I just inform you on this prophecy. I have known it many years, and tried to translate it from Russian into Finnish (in her biography I translated nearly 20 years ago)... but it's difficult to understand even for native speakers of the Russian language. And there is more about this disaster situation, but it's so cryptic that it's no use to tell. I translated all of it but could not comprehend. Anyway, year 2017 is very well known in Russian prophecy, on prophecy sites (but it was not mentioned in the biography, I heard of it later). http://rgdn.info/en/predskazanie_matrony_moskovskoy Predictions by Matrona of Moscow regarding the Second Coming of Christ This prediction has been discovered quite recently. Apparently it is saying: “In 2017 humanity will perish.” So, what will happen? The city of Yepifan… In a local monastery a nun Antonina Malakhova lives. They say Matrona called this nun her successor. It was exactly Antonina to whom Matrona communicated her last prophecy before passing away. Antonina’s voice: “When Matrona was dying (1952), she said: “Pray, because a bad time is approaching. Pray! The end is close. Pray! Be less engaged in earthly affairs and pray for saving your Soul.” Before her death Matrona also said: “You don’t know what is in store for you. Pray! There will be such sorrows ahead which you cannot even imagine.” “Everybody will die without a war. There will be numerous victims. Everybody will be lying dead on the ground. In the evening everyone will be on the ground, and in the morning they will rise. Everything will go into the ground,” Matrona said and supposedly named the date: 2017. What will happen in that year? What do these terrifying words signify? Could this be the Saint’s prediction of the Second Coming of Christ? According to observations of astronomers, on the 10th of February 2017 a huge comet will come close to the Earth. Even now scientists are unable to say what will be the distance between the two heavenly bodies, and what ravages will consequently take place. Did Matrona really mean a cosmic disaster? “Everybody will die without a war… Everybody will be lying dead on the ground.” However, these words are only a half of Matrona’s last prophecy… I did not know about that huge comet in February 2017. Somebody knows something?
That is an interesting interpretation, DeGaulle and The map would fit in large measure with the latest Blue vs Red voting pattern in the USA. Time will tell ... and soon .... I'm thinking! GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!

Comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova http://www.cometwatch.co.uk/45phonda-mrkos-pajdusakova/ Discovered in December of 1948 by Moniru Honda, this comet is named after Minoru Honda, Antonín Mrkos, and Ľudmila Pajdušáková. The short period comet is expected to reach closest approach in 2017 at a distance of 0.08au. It will brighten rapidly throughout November 2016 however will only be visible to southern sky observers. Northern observers may get a chance at the end of 2016 as perihelion approaches before it re-emerges in the Northern hemisphere in February. Imaged above on its last closest approach in 2011, this comet has had a few close encounters with Jupiter in the past making some noticeable changes to the comet’s orbit. Throughout January and February 2017 it is expected to reach magnitude 6 covering plenty of ground as it moves rapidly through Capricornus, Aquilla, Hercules, Corona Borealis, Bootes, Coma Berenices and Leo where it will remain throughout March. By this time it will have faded to around magnitude 10 unless anything unexpected happens. More info: http://theskylive.com/45p-info
Daria, Thank you for posting this, I don't think I have seen anything on MOG about this comet. The statement that I highlighted is very difficult to interpret to say the least. I wonder if she saw a vision of the Warning and thought that everyone died because she says in the morning they will rise? Someone on MOG posted about that in the beginning of the year (2017) all of humanity will be brought to their knees, but looking like your dead and kneeling are very different. And then, "Everything will go into the ground", maybe bunkers? Time will tell.
This alleged message does not fit into any consensus of prophecy that I have ever read. It does not fit into any scripture that I know of. It is of no value as far as I am concerned.
Two things make this comet very interesting, the first being that it was discovered in 1948 and the second is that it makes a close pass to the Earth in 2017. Maybe there is third, that it has been confirmed by scientists. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/45P/Honda–Mrkos–Pajdušáková Fatima put it more bluntly than I did about Matrona's predictions, but she would have had to have misinterpreted something.
2017 is when the action begins -- tribulations etc 2021 is when the secrets start. 1981-2021 --- Our Lady leads her children 40 years in the spiritual wilderness (Medjugorje). (My opinion)
Sorry to disturb you with Orthodox prophecy but Matrona Moskovskaja is a SAINT in all the Orthodox world. I think it means something - to be a saint. Perhaps she just described what had seen and could not analyze it. I'm ashtonished of this attitude towards an Orthodox saint. Different matter is this year 2017, she is only alleged to say so. Fatima's answer was so impolite that I could not believe my eyes. I've read about so MANY kind of seers and prophecies here and never seen answers like this. She is a saint, so some kind of respect should be addressed to her.
I did not know she was an Orthodox saint, so the fact that she is Orthodox had no bearing on her alleged prophetic statement, which I commented on. What I have said is not uncharitable, it is a fact and unless you can provide some scripture or other prophetic utterances to substantiate her prophecy “Everybody will die without a war. There will be numerous victims. Everybody will be lying dead on the ground. In the evening everyone will be on the ground, and in the morning they will rise. Everything will go into the ground,” my point stands. No offense intended.
As far I remember I have not seen here on forum scripture verses added to every prophecy published here. Or other proofs either. I have seen so much every kind of texts here (many levels of credibility) and this is not very different of those others (in my opinion anyway). This is CRYPTIC language, mystical language. What kind of facts can we have when talking about mystical experiences? This is not natural science. It's nice if there was no offense, but I would say: here are now seen different requirements of credibility than the other writers have. Saint Matrona gave in this text also spiritual warnings and teachings. That's why I was so amazed of that answer. Like she would have been some Baba Vanga who is absolutely unreliable. She has been talked about here: http://motheofgod.com/threads/2016-presidential-election-thread.8686/page-93#post-152703 (last post). Sorry Elisa, I mean no harm to you. This is only an example. At least I know difference between saint Matrona and Baba Vanga. I think this is already enough about this matter. I may add that saint Matrona is one of my closest saints and has helped me many times in my life. I know that she lives in Heaven and has helped countless people. That's why I had to "clean her reputation".
Apologies on behalf of the Catholics on the forum! It's been 50 years since Vatican II but Catholics are still struggling to accept the ecumenism that is taught so strongly in the Council documents. We still think we are superior... I have never heard of the prophecy you quote but am very interested because prophecy points to Russia leading the Christian world in the future. For me, the prophecy as quoted is most likely referring to the Warning. The words, Everybody will be lying dead on the ground. In the evening everyone will be on the ground, and in the morning they will rise are best interpreted by understanding that they are referring to the 'spiritually dead'. Before the Warning (now), almost everybody is spiritually dead. The Warning will, 'overnight', bring those dead souls to life. So I take this prophecy, especially from a Saint, very seriously.
I have never heard of the prophecy you quote but am very interested because prophecy points to Russia leading the Christian world in the future. For me, the prophecy as quoted is most likely referring to the Warning. Yes, I thought so, too. Perhaps I did not formulate my thoughts in the same terms as you but having read this prophecy first time about 20 years ago I'm now starting to think there is some connection with your Catholic prohecies about Warning (or other your prophetic concepts). I found this an interesting possibility to compare our prophetical views on next year. I was not prepared for such severity - especially because I've just seen much talk about Nostradamus ! He really isn't valuable in my eyes...
Or this could have been a vision of the very end, which may begin next year but her vision may actual be years away still. PS- We have moved past Notradamus fortunately.
I'm really looking forward for your mystical understanding! Matrona really spoke about the Warning by mystical way. I read once russian forums, that year 2017 was connected with this event later, or in other words, the deadline for this event is year 2017, thus it can come already before 2017.
Actually very interesting prophecy from St Matrona. She may be the reason the Russian Orthodox Patriarch took a trip to Antartica after his visit to Cuba. There is something going on in Antartica that has even John Kerry going to visit also this year. What do they see in the skies?
Thanks to everybody for your support! I think fruitful discussion is very important. As far as I understand we are only looking for the truth when talking about prophecy. Your Catholic prophetic consensus is surely very valuable to you but I just have a different perspective because I have read Protestant and Orthodox prophecy so many years, even decades - and now over three years Catholic prophecy. But the perfect synthesis I have not yet managed to do .
The great majority of Catholic prophesies we discuss here are 'private' ones. By definition they are not based on scripture. If they were scripture-based they would not be private and would be on a higher level altogether. One has Church-approved discretion to believe or not approved prophesies that are private. On the other hand, we must accept prophesies within scripture as part of our Faith. Please correct me if I'm in error as I have no wish to be so. Given that Catholicism shares so much with the Orthodox, I see no problem in considering prophesy from that source that does not directly contradict Catholic approved prophesy. This, is only my personal opinion, but I think just about everybody here is simply, as Daria says, 'looking for the truth'. For my own part, I can see strong echoes of the 'three days of darkness' prophesy in that attributed to St. Matrona. Is it not prophesied that those who are outdoors during the three days will die and is it not logical they will consequently be 'on the ground'? Of course, some of the prophesy is quite opaque, but that is not untypical of prophesies as we have only some of the data. May God help us all here in our efforts to discern the Truth.
The following thread is the one I was reminded of after reading Daria's post: http://motheofgod.com/threads/for-your-discernment.9745/#post-147717
