Dear young people, it is up to you to be the watchmen of the morning who announce the coming of the sun who is the Risen Christ! —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Message of the Holy Father to the Youth of the World, XVII World Youth Day, n. 3; (cf. Is 21:11-12) …watchmen who proclaim to the world a new dawn of hope, brotherhood and peace. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Address to the Guanelli Youth Movement, April 20th, 2002 God himself had provided to bring about that “new and divine” holiness with which the Holy Spirit wishes to enrich Christians at the dawn of the third millennium, in order to “make Christ the heart of the world.” —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Address to the Rogationist Fathers, n. 6, …every day in the prayer of the Our Father we ask the Lord: “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt 6:10)…. we recognize that “heaven” is where the will of God is done, and that “earth” becomes “heaven”—i.e., the place of the presence of love, of goodness, of truth and of divine beauty—only if on earth the will of God is done. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, General Audience, February 1st, 2012, Vatican City Empowered by the Spirit, and drawing upon faith’s rich vision, a new generation of Christians is being called to help build a world in which God’s gift of life is welcomed, respected and cherished… A new age in which hope liberates us from the shallowness, apathy, and self-absorption which deaden our souls and poison our relationships. Dear young friends, the Lord is asking you to be prophets of this new age… —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Homily, World Youth Day, Sydney, Australia, July 20th, 2008 …turning our eyes to the future, we confidently await the dawn of a new Day… “Watchmen, what of the night?” (Is. 21:11), and we hear the answer: “Hark, your watchmen lift up their voice, together they sing for joy: for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion”…. “As the third millennium of the Redemption draws near, God is preparing a great springtime for Christianity and we can already see its first signs.” May Mary, the Morning Star, help us to say with ever new ardor our “yes” to the Father’s plan for salvation that all nations and tongues may see his glory. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Message for World Mission Sunday, n.9, October 24th, 1999; The task of humble Pope John is to “prepare for the Lord a perfect people,” which is exactly like the task of the Baptist, who is his patron and from whom he takes his name. And it is not possible to imagine a higher and more precious perfection than that of the triumph of Christian peace, which is peace at heart, peace in the social order, in life, in wellbeing, in mutual respect, and in the brotherhood of nations. —POPE JOHN XXIII …“new and divine” holiness with which the Holy Spirit wishes to enrich Christians at the dawn of the third millennium, in order to make Christ the heart of the world. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, L’Osservatore Romano, English Edition, July 9th, 1997 The hour has come when the message of Divine Mercy is able to fill hearts with hope and to become the spark of a new civilization: the civilization of love. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Homily, Krakow, Poland, August 18th, 2002; Below attachment will tell you more:
And....do you remember Sr. Catherine of Mother Angelica's order and who took care of Mother until her death? Well, this site gives a lot of sources for learning of the DW, and you'll see that Sr. Catherine, now Mother Gabrielle Marie, was given permission to begin this new order of the DW named The Benedictine Daughters of the Divine Will (along with the Monks of the Divine Will), and was given a home for this new order in a beautiful little town in Tuscany region of Italy.....the monks were given a home something like 20 miles away I believe. It is a very "little" and "simple" order, welcoming those to learn more about the DW in simplicity. There is also an associate group attached to the Sisters. The order is devoted to the Holy Family. https://www.queenofthedivinewill.or...rie-the-benedictine-daughters-of-divine-will/
We met Sr. Mary Catherine (now Mother Gabrielle Marie) when we lived in Hanceville. I can attest to her holiness!
As I grow older I grow simpler. I am unable to sort through the whole deep and complicated DW material. My heart is set on the Will of Jesus. I pray this unity every night and morning and often during the day. Like Brother Lwarence's "practicing the presence of God". I do not dispute that others are better able to probe the depths of these pages and pages of writing and find grace there. Perhaps years ago i might have too. But here where I'm standing it's all very simple. Very reduced. God's Will is my desire. On earth as it is in heaven and above all in my own heart. The Blessed Mother leads me. Jesus in the Holy Eucharist is my strength and sustenance and hope. Apart from Him i can do nothing. And the Mysteries of the Rosary provide deep wells of contemplation. That is all I can do. But God bless all others who embrace Luisa and her messages. May it bring them closer to Jesus. Like Winnie the Pooh I am a bear of very little brain.
To me, the doctrine of the Divine Will is so holy that it can only come from God; its holiness is another mark of its divine or supernatural origin. If St. Alphonsus can say, "A single act of uniformity with the divine will suffices to make a saint", then just imagine what a WHOLE LIFE of repeated acts, and a habitual state, of uniformity with the Divine Will can make. And can we not say perfect unity with the Divine Will is the perfect path also to happiness, even in this life, beside being a sure means of sanctity? A soul only intent on doing the Will of God is always happy wherever he or she is; whatever God has called him or her to do. All is well, because Fiat Voluntas Tua, always. Moreover, we can hardly conceive of how many Graces God gives to souls who live like that. And is not the root of so many modern difficulties, including the Crisis in the Church, that people don't want to do the Will of God, and are not conformed to it? So, we clearly see Divine Will is a solution to it. St. Louis Marie de Montfort also prays, "The only grace I beg you in your kindness to obtain for me is that every day and moment of my life I may say this threefold Amen: Amen, so be it, to all you did upon earth; Amen, so be it, to all you are doing now in heaven; Amen, so be it, to all you are doing in my soul. In that way, you and you alone will fully glorify Jesus in me during all my life and my eternity.” So, to say Amen or Fiat, to God and Mary, just like Mary Herself and even Jesus Himself did while on Earth, are among the greatest of graces we should always ask for in prayer. Of course, the Sacraments of the Church always produce an ex opere operato effect, when received with at least minimal dispositions. But we know their greater efficacy or more fruitful reception (e.g. The Holy Eucharist well received, with much love for God - and love for God is perfect conformity to His Will - produces a very high degree of grace; but received without much love, will produce an inferior degree of grace. Thus some persons, even who go for daily Mass or daily Communion, which is very wonderful, but not fully renouncing their own will, nor desiring God's Will above theirs, do not make as much progress as they could and should, and would if they did) is dependent on ex opere operantis (the work of the working one; not only, the work worked, i.e. "ex opere operato"). So that is where daily surrender to the Divine Will comes in. To me, it is a very holy doctrine, and a very wonderful and even necessary preparation to the coming triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, also called as the Kingdom of the Divine Will. Sin actually never had any place in God's original design for Creation. All of us were meant to live happily and holily, always doing God's Will, experiencing His Love and Care in everything, and never sinning, because we were always united to His Loving and Adorable Will, which is His Heart (Heart, Will, Love are all synonymous in God). We Love God and we progress in union with His Heart to the extent we surrender more and more to Him, and we progress in sanctity as we do. That Saintly Luisa Piccarreta was able to suffer so well and so worthily even in the amazing trials and terrible sorrows she went through shows the powerful efficacy of striving to live in conformity with the Divine Will. So let us all take to heart that "A single act of uniformity with the divine will suffices to make a saint". Only, let us not be content with a single act, but let us make many such acts! Till we arrive at, "If we would completely rejoice the heart of God, let us strive in all things to conform ourselves to his divine will. Let us not only strive to conform ourselves, but also to unite ourselves to whatever dispositions God makes of us. Conformity signifies that we join our wills to the will of God. Uniformity means more -- it means that we make one will of God's will and ours, so that we will only what God wills; that God's will alone, is our will. This is the summit of perfection and to it we should always aspire" (St. Alphonsus, Uniformity with God's Will; cited earlier). This "summit of perfection" is what the Good God, out of the excess of His Love, has more specifically made known to us in our times, that by the knowledge of it, we may strive to become saints.
AED, I think the video I cited in comment #38 would answer a lot for you (and others). It paints pictures; gives examples; gives us the bigger picture from one given the intellectual gifts to digest the whole thing and then give it to us in a more meaningful manner than only the "head" approach. It gives such a foundation for all that we might find very new and strange here....we find that it always existed in "intention" in the Mind of the Father. It really answers a lot of questions.....and those in the audience ask some of those same questions which are or have been our own here. I know it's long but you can take it like a retreat, pausing between sections and then returning after resting the heart and mind. Someone here just asked about the basis for the difference between the Mystical Marriage and living in the DW....Fr. I really goes into this difference. Something I picked up on....a different outlook....was how he differentiated by speaking to the fact that the person is not any holier than the other....it's just that the newer "gift" is holier and so those who live during our time have the opportunity to receive this later given gift. Like what was said about St. John the Baptist and who was holier.....one had the new gift of the Eucharist and the other had not as yet received or experienced it....the Eucharist at that time was, of course, the much better gift given for the people at that mandated time....in God's timeline! Of course we are told that we have to desire the gift....to desire to learn of it...or else Luisa wouldn't have been chosen as the teacher for us to learn about this. She didn't like writing every detail but Christ told her how very necessary every word was to be for His children. She was thus a servant for us! One learns little by little and through a perseverance of desire to actually live in Christ which we've always accepted ...to put on the Mind of Christ. Well, we are learning more and more just how the fullness of these things we've repeated so easily along our path of Faith is coming to pass in the fullness of Time. It doesn't come all at once. Luisa went in and out, and passed through certain stages, before she was "There" for all time.
Thank you, ETA! Today, I have listened to Father Iannuzzi's talk and initial Q and A session. I was blown away by his ability to articulate and express himself clearly. The most amazing fact is that he never once refers to notes; he just speaks from memory. What an intellect, yet he is not bombastic! He strikes me as not only humorous, but humble. I believe those who have issues and questions will find his answers are clear and encouraging. For instance, I was struggling with understanding "the rounds," but now find them very understandable: a task of Adam which is again bequeathed to the children of God. O Mary conceived without God, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
This is what Father Iannuzzi says in the file atached. it's actually a little bit forced to fit in him doctoral thesis. compare the fruits of the saints with the fruits of Luisa. according to his logic Luisa is the greatest saint of all time in the church, very special above all. I'll wait for her to become a doctor of the church. in the end what we have is the voice of luisa alone against the voice of the church and her saints. What will you choose?
Father Ianuzzi admits that there is a good form of consecration to Luisa. But who will want to consecrate himself to Luisa? I don't want to delve into it anymore
Jesus never says not to partake in the Sacraments. That would be a misstep, for Jesus himself received the Eucharist at the last supper. Jesus Himself was Baptized and confirmed in the Holy Spirit. Jesus also is the High Priest and His last words were Father I commend my spirit. Jesus redeemed all. The gift of living in the Divine Will is to give to God what is due to God On the scale of God. These writings tell us that with your desire to empty yourself out completely so that God can live in you completely your acts give to God what is due to God On the scale of God. You can not do that unless you live in His Holy Will. The Priests becomes the alter Christ and performs all the sacraments through Him With Him and in Him. Jesus is telling us that He is the high Priest and He consecrates us with our desire to be. You can not see it, but it is happening. It actually emphasizes how much importance should be placed on the Sacraments if souls is what God loves above all things and He says when you desire to live in His Will which is the Holiest thing you become one. This isn’t different than what we have learned the last 2000 years, what is the gift, is you can now give to God On the scale of God. You can receive the sacraments in the holiest of ways in His Will. Living in His will when you receive the sacraments you are receiving for all. Of course we still attend the sacraments. We do it to give to a God what is due to God and to do it for all souls. God has no feet but ours, no hands but ours, but now every breath, heartbeat and circulation of our blood is giving God praise and Glory. Every act becomes a kingdom for God. It is the greatest love there is. Souls are receiving all the Sacraments in a disorderly way, when you live in His Will and receive the sacraments you substitute for all and do it for all in an orderly way. Much is expected of a soul that lives in the Divine Will. Never believe anyone who tells you that the sacraments are no longer necessary. Mary
No, all authority has been given to the Archdiocese of Trani, Italy. The Archbishop Of Trani has approved some translations of the writings. The translation I have is approved. If you read Mark Mallett’s blog you will see that the writings are not forbidden, are not on hold as some are stretching this to seem to be the case. Our Blessed Mother through her prayers and love called down the Incarnation. Our Blessed Mother at the wedding feast of Canaan said do what He tells you which started Jesus ministry. Jesus tells us in the writings, in order for the Kingdom to come upon earth souls must live in His Will to call it down. The Our Father has been prayed for over 2000 years without the full knowledge of “Thy Kingdom Come Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”. It’s easy for people to believe that the tribulations and chastisements are coming, but won’t believe the kingdom, the era of peace is coming as well? Can you imagine if Christians had to wait until 300 AD for the Bible to be put together before they believed in Christ? Yet there are some postings telling you to wait before you can believe the era of peace is coming. Mary
Wow, you wrote it yourself. The human will is an ability to choose, a choice - to act. Hitler used His will to act, and so did every single soul since Adam but excluding the Blessed Mother and Jesus who chose to act and to sin. Thus making the human will the most evil thing there is.
