Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights-for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture- is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination.

I don't know how someone can define pro-life if they say that women have a right to decide. Decide who can kill the conceived? But do they consider us fools trying to play with language? Equidistant positions are not worth, or you are in favor of life or in favor of death. There is no intermediate position on this issue.

Great news. Lin Wood is one of the best in the USA. I've heard him on Catholic radio. You can question the wisdom of the boy even being there, but every shot was in self-defense.
