With all of the recent news about N Korea's missile testing.....apparently a medium range ballistic type fired just yesterday....it made me think of the Ukrainian Mystic, Josyp Terelya, and his visions of the future involving a world on fire....with much of it taking place at or near the Chinese/Russian border. I believe described millions displace just wandering in the region. If N Korea is attacked in attempts to stop their challenges millions could flee to China indeed. Since China doesn't seem to be countering N Korea at this time they just may not care about such humanity and simply obliterate that population if or when that may occur. About 8 years ago I was invovled in a discussion on a prepper web site re: nuclear-originated EMP. Some considerations: The device needs to be at least 40 kilometers (about 20 miles) high for EMP effects to be noticeable or effective. Any lower and the ionization of the atmosphere cancels out the "pulse" of the detonation. The detonation needed for such effects to be felt on the ground needs to be between 10kt (Hiroshima-class detonation) and 15kt (Nagasaki-class). Like all radiation, the EMP will suffer from the inverse-square law: as the pulse travels the strength of the pulse diminishes dramatically. The strength of the signal will decrease with the square of the distance. If you double the distance (x2, from 40km to 80km) the strength of the signal will decrease by one quarter (1/4). The area affected by the EMP is a cone from the point of detonation to the horizon. The higher the detonation the greater the area that is affected, but the higher the detonation the more powerful the detonation needs to be to achieve the same effect. It is possible to "tune" the detonation to maximize the power of the EMP. To use an engineering term, this is a non-trivial task, and one NK is unlikely to master any time soon. So it might be possible to launch a missile from a tramp steamer and take out a good portion of the electric grid in LA; but quite some time before NK can achieve a "One Second After" level event.
I think we must have more people that are possessed, oppressed, obsessed, etc. than we are willing to admit. I think our world is getting VERY dark and is/has returned back to the pagan. People do not seem to be behaving normally, IMO. Societal norms have all but been replaced by very dark behaviors. America is in trouble. I have said that for some years now and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I was in hopes that a change in leadership would stop the hemorrhaging but it doesn't appear to be doing that.
