It's only three months to Christmas. Maybe the Pope is planning ahead. Imagine how the Holy Father might have opened the conversation: "Jimmy, I'm looking for a fairy for the top of the Christmas tree in St. Peter's Square". Now, how would a good Jesuit loyal to the Pope respond?????
Ahh! What a fine example of Ignatian spirituality - seeing the good in everyone. What a treasure is our Pope.
No one is putting words in my mouth. No one is pushing my buttons. Since Ireland has only been a nation state for less than a hundred years I do not see how it could have started declining centuries ago. The unreported jungle of Dublin gangs is very recent. The rot and uncivilised savagery and complete barbarism in England is recent. The rape epidemic in Sweden is very recent. Need I go on? I AM a Catholic and I am NOT afraid to stand against the importation of barbarism. Malachi Martin was an astute man who would have seen exactly what is going on. Pattern recognition is an innate human skill out of which civilisation grew. You deny what you see.
You don't need to tell me about the state of Ireland, particularly Dublin. Despite having nothing worth stealing, an expensive alarm system is a necessity here. And it isn't to deter foreigners. Our own home-grown scumbags are dab hands at burglary and terrorising the elderly. And every single one of them will have been educated in Catholic schools and received all the Sacraments of the Church. We Irish came cheap in the end. There's a remnant of faithful Catholics in some European countries but for the most part Europe has apostatised. You can protect the facade of democracy until you're blue in the face but be prepared for the worst if the apostates within the Church gain complete control. Not for nothing are we warned that the False Prophet will be one of our Bishops. Do you really believe that it won't take a gradual slide into apostasy for a Bishop to lead a majority of the Church to follow the AC? Did you think that such a delusion could be an overnight success? As the Church goes, so goes the world.
You can't beat a good dog. Never mind electronic devices. I have two very large white Japanese Akita's that resemble Polar Bears. The entire Chinese People's Liberation Army would hesitate before coming through my windows. Sometimes I am a bit hesitant myself.
Dolours, they were not educated in Catholic schools - that is the point. Church Truths have not been taught in schools for 2 generations. My own children were prepared for Holy Communion by a teacher who didn't even go to Mass herself or bring her own children. And another teacher told them they were getting 'blessed bread.' I won't continue this with you as you seem to think that because we have our own blaggards then why not import and support millions more. When crucifixes and cribs are being taken out of schools and nursing homes so as not to 'offend' these people and when they start voting in blocks and agitating for blasphemy laws we will know all about it. It's abortion now but don't pretend their doctors will not be engaged in sex-selective abortions as girls aren't wanted. Read St Thomas Aquinas on immigration. A Doctor of the Church who didn't worry about being politically correct. The destruction of nation states is INTEGRAL to Francis's and his buddies plan, otherwise why does he spend so much time and energy on it? Do you think it's out of the goodness of his heart? Why put that HUGE sculpture in the centre of the Vatican, because it is central to his plan. I am handing on a poisonous mess of a country to my children which will erupt and they will be left with the mess. Life is not a Coca Cola ad.
I’m appalled at the working drafts of the synod documents I’ve heard snippets from on YouTube. Appalled!! Absolutely appalled. I’m infuriated at more ‘rigid’ remarks coming from the Pope aimed at priests wearing Saturino hats. I’m being trad-shamed. I don’t care. Bring it on. I’m a rigid, orthodox-catholic, Latin language lovin’, saturino lovin’ trad. And after the silent protests in Rome with Michael Matt, Michael Vorus and John Henry Weston, us trads are in good company!
No, I don't think that importing more problems is the solution to our troubles. I do think that you are playing right into the hands of the anti-all religions crowd. What difference does it make if persecution comes at the hands of fanatics from another religion, atheist fanatics or baptised Catholics learning from no less a personage than the Pope that we are a threat to world peace and progress? Nearly all heresies in the history of the Church originated in the priesthood. The apostasy we see now began in the priesthood. The faithless hierarchy in Rome think they can circumvent God's will by misrepresenting the Holy Spirit. And they will appear to succeed for a while. You only have to look back at posts on this forum around the time Amoris Laetitia was published to see the willingness of some Catholics to swallow anything rather than acknowledge facts staring them in the face. Read In Sinu Jesu. While our apostate prelates set about implementing their agenda, Jesus has already laid the groundwork for the purification of His Church. Just as the disease started in the priesthood, the cure has already begun in the priesthood. Hunker down, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. We might not live to see the culmination of the renewal. Pray for your children. If they're young, consecrate them to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and pray that she will be a Mother to them at times when you can't protect them. Trust that your prayers will be answered even if the answer isn't evident to you. Listen to that Malachi Martin interview. This is a spiritual battle.
I had to warn off a married Romanian big issue beggar at the corner of our street for trying to groom my young daughter in her school uniform who wanted to go to 'discos' with her! Glad she told us after it had been going on a while. If one of my daughters is raped by a Nigerian taxi driver with no background checks, as they can't be done, I'll let her know we couldn't speak up for fear of 'playing right into the hands of the anti-all religions crowd."!!! This is sounding like the U.K. m.p. Naz Shah who 'liked' a fake tweet saying the Rotherham child grooming victims "should go away and shut up for the sake of diversity." We pray for the restoration of the Church, and it is a spiritual battle, but we shouldn't stand by and allow our country be destroyed - which is what is happening. Why should we? I pray with InSinu Jesu. But we are given the priests we deserve: they are the product partly of our society as well as the worst candidates being picked for seminary entry. Have you checked out Aquinas on immigration? However, we will never agree on the need to protect European countries from what has been inflicted on them. You're fine with it, I'm not. I am ultimately concerned with my children's eternal souls, but I am also concerned with their and my neighbours physical lives -as was Jesus. Justice dictates a local Mother with an autistic child cramped in a hostel or one bedroomed flat should not be put to the end of a very long queue for a house because people from Pakistan (no war) or Nigeria (no war) and everywhere else fancy a house here. What you are expecting me to do is pretend I don't see things and don't dare speak the truth in case it is twisted by others. That doesn't work. Truth is a moral imperative. You and Francis feel a duty of charity to strangers regardless of the effect on the host inhabitants, I feel a duty of charity and protection to my children, neighbours and fellow countrymen.
We don’t need buildings, treasures, or ornaments.....all we need are faithful priest to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The trappings are worthless if they are not for the Glory of God. Keep the faith, pray, hope and don’t worry.....God’s got this.....remember....He wins! Period.
https://gloria.tv/article/zxBvRLWxPGGt3QMMGsyLYeVQL Burke Discloses Why Francis Persecutes Young Religious Communities It is "no coincidence" that Francis is targeting flourishing religious communities that have many vocations, Cardinal Raymond Burke told LaNuovaBq.it (September 24). Burke explains, “Those who are promoting a ‘new Church’ do not want vocations, they discourage them in order to justify their own position which attacks celibacy.” These people want "new models of ministry" instead of the Catholic priesthood. Burke calls this a "Protestant approach." He reminds that the [bankrupt] German bishops openly declare that their goal is "to revolutionise the whole Church.” Picture: Raymond Burke, © Joseph Shaw, CC BY-NC-SA, #newsBarscqzfaa
http://lasalettejourney.blogspot.com/2019/09/francis-fulfilling-prophecy-of-mother.html?m=1 Francis: Fulfilling the prophecy of Mother Anne of Jesus... Our Lady told Mother Anne of Jesus (at Quito, Ecuador) that, "..the Church will go through a dark night for lack of a Prelate and Father to watch over it with love, gentleness, strength and prudence, and numbers of priests will lose the spirit of God, thus placing their souls in great danger...Satan will take control of this earth through the fault of faithless men who, like a black cloud, will darken the clear sky of the republic consecrated to the Most Sacred Heart of my divine Son. This republic, having allowed entry to all the vices, will have to undergo all sorts of chastisements: plagues, famine, war, apostasy, and the loss of souls without number.." The Church is now going through that dark night for lack of a Prelate and Father to watch over it with love. Rather than love, a False Shepherd and Prophet offers only hatred and vitriolic rhetoric, accusing the faithful remnant of espousing an "ecumenism of hatred." Another prophecy fulfilled in our own time.
US Christians, 'Full of hate?' https://www-lifesitenews-com.cdn.am...christians-are-engaged-in-ecumenism-of-hatred Pope Francis endorses claim that US Christians are engaged in ‘ecumenism of hatred’ ATICAN CITY, September 26, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) ― In an address to Jesuits in Mozambique, Pope Francis recommended an infamous 2017 article that characterized the cooperation between U.S. Catholic and Evangelical social conservatives as an “ecumenism of hatred.” In the same address, the Pope criticized a woman who professed joy that two young people had converted to Catholicism. And he suggested young priests who wear cassocks are expressing a form of “rigid clericalism” that conceals “moral problems.” The Pope’s September 5 speech was published today, September 26, in La Civiltà Cattolica by Antonio Spadaro, SJ, one of the two co-authors of the 2017 article. Responding to a question about Protestant sects that recommend their faith to Africans as a way to become rich, Francis said: … We must distinguish carefully between the different groups who are identified as ‘Protestants.’ There are many with whom we can work very well, and who care about serious, open and positive ecumenism. But there are others who only try to proselytize and use a theological vision of prosperity .... Two important articles in Civiltà Cattolica have been published in this regard. I recommend them to you. They were written by Father Spadaro and the Argentinean Presbyterian pastor, Marcelo Figueroa. The first article spoke of the “ecumenism of hatred.” This article, “Evangelical Fundamentalism and Catholic Integralism in the USA: A surprising Ecumenism”, first appeared in July 2017. It argues that American conservatives, including many Catholics, have been influenced by Protestant fundamentalism, and that Catholic and Evangelical voters who work together on social issues like the right to life and traditional marriage have transformed ecumenism into “an ecumenism of hatred.” Spadaro and Figueroa wrote: Appealing to the values of fundamentalism, a strange form of surprising ecumenism is developing between Evangelical fundamentalists and Catholic Integralists brought together by the same desire for religious influence in the political sphere. Some who profess themselves to be Catholic express themselves in ways that until recently were unknown in their tradition and using tones much closer to Evangelicals. They are defined as value voters as far as attracting electoral mass support is concerned. There is a well-defined world of ecumenical convergence between sectors that are paradoxically competitors when it comes to confessional belonging. This meeting over shared objectives happens around such themes as abortion, same-sex marriage, religious education in schools and other matters generally considered moral or tied to values. Both Evangelical and Catholic Integralists condemn traditional ecumenism and yet promote an ecumenism of conflict that unites them in the nostalgic dream of a theocratic type of state. However, the most dangerous prospect for this strange ecumenism is attributable to its xenophobic and Islamophobic vision that wants walls and purifying deportations. The word “ecumenism” transforms into a paradox, into an “ecumenism of hate.” Intolerance is a celestial mark of purism. Reductionism is the exegetical methodology. Ultra-literalism is its hermeneutical key. American conservatives who noted that articles published in Civiltà Cattolica are vetted by the Holy See worried that these thoughts reflected the mind of Pope Francis and condemned the authors’ ignorance of the United States. Phil Lawler of the Catholic Culture website called the essay “ignorant” and “intemperate.” “The authors of the essay claim to embrace ecumenism, but they have nothing but disdain for the coalition formed by Catholics and Evangelical Protestants in the United States,” Lawler wrote. “They scold American conservatives for seeing world events as a struggle of good against evil, yet they clearly convey the impression that they see American conservatism as an evil influence that must be defeated.” Rod Dreher of American Conservative magazine wrote that the essay “reads like deaf men criticizing a chamber music performance.” “They have very little idea what they’re talking about,” he continued. “Many American watchers of the Vatican know that Father Spadaro is very close to Francis, but many others — including me — did not know who Marcelo Figueroa, the co-author, is. Turns out he’s an Argentine Presbyterian and personal friend of Pope Francis hand-picked by the pontiff to launch an Argentine edition of the official Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano.” In his speech to the African Jesuits, Francis next condemned both the prosperity gospel and proselytism: The second (article in Civiltà Cattolica) was on the “theology of prosperity.” Reading them you will see that there are sects that cannot really be defined as Christian. They preach Christ, yes, but their message is not Christian. It has nothing to do with the preaching of a Lutheran or any other serious evangelical Christianity. These so-called “evangelicals” preach prosperity. They promise a Gospel that does not know poverty, but simply seeks to make proselytes. This is exactly what Jesus condemns in the Pharisees of his time. I’ve said it many times: proselytism is not Christian. The pontiff revealed that he was feeling bitter after meeting a woman who had introduced him to two young converts to Catholicism. One had been Hindu, the other Anglican. Francis said he had reproved the woman. Pope Francis also took aim at clericalism, which he felt was embodied by young priests who wear traditional clerical garb. “Clericalism has a direct consequence in rigidity,” he said. “Have you never seen young priests all stiff in black cassocks and hats in the shape of the planet Saturn (the saturno) on their heads? Behind all the rigid clericalism there are serious problems.” he continued. “I had to intervene recently in three dioceses with problems that expressed themselves in these forms of rigidity that concealed moral problems and imbalances.” The pontiff also said an “exclusive moral fixation on the sixth commandment” (God’s prohibition against adultery, fornication and other sexual sins) was another dimension of clericalism. “We focus on sex and then we do not give weight to social injustice, slander, gossip and lies,” he said. “The Church today needs a profound conversion in this area.”
Although Michael Matt is in Rome at the moment and says we should not be easy going about loosing places like St Peter's and Vatican City to the Children of Satan. ...but really I don't think there's a fat lot we can do about it at this stage. Those demons in Scarlet and Purple are in there now and they're not leaving anytime soon.
Just to clarify: this "Mother Anne of Jesus" is the same "Mother Mariana of Jesus of Quito, Ecuador" (Our Lady of Good Success) Her predictions were made in the 16th century and pertain mainly to our time. Here´s a small sample: THE SANCTUARY LAMPS EXTINGUISED One of the most striking of the prophetic visions occurred on the Feast of the Purification, February 2, 1634, the 40th anniversary of the first appearance of Our Lady of Good Success to Mother Mariana. Mother Mariana was praying in the upper choir loft before the Blessed Sacrament, the Sanctuary lamp went out. Mother Mariana was left in complete darkness. The extinguishing of the Sanctuary Light signified the dire straits the Church would be in during this future epoch. Our Lady of Good Success was quite clear on what would be the demise of the Catholic Church—the general theme—a lax and perverse clergy. Certain members of the Catholic clergy would become as thieves stealing that Tabernacle light…thieves that would steal what is rightfully ours by virtue of our baptism in the Catholic Church—our Faith. They would rob us of Doctrine, Dogma and Tradition—ransacking the Church as it were leaving us in total darkness without even as much as the light of the Sanctuary Lamp (which signifies the presence of the Holy Eucharist-- -Jesus Christ, Himself). Our Lady of Good Success went into great detail to explain what the five reasons were for the extinguishing of the light. THE FIVE REASONS FOR THE LAMPS GOING OUT THE FIRST REASON why the lamp was snuffed out was that at the end of the 19th Century and during the 20th Century, heresies would prevail not only in Ecuador but universally. “As these heresies spread and dominate, the precious light of Faith will be extinguished in souls by the almost total corruption of customs.” THE SECOND REASON was that in these times the Conceptionist Community would shrink and would even be infected with bad attitudes and false charity as a result of the pervading situation of the Church at the time. Many vocations would be lost as a direct result. (This was to be considered a reflection of a more universal condition during these times). However, “The faithful souls would suffer a continuous and slow martyrdom, weeping in secret and imploring that such dire times be shortened.” THE THIRD REASON the lamp failed was due to the fact that during this century, a worldwide campaign against the virtues of chastity and purity would succeed in ruining the youth. Our Lady of Good Success affirmed, “There will be almost no virgin souls in the world”. THE FOURTH REASON the lamp was put out was to demonstrate how the MASONIC and other secret sects would have so much influence on society and even the Church. “During these unfortunate times,” she foretold, “evil will invade childhood innocence. In this way, vocations to the priesthood will be lost, resulting in a true calamity” Our Lady of Good Success could foresee that there would still be some good, faithful religious that would be willing to suffer all for the salvation of souls and sustenance of the Holy Catholic Church. “The secular clergy will leave much to be desired because priests will become careless in their sacred duties. Lacking the divine compass, they will stray from the road traced by God for the priestly ministry, and they will become attached to wealth and riches, which they will unduly strive to attain. How the Church will suffer during this dark night! Lacking a prelate and a father to guide them …many priests will lose their spirit, placing their souls in great danger.” The poor priestly souls that would be left to uphold the Church would suffer greatly. “Against them the impious will rage a cruel war, overwhelming them with vituperations, calumnies and vexations in order to stop them from fulfilling their ministry. But they, like firm columns, will remain unswerving and will confront everything with a spirit of humility and sacrifice with which they will be vested, by virtue of the infinite merits of my most Holy Son, Who will love them in the innermost fibers of His Most Holy and Tender Heart”. Our Lady of Good Success implored that the people of this time should “clamor insistently” to the Heavenly Father for an end to ‘these ominous times’ sending to the Church a prelate and father who would “restore the spirit to the priests”. THE FIFTH REASON the lamp went out was due to those who have the financial means to help the Church but do nothing. Due to their uncaring attitude toward God and His Church, they would have allowed evil to seemingly triumph. "A thousand times cursed be the heretics and their followers who place in doubt these mysteries concerning Me and My Mother. Let them be cursed! And let their eternal abode be the center of the earth, together with the father of the lie, Lucifer, and his henchmen, amidst the fire created by Divine Ire for the rebellious angels and the men who follow them, severing themselves from the truth and putting themselves outside the Catholic Church.” Due to the extreme wickedness that Mother Mariana saw in these visions of our era, she fainted and remained unconscious for two days. The doctor, unable to revive her, expected her death to be at hand. But Mother Mariana miraculously awoke and returned to health to live another year. This short video gives additional info on her:
