I would dearly like to believe in Mr Trump being a good man. I would also wish the same of Mr Putin. Mr Trump of course told us as to how he would like to be a friend of Russia. That makes sense of course in political dialogue. I mean to super powers on a world stage could surely not be a bad thing. China of course being a reclusive place not much thought was given them. Russia I think was somewhat driven in the direction of China despite it being a European sort of aspirant. I do believed Russia had a hope of being in our union at one time. Not that I would be a fan of where that union is heading of course, I think I prefer republican ideals. The true republic of course is not called a republic anymore, more like it is called a democracy. We here in my country also had the Arthur Griffith dream of a republic. How that turned out of course is similar as to how the American people no longer have a republic. On that thought as to how American industry was sent overseas for profit, not at all impossible to believe the managers of the American dream have for some years eyed China as their next hub. One only has to study the most popular reading material in china to see where that is going. China is not a first choice of partner to Russia. More like the potential enemy of my enemy being my friend I think. The Russian leadership is as usual trying to play the long game. For good reason they are afraid of encroachment on their border with China. Perhaps Mr Putin would assist wholesale emigration to the Americay's to save the bulge on his border. China it could be said is also playing a long game. Difference being of course is they have been given the choice of eminent domain. Thank you Hillary for that of course as it is a bug-bear of Mr Trump now. Mr Trump does really have quite a lot on his hands at the moment. We could wish those mythical white hat people will salvage all of this. Reading some of those white hat's as of late though I think Mr Trump is atween a rock and a hard place. I bear no malice to any of the above mentioned of course. In fact I do often as Most Holy Mother to keep them within Her cloak. Fickle world really, we laud and hope for Mr Trump as he seems to be pro life. Try telling that to an Afghani woman, a Pakistani woman, nay, even the Yemeni woman as she holds her dead children in her arms. Pro life in my calendar of events means I do not sanction the killing of some child I do not have to bury. What of the Iraqi children who died by the thousand as sanctions, American exceptionalism delivered freedom as with so many countries in the ME as per the new American century. Life is a gift given to us by The Creator regardless of conception. There are no if's' and's, or but's as it is a given of the tenant's of our basic beliefs.............Thou shalt not kill.

I feel Padraig is right. It is difficult for us living here in Europe to fully understand American politics. That said, anybody - absolutely anybody, would have been a better choice than Hilary Clinton. I don' know if she fits the biblical anti-christ description or not, but she certainly fits my description of what it might be. And again, the fact that the media dislike him - and they seem to intensely dislike him over here, gives hope...
I listened to one of the fathers on Sensus Fidelium yesterday. He spoke of mother Teresa. And recounted how she gave a speech at a white house dinner thingy. She spoke of the evil of abortion. I went to a retreat given by Michael Brown of Spirit Daily two years ago and he related a story about how as a young reporter he called the governor's mansion in Arkansas when Bill Clinton was in office and ended up speaking with Hillary who was only the first lady of the state back then.
