I was reading by 'accident', a little of the Martydom of St Perpetua tonight. It comes in a book called 'Saints who fought the Devil' The devil tempted St Perpetue in prison through her poor father who was a pagan and asked her to renounce her Faith. Perpetua pointed at a jug and asked her father if a jug could ever be anything else? When the old guy of course said, 'No!' Perpatua answered, 'Well neither could I be anything else'. http://www.torchlighters.org/index.php/perpetua-confession/ I read something very sobering from St Faustina tonight, something she was told by Jeses Himself: Diary 926 In one instant the Lord gave me knowledge of the sins committed throughout the whole world during these days. I fainted from fright, and even though I know the depth of God's mercy, I was surprised that God allows humanity to exist. And the Lord gave me to know who it is that upholds the existence of mankind: it is the chosen souls. When the number of the chosen ones is complete, the world will cease to exist. But do not be afraid!! We have Chrrst's promise!! Luke 12:11 11"When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; 12for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say." Let us rely on God's Grace and Promise , rather than our own strength. The one will often fail the Trial, but God's Grace is the very pillar of heaven and will never fail. View attachment 4000
I think the combat rosaries that Fr. Rick sells on his site are super cool! https://romancatholicgear.com/combat-rosaries/combat-rosary-gun-metal.html And has anyone read Fr Rick's 54 Day Basic Training in Holiness? I have not, but am thinking about purchasing it. It is modeled after the 54 day Rosary novena. I may read it for Lent, but just start a few days early. Can't believe Lent starts Feb. 10th this year! https://romancatholicgear.com/books-and-manuals/54-day-basic-training-in-holiness-pre-order.html
I love my Combat rosary. I have had many rosaries over the course of my day's, but this is an amazing rosary and I have thought about purchasing for all my children. I don't have to worry about breaking this one and it is really neat looking.
D-DAY RECOVERY OF RELIC OF TRUE CROSS Fr Richard HeilmanMarch 29, 2016 Fr. Carlos Martins, verified that it was, indeed, an authentic relic of the True Cross. Now, get this … My brother-in-law, Joe, just allowed me to be the holder of this relic, until it is handed down to his son, once Joe has passed to eternal life. See the pic above. I plan to offer many opportunities for people to touch their religious articles to this relic, thus making their religious articles a third class relic of the True Cross of Jesus Christ! FR RICHARD HEILMAN
Here is a really interesting article by Fr. Heilman. It discusses a prophecy of St. John Bosco and a month with two full moons... https://www.romancatholicman.com/january-31-super-blue-blood-moon-st-john-boscos-dreamprophecy/
Isn’t this marvelous? I admire Fr Heilman. He has really put Rosary Crusades back on the map. Reminds me of Fr Peyton that way.
Pray4peace, Yes, it's wonderful another member started a thread about it, http://motheofgod.com/threads/more-from-fr-heilman-of-nineveh-90-for-life.11683/#post-199070 I am thinking of posting it on the Great Monarch/Holy Pope thread also and renew that thread a little bit. I have some additional thoughts about this that I have been working on today.
I I love mine too and a very Holy elderly priest I know Blessed it with an oldpreVII blessing that includes powerful protection against evil. I cherish it.
I agree that it's worth having. It is so durable. I'm glad that I don't have to worry about my rosary falling apart. And have you read about all the indulgences associated with the Pardon Crucifix? I only recall a few off the top of my head, but the list is impressive. I think I read that it's the most indulgenced sacramental.
