Yes I am afraid most people are not ahead of the ball on this.

It truly is Satanic. I am so grateful I do not live anywhere near the Vatican. It must be like living next door to hell.

I would be afraid to sleep at nights there. Very, very powerful demons indeed on the loose.

The good honest folk who live there like the poor Swiss Guards and their families must wonder. May protect them.

I debated about posting this, it's so depressing, but I just needed to vent. The last couple of posts about sexual perversion hit a nerve with me. Operation homosexual cover up is still marching on my diocese. I had just read a 'quietly' released report about the two more priests accused of sexual misconduct in our diocese. In verifying the report, I was horrified to discover an additional list of priests from our diocese who had been suspended for credible allegations of abuse all in 2019. These priests are homosexuals, and one of these priests actually married me and my husband. :cry:Sorry but this just turns my stomach. These priests were shuffled around from parish to parish as is usually the case. I cannot accept that fellow diocesan clergy, and bishops over the years had no knowledge of their behavior; they deliberately chose silence rather than protect the victims. There is a long list of bishops in our diocese who were likely involved in protecting these abusers, one of them, Cardinal Sean O'Malley. With everything that has gone down in the Church I should be immune to this by now, but it is still so difficult to process, and especially shocking hitting so close to home. It only makes it more unbearable to know that we have a Pope who promotes the normalization of homosexuality; I find this totally mind blowing. I do not hate homosexuals, they carry a heavy cross and they deserve our prayers. I do detest their perverted behavior, and I will not be a party to accompanying men who peruse this lifestyle. They have likely caused great heartache for their own families, and have no place in the priesthood; they are not representatives of Jesus Christ. It is beyond disturbing that these men were encouraged to hide behind their collars, duping the faithful and destroying vocations. It makes my soul cry to think that homosexual clergy are in the majority, but it appears to be the case. One of my grandsons is an altar server, I pray that he will always be surrounded by good and faithful priests. God help us.

A Knights of Columbus council near here was named after a priest who was later found to have molested someone. The name of the council had to be changed.

    Sorry to hear this news.

It would be advisable to take out your grandson but I can't tell you what to do.

Alternative is to follow him around during church services even in sacristy in your presence so you could see him there.

From experience, sacristy is the place where they start with. So better safe than sorry re if you could advise your children to take him out. If that is not possible then follow him around & close in your presence so that priests may get the message.

One to one situation re altar boys when priest are alone with one altar boy. This type of situation usually happens in my experience but didn't happen in my case except my friend who was trapped at one time.

Thank you Irishguy2. I will keep a very close watch on grandson. I know my daughter would be terribly upset if she had to pull him out since he enjoys serving and has developed good friendships. How sad is it to have these concerns about children serving at Mass. Our deacon is a very good family man, I am going to tell my grandson to stay in his sight at all times. What a mess.

  10. Parents really do need to be vigilant.

It is not just priests, school teachers, coaches, club leaders.

People are well aware of Boy Scout leaders at this point. What is not so immediatly apparent is older, teenage scouts corrupting younger scouts. It is a huge problem. My boy became an Eagle scout 8 years ago. After the first signs of older scouts being lude during his first year, I never let him camp out or be alone with older scouts. We even changed troups but it was just as bad with the new troup. I had to separate the younger ones and send a scout home.

The problem is that scouts emphasize older scouts leading the younger ones. It is a perfect situation for teenage abusers who have likely been abused themselves.

So true. It's depressing really. But it's been around for a long time, perhaps with social media it's coming out more. Plus keeping quiet is not as prevalent. I just feel awful for all the little kids, girls and boys. We must be getting closer to the big shake up, it's so needed now.

You know the more all this is borught out into the open the more these people stonewall or even justify themselves. They have totally no shame.

I don't know what happens elsewhere, but every parish here has safety guidelines. The person training the altar servers in our parish is a woman. There are no altar servers at daily Mass, most likely because they are in school. The sacristy door is usally propped open and even if it isn't there's a window in the door. The sacristy is a hive of activity before and after every Mass, with people booking Masses or leaving the offering for the next Mass. Any time I have had reason to go into the sacristry there have been three or four other parishioners in there for various reasons.

Your daughter has probably done this already, but tell her to ask about her parish's safety guidelines, see do they address any concerns you or she might have, and check that they are being followed assiduously. Any parish that doesn't meet those standards is asking for trouble, not least from future fraudulent accusations because nowadays innocent until proven guilty applies to everyone except Catholic priests.

The overwhelming majority of our priests are good, innocent men who answered God's call to serve Him and us in ordained ministry and are no more likely to be complicit in sexual abuse than people in any other walk of life. The homosexual culture didn't prevail in all seminaries and many religious orders have their own formation programmes independent of diocesan seminaries. Even the bad seminaries produced some good priests who got through despite the people running them. While Pope Francis and the people close to him display a marked preference for people engaged in all kinds of sexual licentiousness, especially of the homosexual kind, that won't be the case all across the Church. Going forward, the majority of our priests will most likely come from Africa where the Bishops are less likely to tolerate lavendar mafias in their seminaries, especially when they see the harm that culture has done to the priesthood in the developed world.

When I see comments like "we can't trust any of them", my heart goes out to people like Brian and Mario whose sons have given up everything to follow Christ. Should it transpire that your grandson has a vocation, how would you feel to see him automatically labeled as evil because he asnwered God's call? I have the utmost sympathy for abuse victims but prejudice against all priests simply because they are priests is not Christian and does nobody any good.

It's all a satanic abuse of authority, whereby the victim is under the power of someone they are meant to trust. It is not only their sexual integrity that is threatened, but their faith in the whole concept of good authority. Unsurprising if many lose their faith. I suspect that the enormous focus on clerical abuse is allowing all these others to get in under the radar. Worse, given the development of these 'drag-queen' hours and the like, it seems only a matter of time before the abusers receive society's approval. This will be justified by their facilitating children to 'release' their 'oppressed' sexual identity. Objectors, as happened recently in Australia, will be shouted down as being 'homophobic' and 'transphobic'. I do think we will actually need a Chastisement of very severe proportions at this point.

This video should be compulsory viewing for all our Bishops, starting with the Pope. In fact it should be shown to every Catholic, especially cradle Catholics who vote for abortion supporting politicians:

Pornography is also a factor. The internet has made pornography accessible to everyone, especially teenagers: https://fightthenewdrug.org/10-porn-stats-that-will-blow-your-mind/

Parents need to be extra vigilant about what their kids are viewing online. I'm sure I recall Patrick Coffin recommending some kind of safety tool parents can install on their children's IT devices. Might be worth checking out because you can't be looking over their shoulder every minute of the day and night. It won't protect them from what their friends show them but it could prevent them becoming addicted at an early age.

There are very simple ways to go about eliminating it that don't cost anything and are just a matter of re-configuring some software settings on your phone and home router. It uses the honor system but all of these things can be defeated if someone is savvy so I think it is the best solution. If someone is determined they will do what they want and lie about it anyway.
The day that new laws are passed severely limiting porn peddlers is the day that I know we have leadership that is putting the good of the nation above profit and other motives.
