We must question all reporting, Jack, from wherever it comes and use our God-given reason to try and figure out where the truth lies. Most likely, it's somewhere in the middle. The people here are not your or my enemies. None of us really knows the whole truth. Neither am I anti-American. I think that if we didn't care about America we wouldn't bother trying to sift through all the propaganda. That's the thing about America, it means a lot to so many people around the world because in the past it has been the standard bearer of freedom against totalitarianism as well as the go-to refuge for "the poor and huddled masses". Perhaps subconsciously we feel we have a stake in the US and, like anything or anyone we care about, we get frustrated when we perceive it to be going astray or making bad choices. I'm all for the Jews having their homeland. And I would absolutely support the world recognising Jerusalem as their capital. That God made a covenant with the Jewish people is indisputable, as the Israelis are fond of reminding those of us who believe in the one, true God. That they conveniently forget to mention that there were two parties to the covenant and one party hasn't exactly stuck to the terms is a matter between them and God. I don't believe, however, that they have the right to ride roughshod over others. I also have a problem with Christians, especially Catholics, who would have us believe that genocide against Christians or any other people would be acceptable to God because it's collatoral damage in the effort to help the Israelis. Some Christians act as though Israeli Prime Ministers, of whatever political hue, are a reincarnation of the prophet Moses when in truth they often are closer to Moses Hess, the atheist father of Zionism. His "From Rome to Jerusalem" is available online. Reading it was a real eye opener for me. I haven't a whole lot of sympathy for Palestinians who launch rockets into Israel from outside their homes. knowing full well that the Israeli response will be to destroy the homes and their occupants. Watching the result of those Israeli reprisals is heartbreaking, but I wonder at people who effectively place their own children in the firing line. My heart breaks for the children but not for the likes of Hamas. And I have absolutely no time for America's other erstwhile friend, the Muslim Brotherhood. Mostly, I sympathise with the Middle Eastern Christians. Not Putin's (or Russia's) biggest fan, I'm glad that he is giving some protection to the Syrian Christians, otherwise they would have been wiped out by US backed and armed "freedom fighters". This thread also has been an eye opener for me. We see a taste here of the excuses and rhetoric which will be used in our own countries when Christians of the Apostolic succession are being picked off piecemeal by some super-power or its allies. Perhaps not in our generation, but I wouldn't rule it out, Christians who put their faith in princes will gloss over the persecution supposedly because it's what God would want. If I'm not mistaken, there is a prophecy saying something along those lines.

Well, I don't mean to imply that you are personally a warmonger, but you certainly have linked to some articles that are pushing Neocon talking points for a war with Iran. You certainly engage in the diversionary tactic of "attacking the messenger" because your first response whenever presented with inconvenient, uncomfortable information is to take what I post and then spend time searching the internet for the source in order to try and discredit the source. You ended up going to a very questionable website thinking you had uncovered my true identity in order to come back here and then discredit the substance of what I wrote. You did it a second time when I cited an article by Philp Giraldi by attacking the country of origin of the website (as if that matters) and by implying that Mr. Giraldi is an anti-Semite (which he is not). Crewdog also engages in a similar tactic by calling anyone who criticizes Israel an anti-Semite. This is a tactic known as hitting below the belt.

I definitely don't agree that I hit below the belt, is that what you are saying? I want to be certain that I am not misinterpreting your post. You can't be under the impression that you can post anything at all and that everyone here will agree with your point of view and not question the source of your information but yet you wouldn't apply these same standards to anyone else on the forum.
