Also from the above article by Daniel O'Connor: https://dsdoconnor.com/2019/10/23/w...-out-and-the-long-prophesied-events-approach/ .....But it is about time I bring this post to a close, so I will wrap it up with a few more things: We also see more people waking up to Fulton Sheen’s insistence that we live in the age of the Antichrist: http://www.ncregister.com/blog/joseph-pronechen/did-fulton-sheen-prophecy-about-these-times . And speaking of the Antichrist and those who prophesy his imminent arrival, I’d like to again recommend Fr. Michele Rodrigue, whom I wrote about in my last post. Since writing that last post, I have watched two videos of his preaching: here and here; and I am now even more confident in his authenticity. A friend of mine reviewed dozens of CDs of Fr. Michele’s talks and shared with me, also, that Fr. Michele has said — with some sadness — that the Father’s next message to him will simply be to announce the arrival of the tribulations. If you are looking for a trustworthy guide through the confusion of the times, look no further than Cardinal Sarah. His latest book, The Day is Now Far Spent, is excellent. Christine Watkins has published a book on the Warning — that glorious, unprecedented event about to occur — which I highly recommend. Pedro Regis, a seer from South America who has the support of his Bishop, was in Italy this past week. Here are some excerpts from his messages:
A.C. Emmerick said essentially the same thing. As the Holy family went through Egypt idols were thrown down, and St. Joseph built a synagogue for the Jews. In other words they didn't sit and dialogue with the Egyptians and bow down and worship their idols and bring those idols into their synagogue, but that the Lord Jesus cast them down.

Someone may have already mentioned this, but on Twitter some Leftist-catholics are making the Pachamama abomination their profile pic on Twitter. Maybe we should respond to this by making of Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Traspontina, or a Pregnant Madonna Icon our profile pics on social media.
I suggest Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Americas' own indigenous apparition of Our Lady, and who converted all of Mexico. She also appears to have been pregnant. Also, with the miraculous qualities she presents, only discovered by the science of recent times, she is a very appropriate Our Lady for our times. Either way, you are perfectly right. In this battle, Our Lady it has to be.
There are aspects of some religions that might be a very inadequate way to seek God and these share what C.S. Lewis termed the Tao. The Tao is best defined, I suppose, as an approximate adherence to the Natural Law and usually such religions share a morality that includes the Golden Rule (Mohammedanism is an exception and does not) and similar, though not identical, approaches to sexual and other morality. Such religions would be, for example, Judaism; Buddhism and Hinduism of certain kinds; Aristotelianism-historical only; and some Mohammedanism. Paganism shares none of these attributes and is generally demon-worship. Ultimately, salvation is only possible through the Catholic Church. No matter where you're coming from, salvation is available from the Church Christ founded and no other. He said so Himself.
Reading these incredibly wise posts, a little alarm went off with me. We are told that it is unknown when the Second Coming will happen. Obviously, the Antichrist must precede this Event. Therefore, the coming of the Antichrist is unknowable. We are also told that these terrible events are conditional in that they can be kept at bay through prayer and righteous living. It doesn't seem implausible that the opposite might be true-in other words, the coming of these prophesied horrors might be brought forward in time through lack of prayer and devotion on the one hand and through increased unrighteous living on the other. Despite all the warnings to repent via several apparitions, the human race seems to have wilfully doubled down on sin. Therefore, these messages would seem to carry an absolute urgency and we should be prepared for the worst.
Few,if any, conservative Catholics, true Catholics, take Papa Francis seriously now, at least I don’t. Like Anne Catherine Emmerich wrote, we’ve clearly “split into two camps”, with, to quote Akita, “bishop against bishop, and cardinal against cardinal”. I’ve picked my side; I’m praying in Latin where possible, and those prayers in English, I’m learning in Latin, bit by bit. I wish I’d a TLM nearer me, but for now, I’m attending, N.O. I’ve said it before on this forum, and I’ll say it again- THANK GOD FOR THE PAPACY OF P FRANCIS!! Talk about shining a light on the Vatican and it’s “goings on”, what an awful place! I’ll never look at Rome in the same way again. I’m making it a personal quest to read every encyclical of Pope Leo XIII. Studying the writings of a real Pope. We ALL OWE IT TO OURSELVES, AND MUST TAKE GREAT RESPONSIBILITY, for our own Catholic education. Don’t pay any attention to filth emanating from Rome, don’t allow it into the garden of your mind. As for me, I’m building the walls of my God given mind ten meters higher, and only the works of good Catholics and good popes will henceforth be admitted to the garden and read by me. Nothing from any of the modernist infiltrated popes (later than 1959] will ever be read by me again. I’m APPALLED at whets happened in Rome since 2013 in general, and over the last month in particular.
Brilliant idea! I was actually thinking about this myself, there is a painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe out there that shows in the same pose, as the Pachamama abomination and, get this, it's called Mother of Life! A brilliant counter to that Pachamama abomination.
Mother of Life in the most real sense, being Mother of the Lord of Life. Mother of He who has created life and who offers Eternal Life.
You can't go wrong with those reading plans, although there's much that is orthodox from the pen of St John Paul II and in the later writings of Ratzinger/Benedict.
I often think of that movie. It makes an excellent analogy for our times. I think of Nathaniel Hawthorne's short story Young Goodman Brown. This young man in Salem, Mass. In the 1600's goes out on all hallow's eve to meet the devil. He doesnt really want to but it's a kind of daring stunt he sets for himself. He leaves his young wife Faith (allegory perhaps) who begs him not to go. On the road into the deep woods he runs into an older man dressed like a minister....before the night is through he sees a horrible blasphemy of witches and among are everyone from Salem village who he believed were good. The minister, the old woman who taught him his catechism--even his wife! He faints and when he wakes up he doesnt know if he dreamed all of it or if it really happened but Hawthorne comments the end result was the same. He could no longer trust anyone including his wife. And that to me is a perfect analogy for this time we are in. Those we have trusted the most.... The church hierarchy and the pope himself. Our government and the press....all the institutions of our functioning society are having masks stripped away. This is a dreadful time. A time of such chastisement. All hell has truly broken loose. But Christus Vincit Christus reignat Christus imperat!!!
Our Lady of Guadalupe it is! Dear Mother...mother of our dear Jesus, pray for us! thank you RW...great idea!
"Moreover, when Mary appeared to Juan Diego in the 1500s, she was, in effect, “tossing out” the barbaric practices and pagan symbols of the indigenous people living there. She was lovingly welcoming them into the Catholic way of life and eternal salvation. Yet if we follow the logic of those who are opposed to this, we’d have to view Our Lady of Guadalupe as a sort of theological terrorist guilty of violating the first principles of interreligious dialogue." -From Steven Kokx's LifeSite News blog here: https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/...ods-pachamama-idols-into-tiber-deserve-praise
Great insight. To follow it through to its logical conclusion, one would have to make the same accusation against Pentecost, the ultimate act of international theological colonialism ("go ye and teach all nations and baptise them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost"). Racism, disrespect, will to dominate over all the indigenous peoples of the world. Quite a rabbit-hole when you start following it.
Found a another interesting article on LifeSite by the Brazilian Juan Antonio Varas of Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira Institute: https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/pachamama-just-a-symbol-or-also-an-idol He mentions there being a lot comments on the symbolism around the fact that it was the Tiber River that the statues were thrown into. I'm curious, what are some of the symbolic elements surrounding the Tiber? When I first thought about it, my first parallel was a type of the Kidron Valley in which the idols of the Old Testament were burned.
