I can remember a post years ago from Glenn. It concerned this prediction about an event that causes disbelief in Garabandal. I dont remember his exact words and Im not gonna try searching for them. But I think this ''event'' has something to do with another Marian apparition.
Hi Pinecone Yes I am a bit frazzled. Thanks for the concern. I need a bit of peace. Today I have just been thinking in short bursts between patients. Aviso talked about the sign of Jonah happening on June 21 2015. That was the day the pope viewed the Shroud of Turin which depicts Jesus in the Tomb. He was in the tomb for three days as Jonah was in the whale for three days. These were days of darkness. The three days of darkness have long been prophesied. Aviso said that if he told us the scenario he has been given we would not sleep til next spring and that he is 100% certain of the accuracy of his information that the Warning is close. So I was just wondering if it was reasonable to believe that his nightmare scenario would include the Three days of Darkness and that it would all come to pass by next spring. I have heard that to survive the three days you will need a Blessed Crucifix, Rosary, loads of holy water and a blessed beeswax candle that will be your only light. One such candle whatever size will burn for the three days. The candle will not light for scoffers. Pray constantly on your rosary. You will need food and water for three days. You must lock yourself and family in a room where all access to the outside world has been blacked out. It is said that if anyone looks outside during this time they will die. Demons will try to gain entry by pretending to be loved ones but on no account should anyone leave the room or open any door or window. Normal facilities such as toilets etc may well be unavailable so make provision eg buckets and disinfectant. Even if this event is not predicted its good to have this information. Hope you don't think I am nuts. I have still to get my food and water in. God bless and keep you safe thru the times ahead.
Local, you said almost everything in your post, as far as questions about difficult times ahead. I think we can look to Charlie Johnson who advises us to be sensible about having some emergency supplies for our human survival. He of course speaks also of the primary preparation by way of our relationship with our God. Work on keeping our souls in a state of Grace. So it would seem the economic crash could be on its way in the coming months. This would have a dominoes falling effect on our ability to provide the basics we have all grown accustomed to. Us practising Catholics can make the most important preparation on this Sunday 2nd August. It is the Portiuncular; and the promise to Saint Francis that if we make a good Confession resolving to avoid our sins. Receive Holy Eucharist worthily and pray for our Holy Father. We get a clean slate in Gods' eyes including atonement without time served in Purgatory to repair the damage our sins have done. I am certain Conchita would be a very happy lady if she felt we were fulfilling all Our Heavenly Mother has asked by way of Holy Rosary, Confession, Holy Eucharist and adoration. And an attempt to fast or find little sacrifices to offer and make Holy in union with the sufferings of Our Lord for the atonement of sin. Joeys' death to me was like a confirmation that indeed a time of Mercy was extended to us all. And his passing was at the time God intended at Joeys' creation. God rest his soul and comfort his family. God bless and take care of Conchita who now seems to be left on her own to face the final stage of her earthly pilgrimage, safe in the arms of Jesus and Mary with the eyes of faith. As should we also.
I have developed into a kind of lurker here after joining a few years ago & started to post with all the exuberance of a novelist who just realised how to start his new book. Anyway, maybe with all the different communication tools at our disposal ie: internet, blogs, video recording etc etc etc, Conchita may have taken steps to record the date of the Miracle just in case.... It would seem prudent to do so, yes? So, in the untimely event of Conchita's passing on, she could still communicate the necessary information.
You are very welcome! I love to laugh, it's great stress relief and good exercise--much more fun than sit-ups. I also am prepared for the three days, so I do not think you are nuts. I use blessed beeswax candles for my advent wreath, so I'll just use my advent wreath during the three days. I have the other items around the house, including holy water. I keep it in a spray bottle and when things seem to be "off" I mist the house--or the person. Kids especially love to be misted with holy water. Cats, not so much. Hopefully the three days is for another generation, I think we have quite enough to worry about without it! Peace and God bless! pcj

Hi PC I used to think that the 3 days were far away but not so sure. Interesting article on EWTN by Colin Donovan STL on The Three Days of Darkness. He says the 3 days relate to the "minor tribulation" that Garabandalists see as the time of tribulation leading up to the Warning and the 'Major Tribulation' which is seen as the Chastisement that comes before the time of peace. If this is the case the 3 days could come by next spring. Aviso may be onto something. He said the scenario he has would stop us sleeping til next spring. As you know the thought of the three days would stop anyone sleeping. After a few days of total terror I will be looking out for a cat to mist so I can get a laugh.
Haha! I have a cat you can borrow, he's a good mouser too--the only drawback is that he likes to bring the "innerds" and place them at the front door for us (*cough*). Hey, maybe a joke book in with the "darkness" supplies isn't a bad idea, just dont blow out the candle when you laugh. I wonder if the 3 days will be complete darkness? No stars even? If so, this is actually more serious than just "sitting in the dark being scared". We give cave tours here at our National Park and during the tour, the lights are extinguished so the visitors can experience total darkness. At this point the guide tells everyone that a person exposed to total darkness for several hours will start to hallucinate. Darkness for 3 days? That will send some people "around the bend". Git yer candles everyone. I will pray that your back--and everything else in your life will fall back into place (hopefully its not arthritis, that is a booger. As with Joey and supposedly Padre Pio who was also told that he would see the great miracle - they both died prior to the miracle, but those in Heaven are not dead, and isn't it possible that they will see the miracle and be there, but not in their physical bodies. Just a thought. Even if Conchita were to die before, the same would apply to her.
