  1. Another "tidbit" of the plague genre in our world's news today!

‘Eye-bleeding fever’ outbreak CONFIRMED: Fears of PANDEMIC as disease hits SECOND country

HEALTH bosses have confirmed they are facing an outbreak of the “eye-bleeding fever” after four people died of the suspected disease in weeks.

VHF causes victims to suffer a burning fever before beginning to bleed from orifices including their eyes, anuses and mouths.

It comes after a girl, nine, was reportedly killed by the infection Uganda, and three people died in neighbouring South Sudan of similar symptoms.

Uganda health minster Sarah Opendi confirmed emergency response teams are now being deployed to the districts of Nakaseke and Luweero.

She also identified the mystery disease, saying tests have revealed the infection is Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF).

    ......
Experts from the World Health Organisation (WHO) have already said they were monitoring for an outbreak after reports in South Sudan.

CCHF is spread to humans via tick bites or contact with raw meat and infected animal blood immediately after slaughter.

    The Mass Brainwashing of Germany

I don´t see an assumed Islamization of Europe as the big threat in near future. It will take few more years until it could become a problem.
The Chaos before the Warning will rather consist of further anti-Catholic laws, economic collaps, earthquakes, terror, (civil-) war.
Islamization may have to do with the Chastisement after the Warning.

Nevertheless, what I don´t get in my mind is, why progressive leftists support Islamic values so much. I mean normal citizens not political establishment.
It´s a contradiction to fight for woman´s rights, against anti-Semitism and against homophobia on the one hand and at the same time to fight for muslim lifestyle and trying to get as many muslims into the country as possible.
Probably the explanation is they are blinded by their ideology of destroying Christian culture, history and national identity.

Chancellor Merkel transformed her originally conservative moderate right party into a left one and leads the agenda of destroying nationality and identity. She really has made a lot of questionable decisions with unfavorable consequences for the whole EU. I can not believe that she does not know that.

I think the goal of their backers is not the destruction of german culture rather the destruction of Christian European culture in a whole. Satan at work.

One of the most Horrible SIGNS is one that I suspect that many here have never thought of as a SIGN. This SIGN has probably caused more anger, division, confusion and damage to The Church than any in history. This SIGN seems to be a perpetual motion machine of Evil. In motion for 20+ years (in public) with no end in sight!! A month does not go by without another awful revelation! $$$$ Billions paid out..... The donations of generations of parishioners!! ...... $$$$ not now available for Churches, Missions, Schools or Charity. Our clergy stigmatized and demoralized. The laity simmering in doubt and mistrust ..... and The Bigs @ Vatican & Diocese?? ..... Despite their protests to the contrary, it's still Cover-Ups, Pay-Offs and demonize the Whistle-Blowers/Victims.

CD, It is very, very sad. The following statement, "Since the implosion of the faith in Ireland due to the clerical sex-abuse crisis and rampant secularism, the Pope will effectively be traveling to a country that once led the world in missionary outreach but is now on the Church’s periphery." is from Edward Pentin.

I am not saying that I believe that Cardinal Pell is guilty or not but it is very sad that one of his main accusers has passed away before this cardinal's trial took place.

Turkey Notifies NATO Of Imminent Massive Invasion Of Syria To Fight Kurds

On January 15 and January 16, Turkish forces carried out multiple strikes on the positions of Kurdish militias in the area of Afrin

The Middle East has so much conflict potential, it´s crazy. Of course no accident that it is related to the region where our Savior Jesus lived.

Newest developments could have a lot of complicated consequences.

Turkey invades Syria to fight Kurds and follows own interests. Erdogan wants to take the region around Afrin in Syria.
But that also is one of the lately installed “de-escalation zones“ and is controlled and protected by Russia. They arm the Kurds there in North-East of Syria.

Also the US-side has relations with Kurds and arms them in East of Syria.

Erdogan has hired some jihadists (“Syrian rebels“) to support his military-operation.

I will focus on Turkey, things getting interesting.

    Steve79,

Sounds a little like Saint Paisios' prophecies involving Turkey could be starting, scary.

Just a few days a ago I read this, Turkey: Iran, Russia should adhere to Syria ceasefire ... As you have posted, now we have the following
Syria: Kurdish civilians fear threat of Turkey offensive .

    Keep praying!

The following headline caught my attention also, Syria's displacement crisis: 'We had to hide in caves'

Maybe the following is related to what Maria Espernaza prophesized, Venezuela: 'Several dead' in operation to capture Perez

US military: No 'support' for Kurdish YPG in Afrin
US-led coalition forces don't operate in Syria's Kurdish-controlled Afrin after Turkey vows attack, news report says. 1/17/18

    more on Turkey-Syria border
Syrian Kurdish fighters previously armed by the United States are no longer part of the battle against ISIL and the US-led coalition doesn't support them, a US military official said on Tuesday.

The comments were the first indication by American officials that US-led forces may not intervene if Turkey follows through with a promised cross-border military operation to wipe out the group known as YPG, which controls the Afrin region along Turkey's southern border.

The comments - reported by Turkey's Anadolu news agency - came after senior Turkish officials threatened an imminent attack against the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).

The US has viewed the YPG as the most effective fighting force against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) - and has provided weapons, training, and air support.

An estimated 8,000-10,000 YPG soldiers are operating in the Afrin region in Syria's Aleppo province, which borders Turkey's Hatay and Kilis areas.

YPG is considered a "terrorist group" by Turkey because of its ties to the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which has waged a decades-long armed conflict in Turkey, killing an estimated 40,000 people.

Pentagon spokesman Major Adrian Rankine-Galloway told Anadolu the US-led coalition wasn't involved with the YPG in the Afrin area.

WATCH: Syria - Kurdish civilians fear threat of Turkey offensive (2:09)

"We don't consider them as part of our 'Defeat ISIS' operations, which is what we are doing there and we do not support them. We are not involved with them at all," Rankine-Galloway told the news agency.

US-led coalition spokesman Colonel Ryan Dillon said its forces weren't active in Syria's Afrin area.

"We are not operating in Afrin. We are supporting our partners in defeating remaining ISIS pockets along the Middle Euphrates River Valley," Dillon was quoted as saying.

Al Jazeera asked the US-led coalition, formally known as Operation Inherent Resolve, if it would intervene on behalf of the YPG if Turkey targets Afrin.

"It would be inappropriate and irresponsible to speculate on hypothetical situations," the Public Affairs Office responded in an email.

"What we can tell you is that the international coalition is resolved to train, equip and support our SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) partners to attain the lasting defeat of ISIS."

    'Purge terrorism'

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed on Sunday "to purge terrorism from our southern borders", adding his military will attack the YPG in Afrin in the coming days.

Erdogan's comments followed the US-led coalition's announcement that it would train 30,000 fighters from the YPG-dominated SDF to act as a "border force" in northern Syria.

Like other Turkish officials in previous days, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim on Tuesday sternly denounced the plan.

"Is the duty of protecting NATO borders left to terror groups? We can protect our own borders," Yildirim was quoted as saying by Anadolu.

WATCH: Turkey to launch imminent Syria offensive against YPG (2:39)

He asked countries to choose between NATO responsibilities or collaboration with "marauders".

The US-led coalition said Turkey had nothing to fear from a border force in northern Syria.

"Security forces are internally oriented and do not pose any threat to our coalition partner and NATO member, Turkey. Furthermore, they do not pose any threat to any other country in the region," the Public Affairs Office told Al Jazeera.

"These internal forces are focused on preventing the flow of terrorists across borders, thus bringing more stability to the region."

Speaking at a high-level NATO meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, Turkey's armed forces chief, General Hulusi Akar, said his country will not allow YPG to receive assistance from any NATO nation.

"We cannot and will not allow support and arming of the YPG terror group under the name of an operational partner. We hope this mistake will be corrected in the shortest time," Akar said.

When asked for a response to the situation on the Syria-Turkey border, a NATO official told Al Jazeera in an email: "NATO is a member of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS and supports it with flights of AWACS surveillance aircraft and with training for Iraqi forces.

"Nevertheless, NATO does not have a presence on the ground in Syria."

Residents of southeast Michigan were left a bit shaken Tuesday night after a big bright flash lit up the sky and the ground beneath them shook.

    Carol,
    interesting articles you found.

As far as i know the area around Afrin is under control of Russia. So the US-led-coalition truly is not working there.
Like it is always possible some points can be interpreted differently. The conflict between Kurds and Turks would be a seperate subject.
Whether these Turkish activities can become significant, we will see.
Only because I´m waiting for the chaos, I´m waiting for the straw that broke the camel´s back (what a nice figure of speech; found it in dictonary, hoping i used it in the right way :) )

For me it's exciting to try to figure out Erdogan´s agenda. Sometimes I read on another forum where a person living on the Balkans gives some insights on Turkey´s/Erdogan´s activities, one wouldn´t find in home medias. There is no guarantee for the given informations to be correct, but I give them some credit. And it´s interesting how Erdogan works in the hidden.

Erdogan is a radical Islamist. He came to power with the aid of the US who knew what he was but thought they could control him. Nothing new there - it's a perennial mistake of the powers that be in the US. They brought Erdogan to power through the machinations of a wealthy Turkish faith leader who lives in Pennsylvania and has an Islamic movement (styled rather like the Jesuit order) running schools throughout the world. Graduates of the schools are intended to work their way up through the system in government, in business, in law enforcement, in the courts and in education. That's what they did in Turkey. Erdogan played along until he and Gulen had a disagreement which some say related to Palestine but nobody knows for sure. He went from being a penniless fringe politician to being a mega rich front man in national and international politics. Erdogan also couldn't have gained power without Kurdish support which he gained by working out some kind of deal with Kurdish leaders. The darling of the Western powers, he was touted as the face of moderate Islamic leadership.

What people in the West fail to realise is that the Kurdish freedom fighters portrayed in the West as tolerant Muslims are not always what they appear to be. It's more complicated than that. Some of those militant groups are radical Marxist types while the Kurds, mostly poor, marginalised minorities in different countries, can be among the most conservative of Muslims - the type of devout Muslims Erdogan appeals to.

To gain full control in Turkey, Erdogan needed to replace the Generals who were their only real opposition. They did that with what some claim was a trumped up charge of treason against the Generals. Erdogan couldn't have done that without the help of the Gulenists. With the Generals out of the way, Gulen was next. It took a while but he achieved that goal too. Turks are fiercely nationalistic - the type of nationalism that the globalists use when insulting their opponents in Western countries. Globalists are very adept at whipping up nationalist fervour when it suits them and denouncing it when it gets in their way. To them, patriotism means open borders in the West. In the East, it's Arab Spring type Islamist "freedom fighters" rising up against the yoke of despotic aggressors - replacing one type of despotism with another. They don't care about the flavour of despotism as long as they control the despot. Now that they have lost control of Erdogan and with him NATO's second largest standing army, they don't know what to do about Erdogan. Meanwhile, he grows richer, tightens his grip on power, and plays all sides against the middle in his aim to be the Islamic world's spokesman and possibly de facto Caliph. Neither he nor the people who brought him to power cares about how many lives are destroyed in the process.

    Steve79,

I think that I understand what you have stated, no one (I think including yourself) wants the straw to break the camels back but we do know from prophecy that it is going to happen. We don't know exactly when it will happen but things aren't looking good.

It is difficult to read what is truly going on with Turkey, Russia and Iran or for that matter with any other nation in the world. I do wonder if what we are seeing Turkey/Erdogan doing right now in Syria is more of a threat for the USA to accept the Iran deal and they are just using Col. Dillon's statements as an excuse to make this threat more acceptable. Erdogan is throwing a fit over the possibility of 30,000 BSF's to be trained in the future, but when exactly is this going to happen and where will these people truly be located, just Afrin, I don't think so but Afrin is where the Kurds are. Turkey doesn't seem to be targeting the other locations involved where Arabs would be involved. This is what one of the AlJazeera articles states,

The force would not be entirely new, drawing from existing recruitment and initial training programmes, said Ryan Dillon, spokesman for the US-led coalition, officially known as Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve.

"The coalition is working jointly with the [Syrian Democratic Forces] to establish and train the new Syrian Border Security Force (BSF)," Dillon told Turkey's state-run Anadolu news agency.

"Currently, there are approximately 230 individuals training in the BSF's inaugural class, with the goal of a final force size of approximately 30,000," he said.

Dillon said efforts were taken to ensure individuals served in areas close to their homes.

"Therefore, the ethnic composition of the force will be relative to the areas in which they serve.

"More Kurds will serve in the areas in northern Syria. More Arabs will serve in the areas along the Euphrates River Valley and along the border with Iraq to the south," Dillon said.

In addition, I wonder if Turkey/Erdogan's actions have something to do with the future pipeline,
    https://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2018/01/turkey-iraq-ankara-optimism-falters.html

None of this is easy to figure out, these leaders have their own agendas and they are always looking for a scapegoat when they feel the need to blow up something including people.

A gigantic asteroid which is larger than the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, will hurtle past our planet in around two weeks time.

The 2002 AJ129 asteroid has been classed a 'potentially hazardous' by Nasa and will fly past at speeds of 67,000mph (107,826kmh).

This makes it nearly 15 times faster than the world's quickest manned aircraft - the hypersonic North American X-15, which travelled at 4,520mph (7,300kmh).

The asteroid is around 0.7 miles (1.1km) wide - making it longer than the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which stands at 0.5 miles high (0.8km).

It is set to pass by our planet on the 4th February at a distance of around 2,615,128 miles (4,208,641km) away - which is relatively close in space terms.

For reference, the distance between the Earth and the moon is 238,855 miles (384,400 km).

    more on Turkey-Syria border
Syria threatened on Thursday to "destroy" any Turkish warplanes that fly into its territory as Ankara prepares to launch a cross-border military operation to wipe out Kurdish fighters it calls "terrorists".

Turkish officials have repeatedly vowed to attack the Syrian-Kurd militia known as the YPG at any moment in the Afrin region in northern Syria, near the border with Turkey.

The move comes after the United States announced this week it would train the YPG-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to be part of a 30,000-strong "border force" - a statement US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said on Thursday was "misportrayed".

Syria's government warned Turkey it would shoot down Turkish fighter jets and bombers that flew into its airspace.

"We warn that the Syrian Air Force is ready to destroy Turkish air targets in the skies of Syria," Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad was quoted as saying by the official SANA news agency.

"We warn the Turkish leaders that if they start fighting in the region of Afrin, it will be seen as an aggression by the Turkish army against the sovereignty of Syria."

Turkey increases military presence along border near Syria’s Afrin

Mekdad added a military incursion into Afrin would be "no picnic" for Turkey.

The YPG has been a favoured military force on the ground in Syria for the United States, which has trained, armed, and supplied the militia as it battled Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

The Kurdish militia now controls nearly 25 percent of Syrian territory.

    'Terror army'

In Afrin, residents took to the streets to protest Turkey's threats, according to photos published by the Kurdish news agency Hawar.

They waved flags of the YPG and also banners of Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned leader of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK. Turkey says the PKK and YPG work together.

Discussing military action in Afrin, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this week Turkey must "nip this terror army in the bud".

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told news channel CNN Turk on Thursday it must take action against the YPG.

"Turkey is subject to attacks every day from Afrin. It is our right to self-defence in line with international law to take measures against a terror group surrounding us on three sides," said Cavusoglu.

He added: "We have informed them [US] we will be intervening in Afrin and we will take action against the threats towards us wherever they come from on the eastern side of the Euphrates, in Manbij or elsewhere."
