For awhile I've been praying for a Latin Mass Parish to be set up in my diocese, specifically one dedicated to Our Lady. Over a week ago, I discovered this: https://www.icckelowna.ca my brother goes to University in Kelowna, and we'll be dropping him off there at the beginning of September. I'll be attending mass at this parish on the first Sunday of September. However, since I don't have a car, and there are very few bus services to Kelowna, attending the Latin Mass parish there more often is going to be really difficult. I was hoping to attend mass at The Immaculate Conception Parish at the very least once a month, but the bus services just don't work. Can everyone here please pray that I'll be able to have more access to this parish, and/or the Latin Mass continue to spread in my diocese?
Yes, I will pray. You can pray for my pastor to offer the TLM in our parish, as well. I would be very happy even if it was once in awhile. I’m staying with my family in our parish.
I'm back from my trip to Kelowna, I really enjoyed the mass there. The Church was very beautiful, there were stain glass windows depicting the life of the Blessed Mother as well as the Seven Sacraments, that were very nicely done. I've got to say though, after mass was over, some people started to rearrange the priest's and altar servers' chairs away from the ad orientum set-up, and put candles back on the Novus Ordo table-altar. It certainly showed an interesting contrast between ad orientum, and the Novus Ordo style. Anyways, I'll keep praying for the spreading of the Tridentine Mass.
I will pray for and I must also pray that there are more moves towards a Latin mass in my own dioceses.
