Read today's readings about Saul who became St.Paul on the way to Damascus' before starting to curse the new papacy. Jesus took the worst of the worst and used him to become one of the Church's greatest saints ! Along with his name change , came a new Disciple for our Lord, and countless conversions. So maybe it will be with "Robert" ,now "Leo ". Let's give him the time to prove to us who he will become. God bless Leo XIV.

I'm more disappointed with the type of judgement from within Catholic circles. They talk about the Pope as nothing more than a mere politician. Gossip and conjecture being spread just to get clicks and views.

People who expected a "not synodal" Pope must not be familiar with what's been prophesied for our times.

    Wonderful
I am struck that Pope Leo XIII composed the St Michael prayer after seeing in a vision Satan getting 100 years to try and destroy the church. This Leo has been elected on a feast of St Michael. I hope this is the bookend on this very difficult era of trial.

I had the same thought because the name choice is so profound. The two Leos, perhaps the Alpha and the Omega of this time period.

Unfortunately for the last many years, everyone has developed the habit of constant papal critique. It's not a habit that will be unlearned quickly. :(

Our trust has been seriously damaged. We need to turn to prayer and learn to trust totally in Jesus. Everything will be resolved by the power of prayer.

I hope this is true, but I can't find anything online confirming when he said this/wrote this so I'm not entirely convinced these are truly Pope Leo's words. Does anyone of the original source?

    I found a post on X.

Here is what it said at the bottom of what the former cardinal said:

Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost (Now Pope Leo XIV) Excerpt from the Speech: “Formation of Priests in the Truth”,March 12, 2022,Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome,Conference on Priestly Formation

Maybe start looking there for confirmation. God Bless

Our trust has been damaged, but this is not our fault. Given what we have had to endure since 2013, distrust is the proper protective mechanism. With the help of Christ and his Vicar Leo, may trust be restored and abundantly. Prayer may already be bearing fruit.
