    THE MESSAGE OF FATIMA

    INTRODUCTION

As the second millennium gives way to the third, Pope John Paul II has decided to publish the text of the third part of the “secret of Fatima”...

But is it a grevious sin to doubt and question Cardinal Bertones words? Is it a grevious sin to not accept what is written here ...
The decision of His Holiness Pope John Paul II to make public the third part of the “secret” of Fatima brings to an end a period of history marked by tragic human lust for power and evil, yet pervaded by the merciful love of God and the watchful care of the Mother of Jesus and of the Church.

Here is an interesting article about the power of the rosary. The fourth title is called Our lady speaks to Russia. I think you might find it a good read.

I don't believe it is grievous sin to not believe. This is not dogma wears talking about. I have said this before......I have a hard time believing in the consecration of Russia. Also I don't believe the sister Lucia of later yrs is the same. When I say that......I am not accusing Popes of a coverup. There is truly the possibility that they had no idea it was not sister Lucia. They didn't not know her then because she was cloistered. Now we all know that all man are sinners and we know there are some of the highest in the hierarchy are not good. Men in the church could have easily created a coverup and duped the last 2 Popes into believing that the sister Lucia of later yrs .....was the same.
Facial structures do not change over time. Study the picture more and you will see that there are many inconsistencies.

Pope Benedict vindicated the Fatima Centre when he affirmed what they had always said . That Cardinal Bertone has deceived himself , and therefore deceiving others.
And I will leave it at that.

OK , The official position , which apparently we must not question, according to some a grevious sin, is, http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/c...on_cfaith_doc_20000626_message-fatima_en.html

This means you must believe the Assasination attempt on JPII by a lone gunman in 1981 which injured him , was the fulfillment of the prophecy where a Bishop dressed in white is killed by bullets and arrows climbing the mountain over dead bodys..

...''the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions.''

And that as Cardinal Bertone says ...brings to an end a period of history marked by tragic human lust for power and evil, yet pervaded by the merciful love of God and the watchful care of the Mother of Jesus and of the Church.
    Tarcisio Bertone, SDB

Yet Pope Benedict said ...“He deceives himself who thinks that the prophetic mission of Fatima is concluded.” Pope Benedict XVI: May 13, 2010 Homily at Fatima

Cardinal Bertone thinks and teaches it is fulfilled . Like the Blue Army .

    HOLY MASS

HOMILY OF HIS HOLINESS BENEDICT XVI

Esplanade of the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima
    Thursday, 13 May 2010

This holy place is the proof of it.
In seven years you will return here to celebrate the centenary of the first visit made by the Lady “come from heaven”, the Teacher who introduced the little seers to a deep knowledge of the Love of the Blessed Trinity and led them to savour God himself as the most beautiful reality of human existence. This experience of grace made them fall in love with God in Jesus, so much so that Jacinta could cry out: “How much I delight in telling Jesus that I love him! When I tell him this often, I feel as if I have a fire in my breast, yet it does not burn me”. And Francisco could say: “What I liked most of all was seeing Our Lord in that light which Our Mother put into our hearts. I love God so much!” (Memoirs of Sister Lúcia, I, 42 and 126).

Brothers and sisters, in listening to these innocent and profound mystical confidences of the shepherd children, one might look at them with a touch of envy for what they were able to see, or with the disappointed resignation of someone who was not so fortunate, yet still demands to see. To such persons, the Pope says, as does Jesus: “Is not this the reason you are wrong, that you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?” (Mk 12:24). The Scriptures invite us to believe: “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe” (Jn 20:29),

Who awaits the dawn of the new day, fanning the flame of faith? Faith in God opens before us the horizon of a sure hope, one which does not disappoint; it indicates a solid foundation on which to base one’s life without fear; it demands a faith-filled surrender into the hands of the Love which sustains the world.

“Their descendants shall be known among the nations, […] they are a people whom the Lord has blessed” (Is 61:9) with an unshakable hope which bears fruit in a love which sacrifices for others, yet does not sacrifice others. Rather, as we heard in the second reading, this love “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Cor 13:7). An example and encouragement is to be found in the shepherd children, who offered their whole lives to God and shared them fully with others for love of God. Our Lady helped them to open their hearts to universal love. Blessed Jacinta, in particular, proved tireless in sharing with the needy and in making sacrifices for the conversion of sinners. Only with this fraternal and generous love will we succeed in building the civilization of love and peace.

We would be mistaken to think that Fatima’s prophetic mission is complete. Here there takes on new life the plan of God which asks humanity from the beginning: “Where is your brother Abel […] Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground!” (Gen 4:9). Mankind has succeeded in unleashing a cycle of death and terror, but failed in bringing it to an end… In sacred Scripture we often find that God seeks righteous men and women in order to save the city of man and he does the same here, in Fatima, when Our Lady asks: “Do you want to offer yourselves to God, to endure all the sufferings which he will send you, in an act of reparation for the sins by which he is offended and of supplication for the conversion of sinners?” (Memoirs of Sister Lúcia, I, 162).

At a time when the human family was ready to sacrifice all that was most sacred on the altar of the petty and selfish interests of nations, races, ideologies, groups and individuals, our Blessed Mother came from heaven, offering to implant in the hearts of all those who trust in her the Love of God burning in her own heart. At that time it was only to three children, yet the example of their lives spread and multiplied, especially as a result of the travels of the Pilgrim Virgin, in countless groups throughout the world dedicated to the cause of fraternal solidarity. May the seven years which separate us from the centenary of the apparitions hasten the fulfilment of the prophecy of the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to the glory of the Most Holy Trinity.

Here is another perspective from a Medjugorje supporter:
“At that time it was ONLY to three children...” Was Benedict XVI alluding to the SIX children of the present time associated with the Medjugorje phenomenon, the SIX seers who also claim they are taught by Our Lady, and whose consistent witness for more than 30 years has resulted in “countless groups throughout the world” striving to live the messages of peace given by Our Lady?

A new cathedral dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima in the land of the gulag

Karaganda (Agenzia Fides) - The Diocese of Kazaka in Karaganda has officially inaugurated the new Cathedral dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, "Mary, Mother of All Nations." The solemn rite of consecration was celebrated yesterday, Sunday, September 9 and was presided by Cardinal Angelo Sodano, Special Envoy of His Holiness Benedict XVI. Along with His Exc. Mgr. Janusz Kaleta, Bishop of Karaganda, other Bishops of Kazakhstan concelebrated. As reported to Fides Agency, there were more than 1,500 faithful, among priests, nuns and Kazakhs pilgrims and other 14 nationalities, even Korea, as well as Orthodox Christian, Muslim leaders, and local civil authorities The church, in Gothic style and covered in stone of Caucasus, was built thanks to the donations of the faithful in the world, and thanks to the contribution of the previous Bishops of Karaganda, Mgr. Pavel Lenga, and Auxiliary Bishop Athanasius Schneider. The building permit was granted by the Government of Kazako to the local church in 2003. In an interview with Fides, Mgr. Janusz Kaleta, Bishop of Karaganda, expressed "great joy for a real Cathedral: a big church to be a place of prayer and a visible sign to attract new faithful to the Christian faith." Noting that it was "a great event, which also involved the civil community," the Bishop thanked "all those who have contributed to this project." "We all believe that these are the fruits of the martyrs and the suffering that Christians lived in the past in these lands," remarked to Fides Fr. Piotr Pytlowany, Rector of the Seminary of the diocese. "We entrust the Catholic community in Kazakhstan, and in all the countries of the former Soviet Union, to the special protection of the Virgin of Fatima, who has already worked miracles: for example we recall the support received from the local government for this project." In the Soviet era, Kazakhstan became a place of deportation par excellence: among the deportees in the "gulag" there were thousands of Catholics of Polish, Ukrainian, German nationality, but also from Lithuania and Belarus. The city of Karaganda was the center of a web of camps called "Karlag" ("Karaganda lager"), one of the largest and most horrible points of the universe of Soviet concentration camps, that imprisoned the victims of religious and political oppression. Many priests deported favored the emergence of a clandestine Church: among these is Fr. Alexij Saritski, beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2001. Today in Karaganda, a city of two million and a half inhabitants, there is a large mosque, an Orthodox church, and a new Catholic Cathedral, to celebrate faith and to remember the martyrs. I tried to post this yesterday but I don't think the link was working.

    Our Lady speaks to Russia.

    a. On October 13, 1960.

Most of us remember the time when Nikita Khrushchev visited the United Nations in October, 1960 and boasted that "they would bury us"—would annihilate us! And to emphasize his boasting, he took off his shoe and pounded the desk before the horrified world assembly.

This was no idle boast. Khrushchev knew his scientists had been working on a nuclear missile and had completed their work and planned on November 1960, the 43rd anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution, to present it to Khrushchev.

But here's what happened. Pope John XXIII had opened and read the third Fatima secret given to Sister Lucy. He authorized the Bishop of Leiria (Fatima) to write to all the bishops of the world, inviting them to join with the pilgrims of Fatima on the night of October 12-13, 1960, in prayer and penance for Russia's conversion and consequent world peace.

On the night of October 12-13, about a million pilgrims spent the night outdoors in the Cova da Iria at Fatima in prayer and penance before the Blessed Sacrament. They prayed and watched despite a penetrating rain which chilled them to the bone.

At the same time at least 300 dioceses throughout the world joined with them. Pope John XXIII sent a special blessing to all taking part in this unprecedented night of reparation.

Well, here is what happened. On the night between October 12 and 13, right after his shoe-pounding episode, Khrushchev suddenly pulled up stakes and enplaned in all haste for Moscow, cancelling all subsequent engagements, Why?

Marshall Nedelin, the best minds in Russia on nuclear energy and several government officials were present for the final testing of the missile that was going to be presented to Khrushchev. When countdown was completed, the missile, for some reason or other, did not leave the launch pad. After 15 or 20 minutes, Nedelin and all the others came out of the shelter. When they did, the missile exploded killing over 300 people. This set back Russia's nuclear program for 20 years, prevented all-out atomic warfare, the burying of the U.S.—and this happened on the night when the whole Catholic world was on its knees before the Blessed Sacrament, gathered at the feet of our Rosary Queen in Fatima. Our Lady does not want nuclear war.

    b. On May 13, 1984.

On May 13, 1984, one of the largest crowds ever was gathered at Fatima to celebrate the anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady there. On that very day a massive explosion destroyed two-thirds of the surface-to-air and ship-to-ship missiles of the Soviet Union's mightiest fleet—the Northern Fleet, charged in wartime with cutting off NATO's Atlantic sea lanes. According to Jane's Defense Weekly of London, this was "the greatest disaster to occur in the Soviet Navy since World War II." Is it not time that we place more confidence in the promises and power of Our Lady?

    c. On April 28, 1986.

Everyone has read of the Chernobyl disaster in the Ukraine. Direct damage was about 2.7 billion dollars. The indirect cost was far more, with the contamination of 1,000 square miles of farmland. But the greatest effect was the spiritual effect on the Russian people.

A prominent Russian writer pointed out that Chernobyl is the Ukrainian word for "wormwood" (a bitter herb used as a tonic in rural Russia). Then he observed that in the Book of Revelation, it is written that a great star fell from the heavens making a third part of the waters bitter. And the name of that star is Wormwood (Rev. 8:10-11).

With uncanny speed this connection between the Chernobyl disaster and the words of Revelation has spread across Russia, giving Chernobyl the quality of an almost supernatural disaster. It has had an impact on the Russian people, especially when they remembered that Christianity came to the very region of Chernobyl to the tribe of Rus in 998 A.D.

    d. On May 12, 1988.

On May 18, 1988, the Associated Press reported that "Blast shuts Soviet's sole missile motor plant." The article began, "A major explosion has shut down the only plant in the Soviet Union that makes the main rocket motors of that country's newest long-range nuclear missile, according to U.S. officials." The Pentagon issued a statement saying it happened May 12 and "destroyed several buildings at a Soviet propellant plant in Pavlograd," about 500 miles southwest of Moscow in the Ukraine.

Just before that, on May 3, 1988, here in our own country, an explosion ripped apart a Nevada plant that was probably handling the ammonium perchlorate used in the main rocket motor for the SS-24. Again, is not Our Lady preventing nuclear war, in response to our rosaries of reparation?
