The Vatican Has Fallen

My only point is, I believe Pope Benedict to be a very holy man and a very holy pope who did his best to steer the Church in the right direction. I still believe as the book God Speaks Will You Listen www.godspeakswillyoulisten.org message states that he still has a mission to complete. The following is this message, I believe, is still pending fulfillment: 10/17/07 Pope Benedict XVI is the manchild elected through the power of the Holy Spirit to rule with a rod of iron. My son, the Pope is my instrument being used to purify my church. His recent proclamations and decisions are setting my church on the narrow road to heaven. Once his mission is accomplished, he will be taken home to be with his Lord and Master. I am only speculating, but he could be the "bishop in white" of the Fatima prophecy who will be martyred fulfilling his mission on earth.

In the portion of the Third Secret revealed by the Vatican in the year 2000, there is a vision of the Holy Father passing “through a big city half in ruins”, who is then “killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions”. Earlier in the same vision, Sister Lucy also reports seeing one she identified as “a Bishop dressed in white”. Interestingly, she did not refer to the Bishop in white as the Holy Father, but only said “we had the impression that he was the Holy Father”.

You are juding the intention of the action to hide the letter, but we don’t know...somebody in the Vatican press office knows though.

Hey, I found some examples of ineptitude in the old Soviet Union.

Of course, no attempt to lie or deceive here either.

So, of the 20 Vaticanista or journalists who attended the press conference and knew the entire contents of the letter, was Sandro Magister the only one who gave an accurate account of the communication from Pope Benedict? Did the other 19 all run with the Vatican's fake news spin? If so, that makes Magister the only reliable reporter of news from the Vatican.

I don't expect any personnel changes in the Vatican's communications department as a result of this fiasco. For one thing, the Pope is unlikely to hear about it unless it is reported in the paper where his atheist friend works because that's the only newspaper he reads and those responsible are unlikely to 'fess up to the Pope lest they be the next victims of the axe of mercy. God love him, he has enough egg on his face so soon after warning the Catholic world against fake news, it would be sad to see the Monsignor lose that plum gig and be relegated to doing things he was ordained to do like slogging it out in a parish. After all, he was only trying to promote some books written to make Catholic sense out of what Pope Francis says. Something tells me that we're more likely to see Sandro Magister banned from the Vatican.

That the fiasco reflects badly on the Church and will be yet another stone for anti-Catholics to throw at us will soon be forgotten with the next Vatican public relations stunt. Or maybe we'll get an announcement that the Pope has been invited to Beijing to consecrate bishops in the forbidden city.

I suppose we could hope that this will result in some improvements in the Vatican, perhaps prompted by action from our Bishops, but I'm not holding my breath. We're more likely to get pastoral letters urging us to watch the soon to be released film about the Pope. That the producer is yet another German heretic shouldn't be a surprise to Catholics, German heretics being rather fashionable these days.

At least we should be spared endless promotion of the books because even the usual suspects won't want any reminders of what was little more than an attempt at a con job.

Upon reflection and prayer I have decided to delete Davidtig's membership of this forum.

    Why did I do this?

Well in the first place David posted on a letter from Pope Benedict which was altered in such a way to change it's content radically as a result of lying and cheating in the Vatican. Something acknowledged by the Press Corp and the Vatican themselves.

In a sense I do not blame David himself too much for this; it is very possible that David was taken in by this fraud. However after the fraud was exposed David once again published this fraud on the forum and continued to defend it long after it had been exposed.

A liar, cheat and fraudster is one thing. But someone who supports publically lying , fraud and cheating (even after it has been totally exposed) can only be viewed as themselves a liar a fraudster and a cheat. It shows quite considerable malignancy and bad intent.

    So gone he is.

Please be patient with me running the forum ; I do the best I can and these are very difficult times.

I ask you to join with me in praying for poor David's soul; I fear he is walking down a very dark road indeed.

These are such difficult times. I see there are starting to teach children how to recognise fake news stories at school. One thing I think is true be careful of stories that confirm your own bias.

But the Vatican putting out fake news...and doing it so very badly. Now that is a surprise.

Poor Pope Benedict. What must he be thinking and feeling? Many prayers.

Well isn't it interesting that I (came across this information now given where this thread is at this morning) thought to go to the Church Militant website looking for the foundation of that site, went to the bottom, clicked on FAQ...see the link below. When you have time, feel free to review this article. Yes, our various pontiffs have displayed a range of holiness as well as humanity, this article serves as a great reminder. Stay true to the Magisterium, Christ and His Church, as did our Mother faithful to her Son. Even St. Peter was far from perfect.

Were not the first public words from Pope Francis' mouth to the crowd below, "Please pray for me as I will pray for you."? And he commenced with immediate prayer.

I am personly sorry that David is gone. I often scratched my head at some of his comments but continue to believe he was motivated by a great love for the church and the Holy Mother. I however submit to your decision and pray that it will work out for the greatest good. Maybe you might receive a gentle tap on the shoulder to allow his return?
Undeniably there is a great cloud that has descended upon the world. Three days until the 18th March my own heart yearns for the intervention of the Queen of Peace. Dearest Mother triumph and reign in the hearts of your poor little ones!
Tonight at the end of another late shift I am sitting in Brisbane remembering my first visit to Medjugorje. On the little hill Of apparitions believing soon everything will change. That was 1987! How much has happened in the years that have flown by. Pope Jp11 - Benidict XVl - Francis. I often sit in awe before God and tell him I don't understand. I ask why... I pray it can't be... but in the end I find myself engulfed in his great love for me. To each one who encounters these comments from all over the world I would like to say. Believe the good news repent the lord our God loves you. As the most holy Mother said if you knew how much I love you - you would weep for joy.

Queen of Peace pray for us.

Vatican Admits to Photo-Shopping Letter of Benedict’s Praise for Francis

The Vatican has come under heavy fire after admitting to doctoring a photograph of a letter from Emeritus Pope Benedict commenting on a recently published a series of books on the theology of Pope Francis.

The photo-shopped image blurs the final two lines of the first page of the letter, where Benedict begins to say that he actually never read the texts in question and doesn’t intend to do so.

    .......

The doctored picture of the letter was released by the Vatican’s communications office on Monday, just prior to the fifth anniversary of the election of Pope Francis, and read by many as Benedict’s stamp of approval of the Francis pontificate to counter those who would propose that Francis has ushered in a more radical “paradigm shift” in the Church.

Progressives, such as Jesuit Father Antonio Spadaro, were quick to interpret the letter an indictment by Benedict of conservatives who have been critical of Francis.

    .....
The news of the Vatican’s manipulation of the photograph, which the Associated Press (AP) said “violated photojournalist industry standards,” comes less than two months after Pope Francis railed against “fake news” in his annual message for the World Day of Communications.

In the message, which was released in late January, the pontiff said that humans have a “capacity to twist the truth,” while declaring that he wished to contribute to “stemming the spread of fake news and to rediscovering the dignity of journalism and the personal responsibility of journalists to communicate the truth.”

.......Even a “slight distortion of the truth can have dangerous effects,” Francis said.

According to AP, a Vatican spokesman admitted Wednesday that someone at Holy See had blurred the lines but offered no explanation as to why.

The missing content “significantly altered the meaning of the quotes the Vatican chose to highlight,” AP said, because they “suggested that Benedict had read the volume, agreed with it and given it his full endorsement and assessment.”

Pope Francis has compared fake news to excrement, while condemning it as a “very grave sin.”

If Church Militant were correct then this from Scripture would not have been right:

St Paul defies St Peter (the first Pope) to his face and corrected him for wrongdoing in no uncertain terms.

    Galatians 2:11

    Paul Confronts Cephas
10They only asked us to be mindful of the poor, the very thing I was eager to do. 11When Cephas came to Antioch, however, I opposed him to his face, because he stood to be condemned. 12For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself, for fear of those in the circumcision group.…

As to the quote from St Catherine of Sienna ; Catherine had a very famous, 'vision', of the Virgin Mary in which Our Lady was supposed to have told her in no uncertain terms that she was NOT the Immaculate Conception.

We can listen to the saints with respect , but they are not the inerrant Word of God as scripture is.

By the way one other Saint who stood up to a Pope who was in error was St Athanasius who stood up to the wobbly Pope Liberius. Michael Voris is in simplistic error here. We are not required to put up and shut up. Not in the least

  15. Current circumstances might influence one to think that that "bishop (rather than named pope) dressed in white" could turn out to be Francis while that "pope who would suffer much and be forced to flee" might be Benedict. Just sayin'!

I think this is the thought of many Catholics right now even if they will not admit it publicly - or even to themselves.

St Peter was not at the foot of the Cross. Only The Blessed Mother and St John and Mary Magdalene. No Pope in sight. As the Church continues her passion we can't go wrong holding fast to Our Mother.
