TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1961: THE VIRGIN OF MOUNT CARMEL, QUESTIONED . . . REPLIES ! Canon Julio Porro Cardenoso became a convinced witness of the divine authenticity of the phenomena occurring at San Sebastian de Garabandal. He was to write later several books about them. In the afternoon of his arrival, Don Valentin asked Dr. Porro to draw up some ten questions to be submitted to the Blessed Virgin through the visionaries, during their evening ecstasy. Mari-Loli took charge of this mission. Our Lady's answers are a "first" . . 1. By what sins does the Blessed Virgin feel most offended? - The mortal ones. 2. What is the Blessed Virgin urging the Spaniards to do above all to amend themselves? - That they go to confession and receive Communion. 3. What sacrifices is she asking from Spain? - That "we may be good" (totally virtuous). 4. What are the sins of young people that hurt and offend her most? - No answer. 5. What sins of the parents offend her the most? - When they quarrel. 6. What social sin wounds the Heart of Jesus the most? - No answer. 7. Is the impact of the Message greater for Spain or for the whole world? - No answer. 8. What nation fulfills the commandment of Jesus Christ the best? - Spain. 9. What nation can be presented as a model to the faithful? - No answer. 10. Is the Message for the whole world or for Spain? - For the whole world. 11. Why do these things (i.e. the apparitions) occur at night? - No answer: the face of the Vision became clouded over with sadness . . ." (Excerpted from 'Garabandal' Book, page 101) The #11 question was answered at a later date. Why the late hour visitations ? When the children were asked why the Virgin came at such late hours, they answered that the Virgin told them that it was at that time most of the sins of the world were committed and that they should do penance... And for them it was a penance, and not the smallest, to stay up until the Virgin came to visit them, late in the night, or very early in the morning. They performed this penance because the Virgin wanted it and also because they wanted to see her again. From memoirs of Spanish Priest pg 51
SEPTEMBER 9, 1962: "THE POPE AND PADRE PIO WILL SEE THE MIRACLE" . . . Conchita explained Our Lady's remarks to Dr. Celestino Ortiz: "This Miracle will be a very great one. The Pope, wherever we may want him to be, will see it. And Padre Pio as well." The odd turn of the visionary's statement concerning the location from which the Sovereign Pontiff will see the Miracle, leads us to suppose that he will not be at the Vatican for the great event. (Conchita's own repeated opinion). As to Blessed Padre Pio seeing (in advance) the Miracle . Did the Blessed Mother ever say anything about the Holy Father having to leave Rome at the time of the Warning? A. No, but what it looked like to me — maybe at this time I was confusing in my mind what I was seeing and what the Blessed Mother was saying to me because it's been so many years — but what it looked like to me was that the Pope couldn't be in Rome either, you know what I mean, out in the open. He was being persecuted, too, and had to hide just like everybody else.

MARI LOLI: Our Lady spoke several times about communism. I don't remember how many times, but she said that a time would come when it would seem that communism had mastered or engulfed the whole world. I think it was then that she told us that priests would have difficulty saying Mass, and talking about God and divine things.
Sadly with this and worse to come-Communism emanating from Russia as well per Our Blessed Mother AND the current sex scandal in the US and all over the world which will eventually lead to resignations , defrockments and arrests , leading to “the church appearing to disappear,” we are surely at the precipice of the horrible times as Prophesied At Garabandal leading up to & culminating with the Warning. SEPTEMBER 12, 1961: KING BAUDOIN AGAIN AT SAN SEBASTIAN DE GARABANDAL The Belgian sovereign had already visited San Sebastian de Garabandal several times. Taking advantage of holidays he was spending in Spain with his wife of Spanish origin, Queen Fabiola, he returned to this village on September 12, 1961. He thus attended the ecstasies of that day and even found himself "bound" to one of the visionaries in a particular way. One of them made a step backward and stepped on his foot, to the point of keeping him rooted to the spot! At the funeral Mass for King Baudoin (d. July 31, 1993), Cardinal Daneels (Malines - Brussels) dwelt at length on the "secret" of the deceased man. Under the cover of the monarch's public activities (the process of his possible beatification was even mentioned), flowed a calm and hidden spring: his life in God, to the rhythm of prayer and penance with a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin, whom he venerated very particularly as "Our Lady of Mount Carmel," and to the Eucharist. "The day will come when the Sovereign's 'secret' will be revealed, and the world will then be in amazement," explained Cardinal Daneels. In the night of September 12 to 13, then Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, the girls, in ecstasy, recited the whole fifteen mysteries of the rosary . . . Conchita’s Locution with Jesus regarding Heaven ( July 20, 1963 ) Conchita- Will I go to heaven? And He answered me: Jesus - You should love much and pray to Our Hearts. C- When will You give me a Cross? J- What will I be? [This is another of Conchita’s worries—her destiny. That is,to discern the designs God has for her life. For awhile now, she has been questioning whether she has a religious vocation, and she frequently asks the apparition about it, but—according to her own words—the Virgin has never responded in the affirmative. In the same way, during this locution Our Lord keeps his silence when asked the question “What will I be?” Conchita has always received confirmation of her suffering and of the cross, wherever she is.] He didn’t answer me. He only told me that everywhere that I would be, I would have much to suffer. I said to Him: C- Am I going to die soon? J- You have to stay on earth to help the world. [This seems to be a clear announcement of a “concrete” vocation; it is a call to live in the world and not in a convent]. And I said to Him: C- I am very small. I couldn’t help in anything. J- With your prayers and sufferings, you will help the world. C- When does one go to heaven? When one dies? [This question seems rather childish. Conchita’s lack of education makes some of her questions seem simple, as though they don’t correspond to her age. In contrast, the response is profoundly astonishing.] J- One never dies. SYNOD UPDATE . Pope Francis announced today the will be an " Extraordinary Synod from February 21-24, 2019 in Rome. Entitled " Protection of Minors". There are already 2 more Synods planned in Rome, one in October of this year for " Young People,the Faith, and Vocational Discernment". THE NIGHT OF THE FIFTY ECSTASIES! From midnight to 4 A.M., Loli and Conchita had close to fifty ecstasies at Conchita's home. Taking advantage of a moment of intermission, Reverend Ramon de la Riva, handed Conchita his old camera equipped with bellows and suggested that she take a photo of the Blessed Virgin. The girl rather handed the camera to Mari-Loli, then in ecstasy; she, not knowing anything about operating this camera, nevertheless went through the five steps needed to take a picture. The photos were failures . . . The Blessed Virgin explained through the intermediary Mari-Loli to the good pastor of Barro, that "even if these photos had been better, he would not in any way have believed more than he already did." Two other attempts, also by Mari-Loli, to "photograph" the Virgin of Mount Carmel (on March 12, 1962 and January 1, 1963) apparently did not come out any better. WHY DID CONCHITA MOVE TO AMERICA ? There was no chance of her having a realistic life there in the village. Everyday she had people telling her what to do, and it would be impossible for her to go outside or even do her chores because of the countless visitors wanting to see her, talk to her, question her, touch her ( as if she had powers to heal ),that is why her mother sent her away to a boarding school at 17 to another town for her education . Later at age 23 she came to America. A famous Spanish/American Radio personality and Physician in NY, Dr. Dominguez, knew her from his visits to Garabandal, offered to bring her over, and provide housing and a vocation in his medical practice. Here is Conchita in her own words : " " I remember my village caused me to suffer. I felt as if I was imprisoned. I acted by the commands of others who constantly advised me " Go to mass, Pray the rosary, Do this, Give up that ". At times I thought I would be happy in a hermitage away from everyone, and to work there alone for God and see what I was capable of doing without their forever telling me." 11-25-66. TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY : SEPTEMBER 15, 1961: The "film of sinners" unfolds before the eyes of Mari-Cruz and Conchita! THE "FILM OF SINNERS" In the two Messages of Garabandal, the prediction of the Chastisement that will strike the entire human race, if the latter persists in its immoral behavior, strongly expresses what Msgr. Beitia Aldazabal, the principle titular bishop of Santander at the time of the apparitions and locutions, called "the doctrine of God offended by our sins." This expression occurs eight hundred times in the Bible. In the Old Covenant, it is already associated with the holiness of God. Horror of sin was instilled in the girls from the beginning of the apparitions by a Marian catechesis sustained and, at times, even highlighted with very painful ecstasies bearing on the iniquity of the world and the ordeals it would create. While awaiting original complementary documents, we set this terrifying vision, during which the Blessed Virgin showed the "film of sinners" to the visionaries, on September 15, Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. Then the terrified protestations of the children were heard: "No, no! , , , What horror! How hideous! Take that away (from our sight) . . . Yes, sacrifices (for sinners)! . . ." MORNING OFFERING PRAYER Our Blessed Mother said in Garabandal on October 18th, 1961, "We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. " In 1945 Jesus told Lucia, the seer of Fatima, "The sacrifice and penance I now seek and require is the fulfillment of your state in life and the observance of my laws." Whatever your state in life may be you can sanctify all your daily actions if upon arising you recite sincerely the morning offering prayer. Through the "Morning Offering of Reparation" every act you do becomes a sacrifice. The word "sacrifice" means to make "holy." Once you have made your morning offering you make "holy" every act you do throughout the day. Whatever trial God permits to pass your way during the day becomes a penance — whether it be work, bad weather, rebellious children, sickness in the family, tight economic conditions or misunderstandings by relatives or friends. All these sacrifices and penances obtain graces the Blessed Virgin needs for the conversion of sinners. Padre Pio said it best, "If you knew the value of suffering, you wouldn't give it up."
Wow. That’s incedible Glenn. I didn’t remember that. In my opinion, this “film of sinners” and “being shown the horror of sin,” even though it wasn't the girls sins being shown to them, reminds me a bit of what the Warning will be like. God showing us the HORROR of are own sins, the difference between those sins how God sees them, the gravity and consequences of them, the sins of omission, the Good we didn’t do, etc. The girls didn’t want to see it anymore. “No no. What horror. How hideous. Take that away.” How much greater the effect will be during the Warning for each of us when we experience that aforementioned revelation of our own sinfulness? Scary yet fascinating and needed for the whole world. May we go through it safely through the Grace of God!
I suppose communism comes in many different forms. It shows itself militarily, but also in many other ways. It does not take much to see it taking place today in how society it absorbed by gadgets/cell phones, Facebook, Twitter etc.... but these are merely instruments that have lulled most to sleep while communism is showing its face even in the USA through the godless left socialists, lukewarm Catholics and Protestants, anarchy all over the world and a total indifference to the things of God. Seems to me the only thing pending in the wake of all this is WW3 where a nuclear holocaust will take place. It is only God's hand, which holds this back for the time being, but it is coming.
Today in Garabandal History : September 16, 1962 The Blessed Virgin’s “ Fool “ A day to remember for its spiritual teaching. The ecstasy this Monday led Mari Loli and Conchita to Alfonso’s place, the one who was nicknamed, rather unkindly , “the Village’s fool “. Having made the sign of the cross over his pillow and offered him the crucifix to kiss, the two visionaries explained the reasons for their gestures. “ The Blessed Virgin told us , ‘ You hold him in contempt, but I love him’ “ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On one occasion, the Blessed Virgin gave a very pointed lesson on charity that would not be easily forgotten by those in the village. Father Valentin Marichalar, the pastor, made the following entry in his journal for September 16, 1962, a Sunday: There is a man in the village who is half crazy and does stupid things that could be very wrongly interpreted by the visitors who don't know his mental condition. He had been in an insane asylum for a year and now has decided to stay here. This is causing trouble and annoyance, and he will have to be sent away. During the ecstasy on this day, Loli and Conchita went to the house where this disturbed man, Alfonso, was staying and, with a crucifix, they made the sign of the cross there on the pillow of his bed. And while passing by him, they gave him the crucifix to kiss several times. The disturbed man froze on his knees. That night Father Anzizu commented: "What a lesson in charity the girls have given us."
