The one huge light in the Darkness in these past Darkness is our Christian Sisters and Brothers who have defended us against the Culture of Death. Holy women and men who dedicated themselves to protecting the unborn from the abortion mills which sought and still seek to murder the unborn babies in the sanctum of their mother womb. It has been one of the great signs of our times , but should come as no surprise to the Spiritually clear sighted that God has gifted these holy folk with the grace of clear sightedness to see through the swirling mists and confusion of the lies and half truths of the Judases that have crept into positions of great power in our Holy Mother Church. But what an abomination it is to find our fellow Catholics slander and attack those who , chosen by God have been annointed by him to defend firstly the unborn and now , in this the Great Crisis the Church has ever faced, to attack the very people , those new saints we should most closely support ; those who take a stand for Life and for Truth. In this they join the ranks of the Satanic enemies of the Faith like Planned Parenthood in attacking those whom the should most admire, emulate and pray for; these warriors for the unborn. Like these enemies, Planned Parenthood, they risk their very souls in supporting a huge lie. Is it not enough that Planned Parenthood attack these Holy People? Should we join them in their slanders? Would it not make us uneasy at joining our voices to theirs?

We can certainly have an opinion on which sin God views as 'worse' although I suspect He doesn't view things that way. I suspect God views all sin in a similar way. I know from your posts, garabandal, that you have a particular horror of active homosexuality and most on the forum will share that to some degree. But if we look at Jesus' life, the sin that he most often denounced in the strongest terms was hypocrisy. That sin, which of course the pharisees exhibited in large measure, is particularly dangerous because it is more easily hidden. An active homosexual may well eventually become disgusted with himself but the hypocrite thinks he is on the right path and his error, which is pride, is less easily recognized.
Sorry David -- I will tolerate no excuse for the sin of sodomy and those who promote the gay lifestyle. You do not seem to understand the implications of this 'activity' from the perspective of heaven and as I result I think you are misguided in your thinking. When you see fire falls from the sky (Akita) then you will understand the seriousness of this sin and the sin of abortion, the two sins which will result in Divine wrath. But perhaps you think Sodom and Gomorrah is a myth?
Here we go again. Please just read what I wrote, not what you think I wrote. I have made NO 'excuse' for active homosexuality. Scripture is clear on its seriousness. I was merely pointing why the sin of hypocrisy could be viewed as more dangerous.

ag again you deliberately avoid the true teaching in the CCC that mortal sin must have full consent and full knowledge. We live in an age that is pagan, and many of these people have no concept of sin.That just maybe their saving grace (in a sense). A well known italian priest going back decades used to say there are 8 sacraments, and the eight is greater than the others: ignorance! He had a point that has truth in it.

God did not wait for the founding of the Catholic Church to instill in men the horror of this sin, but he implanted in the human nature of all of us. That is why St. Paul in the famous passage on homosexuality in the first chapter of his Epistle to the Romans, verses 24 to 27, lambastes the Gentiles for practising this sin even though they had no revealed religion, and he does so in terms chosen to re-awaken that natural repugnance, e.g. verse 27: “And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error”. Homosexuality is a vice, or sinful habit, created by nothing other than a series of sinful acts, for each of which the individual was responsible. Homosexuality is a moral problem, which is why, fascinatingly, St. Paul in the same passage derives it from idolatry!
