I thought it would be good to start a one stop thread to come to find all these great videos that we have come across and posted on the site over the years. I have seen so many over the years on this site, but can never find them again because they are buried in other threads. With this, we can come and find these great videos! I'll start with some of my favorites like the Shroud of Turin.
The Chosen I have watched the first 6 of these so far and really am enjoying them. It is a slightly different take on the life of Jesus in the sense we are seeing it through mainly the lives of the people around him which takes into a rather fictional account of these people's lives and even blends some of the stories together but it is really well done. I encourage you to check them out. I did not watch them until Father Goring mentioned that they are watching it in his Monastery and it is bringing them joy with each viewing. I can attest the same! I have been watching them on youtube, but for some reason can't find them right now (probably because I am on my work computer and it has been blocked) but here is the app that you an watch them for free on: https://thechosen.tv/app here is episode 3 livestream which I loved because it is focused so much on Jesus ministry to children first before it is His time. The show starts at the 12 minute mark:
Episode 3 was my favorite, probably the most fictional out of them all. Most of the episodes are based on familiar bible stories, with their own creative interpretation, without changing any of the messages. I loved how they had Jesus teach the children first, as if it would energize Him to start His ministry. You could sense from the body language portrayed by the actor that he knew it would be much harder preaching His ministry to the adults. Fictional of course, but the way it is done, it makes the characters very relatable. I found the series gives you more things to meditate on.
Couldn't help but think in episode 3 how if that occurred today Jesus would have been jailed for meeting like that with children.
