The anger against us is the light getting smaller and the darkness getting bigger. The light will never go out but as the darkness gets greater, horrible anger will happen (shootings, mass murders, people 'snapping' and doing awful things.) We MUST keep the light and make it as bright as possible. I fear for the Holy father going to the Middle East. I fear for his life. There is a prophesy that speaks of the Holy

Due to the long thread, could you repost your prophetic insight on the future of the US, please?

 

I'm not sure I'd put much stock in Alex Jones and his website. He is no friend of the Vatican/pope/Catholicism and goes off on some weird alien tangents although their is a grain of truth in some of his stories. There was a conspiracy-twist show called the "X-Files" where the shadowy government informant would remark "a lie is most easily believed when sandwiched between 2 truths". With Alex Jones I think it is one truth sandwiched between 2 bombastic claims meant to sell products based on emotion/fear. A lot of his "headlines" are not from reputable sources.

In any case, the current government seems only to need some sort of trigger mechanism to abolish the Bill of Rights and Constitution. I am not sure protesting to anyone but heaven at this point will make a difference because the government is rigged. Someone was describing the Beast of Revelation as Communism and the Harlot as America and her Constitution. The Beast despises the freedoms guaranteed by the constitution but puts up with them until their purposes are achieved. Once this occurs the beast will destroy America and her freedoms quickly. In any case, we are called to be good citizens even in the face of persecution

Keeping our mouths shut is normally not one of the sins we Americans are accused of. I am only suggesting that what is portrayed in the Alex Jones articles is not usually the full story. They are usually links to one-sided propaganda pieces that try to make heroes of some rather dubious characters.

Sadly we have had legal abortions in this country for close to 40 years. Every year several hundred thousand Pro-Life Americans march through Washington DC on a cold January day to protest while the media ignores it. Get 10 angry cross-dressers in New Orleans and the media is all over that. Please don't confuse lack of news coverage with lack of people speaking out against injustice. Americans in general have a greater urge for violence than silence and this is what frightens me more. I am more afraid of a Rwanda style massacre of neighbor versus neighbor happening first.

 

The trend in America [as in Europe] is towards totalitarianism hence that is why I quoted Niemoller and Bonhoeffer. And Padraigs' visions of civil type war in USA fits in with your observation that the gun is still a powerful force in American cultural life - but nonetheless we all need to waken to the reality that totalitarian government is a very real possibility for all of us in the western 'un'civilized world.

How much worse must things get before the secrets unfold?

Things are really dark, really, really dark!

 

And yet most do not even know it. I have been thinking alot about abortion recently and pray weekly in front of the abortion clinic, and I volunteer for my parish's and archdiocese's prolife committees. How utterly terrible abortion is and yet most poeple here do not even care. This includes so many Catholics.

I know most people here just want to be comfortably wealthy and at any cost. I am even guilty of this at times. We have a lot here in this country (USA) and yet we are not comfortable being simply provided with what we need but also every thing we want. We ignore the destruction of the most vulnerable of life (chidren in their mother's womb), we purchase items we cannot afford on our credit cards, and political correctness ensures that no one else infringes on another comfortable position. Politics here are almost like a game and people align themsleves with political parties and cheer on as one party entirely destroys the other party's candidates through lies, smears, and vicious attacks.

Sorry for the long rant but honestly if I were to mention this to a friend or neighbor they would not understand as they are too comfortable to see how corrupt our country has become, how we have fallen asleep. What a blessing it is to have a forum like this where I can share this with others who, too, see what is occurring.

 

This is really powerful stuff: - our Lady has a plan for the world and we are also part of the plan. This is a grave responsibility and worth praying over. God has given our Lady a special role in these end times to lead the people of God in the battle against satan.

Our Lady is forming her cohort, her army - small in number yet powerful the Legion of Mary - we on this forum are part of this cohort and Padraig's charism has been to utilize the internet to attract more and more people to love our Lady, Totus Tuus - to be personally consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Ark of Salvation for these times.

Can you expand on your post at all Padraig? The article states that the church will be tested during the secrets, and that some if it is happening now. In terms of what is going on in the US, I see the church being tested by the direction the Obama admin is taking on religious freedom. The HHS mandate on free contraception and morning after pills is just the first step, as I believe the goal is free abortion. The US bishops have been united and strong in standing up to the president. But because of the scandals, their moral authority is being challenged and will be a challenge.

If religious freedom in the US will continue to be at risk, to me this means that Obama will win re-election. I could be wrong, but I don't think that religious freedom would be at risk with Romney/Ryan winning. If Obama wins, I personally think it will be in some deceptive way. Either through voter fraud, or some big event happening that would delay an election or transfer of power. That big event would probably have to do with Iran/Israel or Syria. I know it all sounds like conspiracy theories, but I do think something big will happen before the November election.

I am in agreement with those that think that Paul Ryan could be the leader in the icons. I've been following him for a few years and trust him the most of any politician. I was disappointed when he did not run for president, but he is making a huge impact as VP candidate. Marco Rubio could also be that leader, but I'm betting on Paul Ryan.
