The only prophecy that I know of Russia is its destruction and annihilation of countries as per our Lady of Fatima and others.

After some days, the Prussians and Russians retreated and crossed to the left bank of the Rhine below Bonn. Constantly in retreat, what was left of the Prussians moved to Westphalia where the last battle went against them. People greatly rejoiced because they were freed from the Prussians. Then, a new Emperor, about forty years old, was elected in Germany, and he met the Pope. Meanwhile, epidemics broke out in the regions devastated by war and many people died. After the battle of Westphalia, the French returned to their country, and from then on there was peace between the French and the Germans. All exiles returned to their homes. When I begged God to take the terrible vision away, I heard a voice saying: ‘Prussia must be humiliated in such a manner that it will never again bring sorrow to the Church.’ In the following year, the Russians will war with the Turks, driving the latter out of Europe and taking Constantinople. The new German Emperor will mobilize for war, but the Germans will not go beyond their frontiers. When afterwards I was shown France and Germany, I shuddered at the losses that had taken place. Soon after the Russian-Turkish war, England also will be visited by war." There's also a Jewish prophecy from Rabbi Vilna Gaon (18th Century). And when you hear that the Russians have reached the city of Constantinople (today’s Istanbul), you should put on your Shabbat clothes and don’t take them off, because it means that the Messiah is about to come any minute.” Then there's one from a Greek Orthodox monk which seems to be very recent. He appears to have WW111 kicking off with Turkey attacking Greece. How close are we to this prophecy? This prophecy was given by a 90 yr. old woman in Norway 48 years ago about events leading up to the second coming of Christ. An Evangelist by the name of Emanuel Minos wrote this prophecy down in 1968 and thought it was so extreme that he put it away. He recently reviewed the prophecy and was amazed that it is not "extreme" anymore--but the norm in our society. Read the prophecy below. An old woman of 90 from Valdres in Norway had a vision from God in 1968. The evangelist Emanuel Minos had meetings (services) where she lived. He had the opportunity to meet her, and she told him what she had seen. He wrote it down, but thought it to be so unintelligible that he put it in a drawer. Now, almost 30 years later, he understands he has to share the vision with others. The woman from Valdres was a very alert, reliable, awake and credible Christian, with a good reputation among all who knew her. This is what she saw: "I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak of the Third World War. I saw the events with my natural eyes. I saw the world like a kind of a globe and saw Europe, land by land. I saw Scandinavia. I saw Norway. I saw certain things that would take place just before the return of Jesus, and just before the last calamity happens, a calamity the likes of which we have never before experienced. She mentioned four waves: 1. "First before Jesus comes and before the Third World War breaks out there will be a ‘détente’ like we have never had before. There will be peace between the super powers in the east and the west, and there will be a long peace. (Remember, that this was in 1968 when the cold war was at its highest. E. Minos) In this period of peace there will be disarmament in many countries, also in Norway and we are not prepared when it (the war) comes. The Third World War will begin in a way no one would have anticipated - and from an unexpected place. 2. "A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians, a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times, want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity (happiness) Christianity. "The important thing will be to have success, to be something; to have material things, things that God never promised us in this way. Churches and prayer houses will be emptier and emptier. Instead of the preaching we have been used to for generations -like, to take your cross up and follow Jesus, - entertainment, art and culture will invade the churches where there should have been gatherings for repentance and revival. This will increase markedly just before the return of Jesus. 3. "There will be a moral disintegration that old Norway has never experienced the likes of. People will live together like married without being married. (I do not believe the concept ‘co-habitor’? existed in 1968 - E. Minos.) Much uncleanness before marriage, and much infidelity in marriage will become the natural (the common), and it will be justified from every angle. It will even enter Christian circles and we pet it - even sin against nature. Just before Jesus return there will be TV- programs like we have never experienced. (TV had just arrived in Norway in 1968. E. Minos) "TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. There will not be only one ‘station’ on TV, it will be filled with ‘stations.’ (She did not know the word ‘channel’ which we use today. Therefore she called them stations. E. Minos.) TV will be just like the radio where we have many ‘stations,’ and it will be filled with violence. People will use it for entertainment. We will see terrible scenes of murder and destruction one of the other, and this will spread in society. Sex scenes will also be shown on the screen, the most intimate things that takes place in a marriage." (I protested and said, we have a paragraph that forbids this kind of thing. E. Minos.) There the old woman said: "It will happen, and you will see it. All we have had before will be broken down, and the most indecent things will pass before our eyes." 4. "People from poor countries will stream to Europe. (In 1968 there was no such thing as immigration. E. Minos.) They will also come to Scandinavia - and Norway. There will be so many of them that people will begin to dislike them and become hard with them. They will be treated like the Jews before the Second World War. Then the full measure of our sins will have been reached (I protested at the issue of immigration. I did not understand it at the time. E. Minos.) The tears streamed from the old woman’s eyes down her cheeks. "I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war." (She saw it in the vision.) COULD THIS BE WHAT NATAN'S NDE SAW? "All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to this one, and it will be ended with a nuclear atom bomb. The air will be so polluted that one cannot draw one’s breath. It will cover several continents, America, Japan, Australia and the wealthy nations. The water will be ruined (contaminated?). We can no longer till the soil. The result will be that only a remnant will remain. The remnant in the wealthy countries will try to flee to the poor countries, but they will be as hard on us as we were on them. "I am so glad that I will not see it, but when the time draws near, you must take courage and tell this. I have received it from God, and nothing of it goes against what the Bible tells. "The one who has his sin forgiven and has Jesus as Savior and Lord, is safe."

However you may want to take up your admonition about doom and gloom coming from Satan with her: "As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests."
Being a competitive athlete most of my life has taught me many valuable lessons. I would imagine those in the military will tell you the same thing and that is you train for competition and in doing so you know your competitor and you put into place contingencies that will help you defeat the odds with your best efforts. This training has helped me in my faith journey to a great extent. It has made me not underestimate what heaven has been telling us about the "doom and gloom". I have donned my scapular and put the weapon of choice to defeat the enemy and the odds in my hand (my rosary). Each to their own. Good luck to those who want to bury their head in the sand as if the beast is not waiting to devour your souls and God's justice, which he spoke extensively in scriptures and his saints, prophets and messengers have expressed in dire terms is not to be taken lightly. The timing of this battle is at hand and that is what 'doom and gloom', messages are telling those with ears to hear.

The TradCatKnight site basically had the same prophecy which you post from Brother Anthony of Aachen (19th century), so if this prophecy is true then several other battles will happen in Europe before Russia will war with the Turks (in the following year). To put it another way, unless those other battles happen within a month it is unlikely that the latter war would occur until 2018 or later. I read all of this on the TCK site and I thought that it doesn't seem likely that this will happen soon, but who knows.
I feel strongly that we will see these 'other battles' continue to unfold as we speak. We see things in Syria heating up daily. I do not see Obama going out of office quietly as he will show soon the chaos he has planned. It all unravels very quickly and like all wars, when they begin they will not end without significant repercussions.
When I read these visions by the 90 year old lady speaking about the 'return of Jesus', I feel she is speaking of the Warning, as she indicates that nuclear war comes after Jesus' return.

Ok, I have another one from Notradamus: Roman Pontiff beware of approaching, The city that two rivers arrouse, Your blood will come from the spitting, You and yours when the Rose will flourish. Maybe the Rose flourishing is referring to the WCWTS sign in the heavens? The site I found which has analyzed Notradamus' prophecies thinks that The Rose refers to the time of year in which roses flourish but I don't think so.

I read monk Joseph's predictions and I must say that I find Greek saint Paisios more reliable than this monk. I noticed some trends in his predictions which can be seen suspicious: elder Paisios said that Greece is not deeply involved with war, but here the same situation is described quite differently. There is also a lot of nationalism in this prophecy I would say. Then there is possibility that this monk knows Paisios -prophecies (of course) and make use of them. I just don't know...but I would not "buy" this prophecy. Our Church has declared elder Paisios a saint and this gives weight to his prophecies. It's quite dangerous to begin believe in this kind of predictions literally. There might be some truth in them but one must not take all the scenario literally. We people make mistakes in our interpretations, it's natural. In my opinion it's good to have some kind of big picture but for example why we have to know in which order some countries are going to be occupied? I live in Finland and my country can very well become battle ground or somehow occupied some day. Of course we have (Protestant) prophecies in Finnish about it, a lot of them. It's so sad to live here in the middle of the giants (NATO and Russia) and know that even a smallest mistake in our foreign policy can cost us our freedom, even independence. In spite of this situation I would prefer praying and trusting in God, only after that reading prophecies. Maybe God pardons our people and somehow protects us.... Mitigation maybe the right word. That Jewish prophecy is of course interesting....but which Messiah they are talking about? In Russian Orthodox prophecy there is a lot of "self-criticism". Prophets know and tell that there will be bad leaders in Russia (and bad desicions will be done) and then afterwards there will be very difficult situation with China: first China is Russia's ally, afterwards a cruel enemy and occupier (they proceed to the Ural mountains and take the Russian lands). Then Western countries help Russia because they are in danger, too. These are the main lines in Russian prophecy, and seers admit that after all this Russia's land area is going to shrink. But it's not the main point because religious aspects are very important in these prophecies: later even Chinese people accept Christianity and Russian people will experience a spiritual awakening in large numbers. If one wants to believe these predictions it means a lot of suffering for Russian people at first but in the end there is hope. Gold is refined, so to speak. Russian Orthodoxy is a very deep and devout form of Christianity - but there must become some kind of purification of materialism, hedonism and the pursuit of power in Russia. You must not see Russia and it's Orthodoxy only in it's present form: the country and it's religious life can be renewed and then Russia can give hope to others, too (you have Western prophecies of that kind of developments, I suppose). I write this at lenght because so many times I have thought: I just have to tell them a bit how we "on this side of the fence" experience situation in Europe and especially here next to Russia. We have to be realists here. We have no Atlantic Ocean between our country and Russia. It's wiser to seek peaceful solutions with our neighbour and not all the time just think: they are going to take us, they are going to take our independence. Russian leaders appreciate Finnish people at the moment but if we join the hate speech too much the situation may considerably worsen (our overall situation is clearly different from Baltic countries). So we just have to act reasonably - and if world's situation gets more dangerous we just have to pray God that He will have mercy on our country (as much as possible). I don't believe that Nato can protect us, nor do I think that USA is going to care of us a bit. EU is more danger to me than the support. In my opinion EU represents anti-Christian world view. Many of my compatriots are looking for a helper from EU - and they are going to be bitterly disappointed, I think. At the moment I still do not believe that Russia is going to begin war in Central Europe. There is a small chance but why on earth they would do it? They have a lot of land and natural resources so why would they take the burden of conflictual European countries and have more problems because of them? However I believe that Russia can protect itself by taking steps towards Nato borders (Norway, Baltic countries) if they feel threatened. I say this only once - and very well know that on this forum there are alot of people who think Russia is very thirsty for new areas in the European countries. To me it's much more credible that they would be interested in Constantinople. The bond between Orthodox countries (Greece, Russia, Serbia) is very strong and it can influence to foreign policy of Russia. Perhaps this was too much and is not clearly enough presented....but I tried.

Yes Nostradamus’ prophecies were condemned in 1781 by the Congregation of the Index of the Roman Catholic Church (Britannica 1986, 8:803). I would stay away from them. He is not a prophet in the Catholic sense of the word.
