Padraig, if you like the big crowd, you will find the Big Celebration will be moved to the nearest Sunday for 16th July each year. The Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel falls on a Sunday in 2017, so there will be a big crowd for that. I always go on the 16th July no matter what day if falls on, and as you say I am sometimes the only one there saying the Rosary when the Feast falls on a weekday. You do find small groups attending Holy Mass even in the week. Look at it this way, if there is only one pilgrim on the pilgrimage, there are no distractions between you and Blessed Mother. So, just Julia and an enormous number of souls brought under the mantle and protection of our dear Heavenly Mother. Praise God.

Just got back from Aylesford where we attended the Shrine of Our Lady and Saint Simon Stock for the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on 16th July 2017. Holy Mass, confession, group Rosary, and the joy of requesting the Holy Mass enrolments. Praise God. Have arranged for Padraig and the Mother of God forum family to be remembered each day of the year once again. So from July 2017 to July 2018; God willing all who sign up for Padraig's forum and their families should be under the protection of Our Dear Blessed Mother and her powerful intercession. I read a few years ago that one Holy Mass for the living has a value of a thousand Holy Masses for the departed, this is why I have such a devotion to requesting Holy Masses for the living. And send out as many Aylesford Mass Cards as we send greeting cards at Christmas time !!! O beautiful Flower of Carmel, most fruitful vine, Splendour of Heaven, holy and singular, who brought forth the Son of God, still ever remaining a pure Virgin, assist us in our necessity. O Star of the Sea, help and protect us ! Show us that thou art our Mother ! Amen.

Julia, I was just thinking about you today. I figured that you were on pilgrimage and I was right. When I first came onto the forum, you were posting quite a bit and I always liked your posts. Still do. I am REALLY thankful for your thoughtfulness and holy charity to include us and our families in Masses and prayers.
