I went to Fr. Corapi's site and read this, and decided to make a new thread just for him so we could keep up with the happenings. We need to pray hard, he is our biggest warrior in the battle against Satan these days. Oh, he would LOVE to knock him off the chess board! This woman has been overcome by him apparently. I simply cannot believe there is any truth to it. SO mighty Mother of God Forum prayer group...lets do our stuff! A Call for Prayer by Fr. Corapi, on his website "On Ash Wednesday I learned that a former employee sent a three-page letter to several bishops accusing me of everything from drug addiction to multiple sexual exploits with her and several other adult women. There seems to no longer be the need for a complaint to be deemed “credible” in order for Church authorities to pull the trigger on the Church’s procedure, which was in recent years crafted to respond to cases of the sexual abuse of minors. I am not accused of that, but it seems, once again, that they now don’t have to deem the complaint to be credible or not, and it is being applied broadly to respond to all complaints. I have been placed on "administrative leave" as the result of this. I’ll certainly cooperate with the process, but personally believe that it is seriously flawed, and is tantamount to treating the priest as guilty “just in case”, then through the process determining if he is innocent. The resultant damage to the accused is immediate, irreparable, and serious, especially for someone like myself, since I am so well known. I am not alone in this assessment, as multiple canon lawyers and civil and criminal attorneys have stated publicly that the procedure does grave damage to the accused from the outset, regardless of rhetoric denying this, and has little regard for any form of meaningful due process. All of the allegations in the complaint are false, and I ask you to pray for all concerned."

I will certainly be offering my rosary tonight for Fr Corapi. I believe he has been pulled off of EWTN, as there was something else on his normal 10pm show tonight. It is pretty upsetting. I hope he is proven innocent soon, as we need his powerful words in these times. It would be terrible for him to have to cancel his appearances, as I think he's got a lot of speaking engagements booked. As he eludes to on his web site, even after all this is cleared up, it will always be with him. As the saying goes...where do I go to get my reputation back?
Well, if anyone can do it, it would be him, he has already been to hell and back more than once. He has so many fans, I can't imagine this stopping him. He has to obey his "order's" orders first though. It certainly seems very rash to do all this before an investigation has begun. We need to pray for his accuser that she has a change of heart assuming the accusations are all false. Boy, we sure could use that warning now, that would make her retract it, I bet.
Poor man, but such is the path of the Saints, every one of them, lies, libel calumny. I have sympathy with Fr Corapi about the gulity till proved innocent thing. But the Bishops and Church authorities are scared witless now after al lthe scandals. I will pray for Fr Corapi but I wish I could meet him and give him a big hug!! I hope he recalls these things are the jewels of the saints, they all wore them; it is a compliment in a way being attacked like this.
I feel a distinct nudge to pray for Fr Corapi. Our mother is true to her word in her March 18th message when she says she will show us what we need to do, what she expects of her apostles! You know off hand I can't think of a single saint who happened to be a priest that didn't have terrible allegations made against them ; the same goes with Re iligious. I would take it as a compliment. Padre Pio is maybe the best example with him they just never stopped his whole life. It the same with Marian Apparition Sites such as Medugorje they seems hardly a minute goes by without something cropping up. There is so much to love about Father Crapi; I wouldn't be surprised if he is canonised someday. At the same time if allegations are made its fair enough that they are checked out. It only ordinary prudence and commonsense though it would be charitable if doing them as thoroughly as possible they did it as quickly as possible. These things make me happy to be a lay person for if someone said bad things about me who would care? :lol: :wink: In fact I'd probably go up in a lot of people's estimations. :lol: It must be so hard constantly being up on a pedestal like this, with folks constantly judging you and saying, 'He's a hypocrite, why doesn't he practise what he preaches?' They were the same with Jesus, always circling Him like Jackels looking for some weakness to use. Not seeking the truth but a stick to beat Him with. As Jesus said; Luke 23:31 For if men do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?" I have to say I LOVE Fr Corapi; I love the way he roars out the truth in that thunderous voice of his. Yes I must pray for priests more..and religious. What was it Jesus told St Peter about Satan? 'He will sift you like wheat!' Yes, poor priests they get sifted like wheat. Luke 22:31-32 "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."

I agree with all that has been said here about Fr. Corapi and will be praying the Novena as well... When I first heard this accusation I thought oh no... but then indeed when you think about it Fr. Corapi is in the way... his voice is powerful when he teaches the Faith and the enemy simply can't stand it... then I thought well who of all people is prepared to fight this spiritual battle better than Fr...? don't forget his "mama wears combat boots"! The ol enemy apparently doesn't really know what he's gotten himself into... A Novena of Rosaries for Fr. Corapi, our priests and our beloved Holy Father Pope Benedict...
That's the first thing I thought of " uh oh, his mama wears combat boots and she's not going to like this at all". I had a mass said for him at church and am encouraging others to do the same. You know if we just think back for a minute to our track record as prayer partners, we've certainly been heard by Our Lord. If we band together with equal and great intent, we can help to shred this deception, bring light into the darkest place and usher in justice and liberation for the captive. Giver of all Graces, hear our prayers.
Satan absolutely wants to stop those who keep the most souls from going to hell...and also seems to love to torment those who help the most souls in purgatory to get to heaven. Perhaps he thought that we would turn against Fr. Corapi if he were among the "accused". Like you said, forhimthroughher, the enemy doesn't know what he's gotten himself into. And it is such a cool thought, Mom's not gonna put up with this! I could see her marching straight up to "school" to demand that the principal take action against this bully right now!!! LEAVE my son alone! However, Mary hasn't put on her combat boots just yet, she is still trying to get us to solve things peacefully, amongst ourselves...BUT we do have a tough big brother, Michael! Fr.Corapi is no slouch, but even he can use a big brother against a mean bully once in a while! "St. Michael, our big brother, who isn't afraid of ANYBODY and is always ready to do battle for the Lord or for his Queen, help your brother Fr. Corapi, against the big bully Stan!
