Hi friends. My prayers for luke but tomorrow 6 am i get my back operated on. I know its nothing compared to mac but i just ask that u keep me in your prayers. Thank you!!!
Please excuse the uninvited return but I thought you would like to be kept up to date about Mac/Luke. As of this morning Mac is still here but only just. I sent the following to Padraig last night but am unsure if it arrived. “Hi Padraig Just got this from Luke’s wife, Josie ““Luke is very unwell now. He can't read, eat or talk much. He only has a few sips of water here and there, but he can still manage to walk from the bed to the chair... doctor said he may not last the night. Fr. has been to say prayers for the dying and blessings and he will come again in the night with holy viaticum if necessary. God bless, Josie”” He managed to type “Goodnight” to me a few moments ago. I will keep you informed and will try to get to his funeral. I will carry all his friends from MoG with me. “ Luke and I have become good friends. He told me he had terminal cancer within hours of his diagnosis and we have been in touch every day since. I have visited him twice in this time. I have rarely witnessed such a well prepared and courageous death. I feel so privileged. May he have an easy passing, freed at last from pain. A few days ago he told me he was suffering considerably but would be worried if he was not. A truly Catholic death.
Joe, thank you so much for the update! Please let us know when you get any more information. I am very sad for his family but the way he has handled this is beautiful and amazing.
Thanks for the update, Joe. You’ve been a great friend to Luke, and I appreciate the news. Sure wish I could join you there.
Thank you Joe for stopping in and letting us know! I just prayed a chaplet of Mercy for Luke and will be praying a rosary for him and his family shortly. Luke has been a courageous model of faith for us all!
Thank you Joe, Give Luke and his family our love. May God continue to strengthen him. Amen. ps; I wish you could stay
Thank you for the update, Joe. We’ve all been watching and waiting, with more prayers on the way. Agnes Rose, prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Let us know how you are doing. May this solve your problem.
May Christ Who was crucified for your sake free you from excruciating pain. May Christ Who died for you free you from the death that never ends. May Christ the Son of the living God, set you in the ever green loveliness of His Paradise, and may He, the true Shepherd recognize you as one of His own. May you see your Redeemer face to face and standing in His presence forever, may you see with joyful eyes Truth revealed in all its fullness. Amen.
Agnes..that’s a very big deal! Be so happy to offer prayers for you! Hope you have a successful surgery!
Uninvited or not, I'm happy to see you here, Joe. Thank you for the news. And thank you for taking our hearts with you.
