Yes I have read this article many times. But there is a lot more evidence than what is stated in this article. Fr. Malachi Martin said that Cardinal Siri was elected on at least 2 if not 3 conclaves. This site is a good start if you wanted to dig deeper into the Cardinal Siri thesis. I happen to admire Cardinal Siri whether this is true or not. I named my 3 month old daughter, Siri, after him.
I just changed that. Pope Pius XII. Where do you think I could get info on the documents during his pontificate? What did Cardinal Siri, himself say?
I have a great love for Fr. Gobbi and the MMP. In the book there is a message which I think says it all. It is #147 and states: ..."Darkness will descend upon the Church and will become even more dense after your heavenly Mother has come to get the soul of the first of her beloved sons, Pope Paul VI, who is consumating on the cross his supreme sacrifice. As long as he lives, thanks to his grievous martyrdom, I can still hold back the arm of God's justice. But after his death, all will come crashing down. The Church will be, as it were , submerged in error which will be embraced and propagated, and thus apostasy, which already long since has been spreading like an oil stain, will reach its peak. The pastors and the flock entrusted to them will be struck; for a short while, the Lord will permit that the Church will be as though abandoned by Him. The darkness will grow deeper over the world, which will reach the extremes of its perversion. The more perverted it becomes the more obstinately it will advance along the roads of rebellion against God, of idolatry, of blasphemy and of impiety. Does this site have any moderation at all? MR Malachi Martin was laicised in the 60's and made a good living writing books about his 'insider' knowledge of the Jesuit order and the Vatican which by the end of his writing career was decades out of date (instead of spending his days saying Mass and hearing confessions - what does his career choice say about him?). Fr Gobbi was probably sincere but predicted that ALL the things foretold by the visionaries of various well known apparitions would be completed within 10 years from 1978, they aren't which makes ALL his predictions and interpretations suspect at least.

No he was not laicised. There are several critics who accuse him of improprieties in scandalous books that are slanderous of a great and holy man. All one has to do is listen to the numerous interviews that Art Bell did on his radio show. Fr. Malachi was THE MOST sought after and popular speaker hands down that he ever had on his show. Art Bell was the #1 most popular talk show host in the world. He was not only a mystic but a very educated man and he loved the Church and defended it. All one has to do is read 'The Keys of this Blood' to know that. I know people who went to him for spiritual direction and attended his Masses and confession. When Fr. Gobbi died Fr. Gobbi died in Milan, Italy at 3:00 PM (local Italian time) on June 29, 2011, the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul. He had been hospitalized since June 19 after suffering a heart attack. All of the national and regional directors of the MMP were gathered for their annual spiritual exercises at the Shrine of Merciful Love in Collevalenza, Italy from June 26 – July 2. Fr. Gobbi’s body was taken from Milan to Collevalenza on June 30, where a Mass was presided by Cardinal Ivan Dias. That same day, his remains were returned to Dongo, Como, Italy (his birthplace) where the funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 2, the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I hadn't heard about Malachi Martin or Fr Gobbi until recently read about him through these forums. I didn't like what I read. That is why I have created the True Prophecies/False Prophecies thread to see it we can sort them out. So we are not the ones that 'follow the false prophet'.

Scripture scholars depend on a technique called "exegesis" which insists on interpreting what the scripture says on its own first rather than forming an opinion first and looking for scriptural support like people who want to justify slavery and look for scripture passages to support their view. I fear that many people who believe the Siri Thesis believe that Vatican II and the elimination of the Latin Mass are the root of all evil and therefore accept this thesis because it fits their world view and no because of any preponderance of evidence. I have no earthly idea whether Pius XII or John Paul I were poisoned and am unwilling to make a decision one way or another based on internet research. But if the Siri Thesis is true, it raises several questions: 1- Are all popes starting with Paul VI then anti-popes? 2- If anti-popes, why not cave to popular opinion on birth control, abortion, etc...? 3- Are Padre Pio who corresponded with Paul VI, Fulton Sheen who was friends with John XXIII, and Mother Teresa of Calcutta who was fond of John Paul II not blessed/saints? 4 - If those mentioned in question 3 are saints but just misled, am I not still in good standing with God because I am loyal to Pope Benedict and the magesterium? 5 - Should I not trust the Gospel where Jesus says the gates of hell will never prevail against the Church. Is Jesus not who He says He was? Should I find my own Malachi Martin, Fr Corapi, or other to interpret the signs of the times for me instead of the magisterium?
Daniel, I myself had the exact same questions as you stated. But the more I look into this, the more I am convinced that something indeed happened. Our Lady & some saints prophesied about the Church in eclipse, a counterfeit church, and a time when the Church would be without a pope. I love the Catholic Faith with all my soul & would never leave Her bcuz I know the gates will never prevail against the Church. I am a Catholic convert & if you have ever talked to anyone who converted to the Catholic faith then you will understand that they did many hours of research trying to find the TRUTH & it lead them to the Catholic faith. We converts understand the Faith & are in awe because of what we have found. My life long cry to my Lord has always been to know the Truth no matter what because I knew the TRUTH would set me free & Our Lord is TRUTH. I did not want to bring up this topic on Cardinal Siri but because many people on this webpage seem to be very sincere & were looking for answers, so am I, so I brought it up on Fr. Malachi Martin's thread. I pray that I am not evil for loving the Traditional pre-Vatican Latin mass more than the current mass. When I came to the Catholic faith I was on fire for Our Lord but no one in my small town seemed to be excited about our faith. So I found comfort in reading many books on the lives of our saints. Parde Pio was my favorite & I looked to him as my spiritual father & I try to put into practice what he would tell his spiritual children to do. The Women Clothed with the Sun, a book about Marian apparitions that I had read a few years back, is where Our Sweet Blessed Mother had captured my heart. When doubt tries to creep into my head & almost convince me that maybe the Catholic Church isn't the Church, I suddenly remember My Sweet Mother & the Catholic Church is the only faith that holds her in her rightful postion as Queen of Heaven & a true refugee for sinners, & I pull myself together & focus on Her. This is why I am here on the Mother of God forums.
I have read this Siri theory many times and it us the argument of ulra right wing elements to attack popes since then. I think Jesus promised to be with his church until the end and I rely and stand on that promise. Even if something went on I am sure heaven has compensated and we have had holy Popes especially the more recent ones. Its O.K. to discuss as a theory but it can be disturbing to the faith of some and I dont think it is helpful. Our lady constantly requests us to pray and support our priests and most importantly our Holy Father. These theorys are best avoided. Lets move forward in prayer and faith in the promises given by Jesus. He can raise his church above everything and He will certainly care for his remnant. God bless Mary
Vade, I think the topic is interesting and worthy of mature discussion as you have brought forth. I believe we are all converts in a sense since even cradle-Catholics reach an adult conversion even if they never left the Church or had a re-version. after leaving. I think there is some merit to evil or Masonic forces infiltrating the Church and everything that happens behind the scenes at the Vatican is not above board. I think Pope Leo's vision in the 1800's regarding the satanic attack on the Church in the 20th Century points to the true war going on. Without insider information or divine revelation who really knows for sure. The thesis itself may have some merits but the questions that follow just become too hard to follow that as Padraig's mother has said "everything becomes stupid." I just default back to a safe position of loyal to the Pope, loyal to the magesterium unless/until they counter the Gospel or Catholic dogma. As the Jesuits told the faithful when they were expelled from Japan, you can tell the true Church by 1. Obedience to the Pope 2. Belief in the True Presence in the Eucharist 3. Devotion to Mary. The Latin Mass is wonderful and awe inspiring. Unfortunately there are some who contradict the magesterium and say the Novos Ordo Mass is invalid.
I am sorry I was away so long . This argument should not have been promulgated on a Faithful Catholic website. In answer to the question, 'Is the Pope a Catholic?' . The answer of course is yes, of course he is a Catholic and of course he is the true Pope. Anything esle is Anaethema. Not only a good man but a very saintly and wise one who sits on Peter's Throne as his sucessor. How dreadful to suggest anything else! My goodness. This, 'Siri thesis', is heresy and grossly disloyal to the Holy Father. Please do not continue to promulgate it on this forum. Of course the Pope is Pope
