Four freeze to death in Canada near U.S. border; smuggler role possible (msn.com)

"Smuggler role"? I think I heard an American has been charged as the smuggler. How horrible for these poor migrants.
Man charged with human smuggling after 4 bodies found in Manitoba near U.S. border - North Shore News (nsnews.com)

It doesn't matter where they were from, I do see the 2nd article indicates they are from India. What a terrible way to go. God have mercy.

    -----------------

To another subject, I don't in particularly dislike Macron, I'm not from over there. I think sometimes, he says the right thing but this is a terrible thing he wants to do here:

Macron wants to add abortion, climate protection to EU charter (timesofmalta.com)

Macron thinks of Europe as the "United States of Europe" and thinks it can make decisions for individual countries. Unfortunately many others think the same and I think this is dangerous.
When Poland banned abortion the EU, which means the EU decision are considered superior to the decisions made in Poland by its own people. This is scary...

On the other hand Macron has been saying everything and its contrary during the past months. He may be worried he's not going to be reelected (French presidential election is a couple months away) so he's making big speeches and promises to get a little attention.

As for EU charter, I don't know a lot about this but surely the countries should all agree in order to add something into it right?
There's no way the 27 countries unanimously agree to this, and the talks alone would take years

  5. I have had the United States Geological Survey Earthquake listing as my homepage for several years. I can not recall so many medium sized earthquakes that have been occurring everyday for the last several weeks in the whole time I have had this webpage as my homepage. The plates are on the move.

Our Lady has been saying that we will be affected on so many levels, Earthquakes and Volcanos leading to a great World Darkness. New plagues, wars...the seas being disturbed. Everything but the kitchen sink.

I am going to try really, really hard to get confession every week and find more time for deeper prayer. I feel such sympathy for those far from God with little or no prayer life or Faith. It will be very ,very hard on them. They will have more to worry about than what Gender they really are.

    Poor, poor people.

    Yes,

This frightens me more than anything. My family whom I love how will they cope?

That is why I have written a little book on the Rosary to be a source of comfort and hope.

I must get it finished and printed. I am fine tuning & proof reading which has slowed the whole thing down - I am nearly there.

Didn't the German courts decide relatively recently that their own, or perhaps their Central Bank, superseded that of the EU in financial matters? I have a vague memory of it, but others here might remember better.

The EU isn't nearly as united as some like to think. With COVID, it was very much 'every man for himself'. Once the energy crisis really begins to bite, the same will happen.

My musical hero, Bob Dylan, wrote in a song ('Things Have Changed') just over twenty years ago that 'All the Truth in the World adds up to one Big Lie'. It seems to have been written with a view to these times.

We're in the middle of a 'pandemic' whose man-made origins our establishment continues to try and deny, while they insist on the human causes of our climate crisis, which might well be a consequence of increased seismic activity, something entirely out of human control. Ultimately, it's all hubris, as the Greeks termed it. Or in Biblical terms, it's all down to Pride. A Pride exponentially magnified in our Tower of Babel.

I see because of the volcano in Tonga global temps are expected to fall by .5 degrees over the next five years (Because of sulphide particles being ejected into the Stratosphere). So much for Global Warming

Now the experts say the earth's core is cooling faster than expected. Yep, so much for global warming.

Maybe governments should reverse tracks and encourage more carbon emissions to warm things up a bit. Heh heh.

Global warming does not instill fear as much as the Virus, maybe they'll not need it anymore. Pope Francis instills more fear in me than any of them.

I imagine a knock at the door and Pope Francis , Cardinal Cupich and Tobin wanting to come in for a chat.

    I'd run.
