I would say from marches I have been on that there was at least a 100.000 people there

Thanks for the youtube link Padraig, you always link to interesting videos.

I woke up this morning thinking about the parade and the abortion referendum. The deliberate misrepresentation of this in the media and on social media is nothing short of diabolical. Traditional, conservative, basic values are under serious attack. I went to Mass last night where the priest mechanically read out the bishop's statement on abortion, adding nothing to it himself though it was the ideal opportunity to shepherd his flock on this serious matter, and, indeed he cut out the first reading (the readings are long this Sunday) for fear he might delay the people too long. When the convenience of the people comes before God's Word then you know you have a serious problem. The insidious attack on the Church which has wound its way, silently, serpent-like through its ranks, enfeebling the clergy, the sanctified ones whom we are lost without, is the greatest danger of all. I was struck last night by God's intense love and mercy for us during these trials. There are great graces to be gathered but we need to pray, pray, pray and do much penance for our Church, our clergy and our society. This is the time, do it!!

Hi Padraig, it was great to meet you and your brother and Scolaire Bocht! I felt it was a work of God that out of 100,000 souls He should arrange it that all four of us would have been within a few feet of each other, and all at the same time!! The last time we had all met together like that was in Lough Derg!! Remember Padraig!:D

I agree SB that rte's response smacks of panic. The previous night they aired a film which rehashed all the abuses of the church and reminded people of past events including abortion. While this film was factual the timing of it struck me and reminded me of how stan often works. He sees a blessing coming in advance and will do his best to rob the recipient of it before they can receive it. Thankfully though with the huge turnout the blessing wasn't robbed. It was great also to see so many elderly people and some disabled on sticks, crutches and in wheelchairs doing the march.

A huge thank you to you Padraig and Fergal for taking the time and expense of making the long journey to march with Ireland on this extremely important issue.

    AidanK A great sinner

Now is time for the final push. We need to attend as many prolife events as possible and storm heaven on behalf of our dearly beloved unborn brethren. Always remember a baby in utero is a very special soul as it's such a short time since it left Gods side in heaven

I will continue to join you in prayer concerning the Referendum in May. A thought came to me that may sound a little strange at first. This Lent I have made a decision to be more proactive with my guardian angel. Since my angel can't actually read my thoughts, I am vocally speaking daily with him. Everyday, I am asking him to visit the guardian angel of a fence-sitter in Ireland, that the two angels can help that Catholic come to their senses, and vote in favor of the 8th!

Give credit to my son who is taking a course on angels at Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH. My son shares a lot. It was interesting that the professor contacted his future students over Christmas and asked them to pray and fast for him. He only teaches this course once every three years because the intensity of demonic attacks are so great during the time of the course!

    Spiritual warfare, indeed!

Let God arise and his enemies be scattered!

What a wonderful idea Mario. I attended a retreat by opus Angelorum some years ago and got some heavy spiritual opposition. This is a VERY powerful devotion. Your idea is wonderful truly.

Could you start a thread on angels and even share a couple of things with us that your son has learnt about them?

The young priest and hospital chaplain said the Tridentine Mass yesterday. He is very holy, he was converted from being a Protestant by a Eucharistic miracle. Anyway he was at the march and said something about it which gave me goosebumps. I mentioned to him about the media black out concerning it and he simply said,

    'Why what do expect?'

What did I expect indeed? But it scares me to think all this abortion stuff and so on is controlled. It has just sunk into me, this whole pagan stuff comes from those in control of the world. How scarey. It's as if we were all tiny insects being moved about. Pawns.

Abortion; the massacre of the innocents, is a million times worse than the Shoah.. The Nazis did the same kind of things. Killing the innocents. One reason why we never hear about the Nuremberg Trials of the Nazis anymore is that we executed the Nazis for what we are openly doing now in the West.

You’re right Padraig. It is utterly demonic and those in power/media and politicians etc for the most part fall in line through diabolical alignments or deals or through blackmail or threats. The stranglehold abortion has on the current culture is right from Baal worship dressed up as “choice”. So sinister it can barely be comprehended.

Forgive me for being cynical, but why is McAleese bringing this up now? My suspicion is that it is a deliberate and provoked attempt to stir up ill-feeling against the Catholic Church in the run up to the referendum. This woman has long had multiple prestigious qualifications in law and much experience to go with it. Why didn't she press charges using normal due process years ago? Now she wants a 'full independent inquiry' of the actions of a dead man. The arrogance and elitism is breath-taking, in her expectation of such special treatment for what allegedly happened to her brother, not to mention that she has already provided us with the verdict.

Agreed, it is well timed. Anything to discredit the Church including Tuam, etc. I even heard the sad case of Ann Lovett being mentioned. That's strictly not Church but it was used in the context of "oh look, way back when we were a Catholic society look what happened to young pregnant women".

They'll be throwing everything at us, but just remember why. It's because the Church is true and good, everything they are not. There is a great Ven. Fulton Sheen quote on this, I'll dig it out...

Yes, I am afraid it is totally Satanic. The devil does what the devil does, we should expect this, but when people join him? Now that's quite something.

There was a quite extraordinary interview on Irish National Radio with an Irish Senator, Catherine Noone , who is very much pro baby killer. She came right out with it, she admits that abortion is killing a child:

Noone : I think the Minister (for health) yesterday showed a modern attitude...

Interviewer: Can I ask you a question; what is modern about killing a child?

Noone: That's not a fair question.

    Interviewer: That's what abortion is.

Noone: I am not in favour of killing any child....

Interviewer: Do you no accept that abortion is the killing of a child?

Noone: Of course abortion means the termination of a child's life>

(The interviewer at this point appeared momentarily speechless)

Interviewer: And you're OK with this?

Noone: I am not OK with that.

Interviewer: Then why are you voting for it? And why are your colleagues voting for it?

Noone: That is not the right language to use.

That is something I would like to do, but all of my son's textbooks and material are back at college. Any attempt now would have too many gaps, I think. :(I will talk more with him this week and see if I can glean something useful. Once he is home in May I will do more for everyone.:D

    That is chilling.

The twisting of words is just something else. Also, the repeal symbol that you can see there is a sort of stylised love heart. When you think that abortion is stopping an innocent child's heart, that the only love involved is an intense and sinful self-love, that symbol is utterly perverse.

I never ever really realised before, I had a glimpse , but now I realise. Ireland, the USA, the whole wrold; we are just pawns, being used by a tiny group of evil people who control it all. They are the ones who want baby killing, Euthansaia, sexual perversion, drugs; they want it and so they have it.

In one sense this makes me feel a little better. It is not altogether Ireland's fault, after all we are only a tiny island; we are simply being used. It does not make us guiltless of course and we shall suffer the punishment of course and we fully deserve this; but on the other hand we are not altogether culpable, we were and are being simply being used.
