    The bible reference to the axis shift is this:

    Isaiah 24 Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)
    Impending Judgment on the Earth
    24 Behold, the Lord will lay waste the earth and make it desolate,
    and he will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants.
    2 And it shall be, as with the people,
    so with the priest;
    as with the slave, so with his master;
    as with the maid, so with her mistress;
    as with the buyer, so with the seller;
    as with the lender, so with the borrower;
    as with the creditor, so with the debtor.
    3 The earth shall be utterly laid waste and utterly despoiled;
    for the Lord has spoken this word.

    Thanks for the info. I read a book back in the 1980's about a pole shift, and it said the Hopi Indians have a legend in their culture about an impending pole shift. They were so alarmed at the signs they have sent a delegation twice to the United Nations to warn the world . . .but they were sort of dismissed. I know after the Japan earthquake there was a small shift of the earth 's axis.

    What's unprecedented about Pope Francis' Year for Mercy
    Vatican City, May 8, 2015 / 07:02 pm (EWTN News/CNA
    [IMG]

    In tune with his knack for making history, Pope Francis' Year for Mercy will include things no other jubilee has: worldwide “missionaries of mercy,” and “holy doors” in every diocese for pilgrims to walk through.

    For the first time in the history of the Jubilee tradition, there will be an opportunity for individual dioceses to open a Holy Door – the Door of Mercy,” Archbishop Rino Fisichella said May 5.

    Each of the four major basilicas in Rome has a holy door, which are normally sealed shut from the inside so that they cannot be opened. The doors are only opened during jubilee years so that pilgrims can enter through them in order to gain the plenary indulgence that is connected with the jubilee.

    The rite of the opening of the Holy Door is intended to symbolically illustrate the idea that the Church’s faithful are offered an “extraordinary path” toward salvation during the time of jubilee.

    Another novelty Pope Francis has included in his jubilee are the “Missionaries of Mercy,” who will receive a special mandate from the Pope during the Ash Wednesday Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica in 2016 before going out to dioceses around the world as ambassadors of mercy.

    The idea of the missionaries, Archbishop Fisichella noted, is to “build upon the central content of the faith and to call the Church once again to its missionary priority of being a sign and witness in every aspect of its pastoral life.”

    The priests selected as missionaries will be chosen jointly by diocesan bishops and members of the pontifical council for evangelization, he said. The priests must be also patient and have a keen understanding of human frailty, but also a readiness to express God’s mercy in the sacrament of Confession.

    He said bishops emeritus are being considered due to their years of experience and ability to anticipate the needs of others.

    Although the reference to the Missionaries of Mercy in the papal bull of indiction gave special emphasis to their role during Lent, the archbishop said they would be available for the entire jubilee.

    Pope Francis himself is set to make five “jubilee signs” as a witness of the corporal and spiritual works of mercy on designated days throughout the Holy Year. Although the dates of the Pope’s works are given in the official calendar, it has not been announced what the works will be.

    The official website for the jubilee has already launched in seven languages: Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Polish.

    Heavy emphasis will also be given to social media in promoting the events of the jubilee and informing followers of the different activities surrounding it.

    Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, and Flickr can all be found on the official website. Archbishop Fisichella also noted that his council is currently exploring the idea of an app that will better integrate information surrounding the jubilee

    Pope's first South America stop: Ecuador's sanctuary of Divine Mercy
    By Elise Harris
    Vatican City, May 8, 2015 / 12:35 pm (
    EWTN News/CNA
    After arriving to Ecuador for his 10 day trip to South America, Pope Francis' first stop will be Guayaquil's Sanctuary of Divine Mercy – breaking with his usual custom of meeting the president first.

    Although the move is not unprecedented, it's unusual for Francis
    , who has met with the president and local authorities before anyone else in each of the countries he’s landed in during trips abroad since his election.

    The move demonstrates the continued emphasis the Pope places on the topic of mercy, which he has spoken of frequently since his election. The upcoming Jubilee for Mercy – which he declared in March – is set to begin Dec. 8.

    Pope Francis’ last meeting of the trip will be with youth at the Costanera riverside, after which he will leave for Rome. He is expected to arrive July 13 shortly before 2 p.m., and will likely make a stop by Rome’s basilica of Saint Mary Major on his way back to the Vatican.

    IJOP- I went into their website and it's not their logo. They actually have an article up lambasting not just the logo ( which btw would not have been my choice) but continues their contentious attacks Francis and the Church. I will make sure to stay away from these folks. Anyway, here is the article for what it worth. They clearly don't understand the purpose of this upcoming Holy Year.

    "The Vatican has unveiled its logo for the upcoming supposed “Year of Mercy” that begins on December 8, 2015 and runs through November 20, 2016. Click on the image to see a larger version. Out of all the things they could have done, this is what they came up with: Christ looks like He is skateboarding or ice-skating, He carries a man sideways on His shoulders, and there are three eyes visible, the center one clearly being shared between Christ and the man. One could also say that the image is ambiguous and appears to depict a Christ with two heads and three eyes.

    Overall, the logo gives the appearance of weirdness, twistedness, and ugliness — no surprise there. In fact, this reminds one of Francis’ Christmas card 2014, which had a donkey’s rear staring you in the face.

    The Vatican has, of course, given an official explanation of the logo:

    Along with the logo the Vatican also issued an official prayer for the year of “mercy”:

    We note that although the prayer is full of talk about forgiveness, it is short on theessential requirements to be able to obtain such forgiveness from God: supernatural sorrow for sin and a firm purpose of amendment (among other things).

    So, what do YOU think about this logo? Leave a comment in our combox below and discuss with others.

    Oh, and one more thing — the Vatican’s “Archbishop” Salvatore Fisichella issued the following warning regarding unauthorized use of the logo:

    The logo has been registered in the international forum in order to safeguard its rights and to prevent any inappropriate use. It is obvious that permission must be granted by the Pontifical Council for any non-religious use of the logo and that any infringement will be duly prosecuted.

    So much for mercy."

    I worded my opening line wrong miker, thanks for pointing that out... But none the less they are radicals !!!
    heres the opening paragraph from there home page...

    Since autumn of 2002, Novus Ordo Watch has relentlessly monitored, researched, exposed, and refuted the false doctrines, impious practices, and twisted morals of the "Novus Ordo Church," which is the false, pseudo-Catholic church that emerged after the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958, and which has effectively supplanted and eclipsed the true Catholic Church of Our Blessed Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

    We adhere fully to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church from her founding in 33 A.D. by the Blessed Lord Jesus Christ through the death of the last known Pope, Pius XII, on October 9, 1958.

    So much for Jesus saying the Gates of hell would not prevail against HIS Church... Jesus I Trust in YOU !!!

    Could Mother Teresa be canonized during the Holy Year for Mercy?
    By Elise Harris
    Vatican City, May 19, 2015 / 11:15 am (EWTN News/CNA
    Vatican spokesman Fr. Federico Lombardi has said that Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta could be canonized during the upcoming Jubilee for Mercy, although he clarified that no concrete plans have been made.

    Fr. Lombardi told EWTN News May 19 that the possible canonization of Mother Teresa during the Holy Year is “a working hypothesis.”

    “There is no official date but you can say that the Congregation for the Causes of Saints is studying the cause.”

    When asked if there was a second miracle attributed to the nun’s intercession, the spokesman said, “The cause is in the process.”

    An Italian cardinal heading one of the Vatican dicasteries who preferred to remain anonymous told EWTN News May 19 that the canonization was brought up during a Monday meeting between Pope Francis and the heads of various dicasteries in the Roman Curia.

    According to the cardinal, the Vatican’s prefect of the Congregation of the Causes for Saints, Cardinal Angelo Amato, suggested Sept. 4, 2016 – which is being observed as a jubilee day for workers and volunteers of mercy – to the others as a possible canonization date, since it is close to Sept. 5, the nun’s feast day and the anniversary of her death.

    The possible canonization of Mother Teresa was also brought up during the May 5 presentation of the Jubilee for Mercy. A journalist from the Italian publication Citta Nuova noted the date for the jubilee celebration on the eve of her feast day, and asked whether the decision signaled that her canonization could be close.

    Saint Quotes on Mercy...
    http://www.restlesspress.net/divine-mercy-gods-gift-for-our-time/

    The Saints and Doctors of the Church teach us more on the importance of this day.

    St. Augustine; “The Octave Day (8th day after Easter) is the compendium of the days of mercy”.

    Gregory of Nazianzen (great Church theologian); “that Sunday (Easter Day) was the day of salvation, but this Sunday (Octave Day – Divine Mercy Sunday) is the birthday of salvation”.

    St. Thomas Aquinas describes the Octave day as the goal and second perfection of Easter, and St. Catherine of Sienna “O Mercy! My heart is engulfed with the thought of You! For wherever I turn my thoughts, I find nothing but Mercy!”

    The Lord Jesus tells St. Faustina, “ On the day of My feast, the Feast of Mercy, you will go through the whole world and bring fainting souls to the spring of My mercy. I shall heal and strengthen them” (D 206).
