Father Gruner, and those who worked with him at the Fatima Crusader, were very articulate in there arguments supporting their position on the consecration not fulfilling Our Lady of Fatima's specific request for RUSSIA to be consecrated. Many very holy priests and messengers from God, who are also VERY VERY VERY ORTHODOX, have also spoken clearly that all the various attempts at the consecration have merited God's grace, yet have not satisfied our Lady's specific request. I don't think we will have to wait much longer for Russia to unleash its fury on the world and the Holy Father will then fulfill Mary's specific request in union with those still united to Rome to formally consecrate Russia. Only then will there come peace.

Heaven’s desire for the consecration of Russia to The Immaculate Heart of Mary was completely satisfied on March 25, 1984. Sister Lucia confirmed that this solemn and universal act of consecration corresponded to what Our Lady wished at that time as well as later on when she wrote in a letter dated November 8, 1989: “Yes, it has been done just as Our Lady asked on March 25, 1984.” The Church has spoken on the matter, and the woman through whom the request was communicated to the pope has declared it accomplished as well. The deposit of the Faith, therefore, is to be found in the twin fountains of Public Revelation, Sacred Scripture and Sacred (Apostolic) Tradition. While some things in Public Revelation can be known by reason (the existence of a Supreme Being, elements of the moral law), many matters involve supernatural realities (mysteries such as the Trinity, divinity of Christ, grace, etc.) which cannot be known or proven directly by the senses or human reason. However, fortified by God's gift of supernatural Faith the human intellect is made capable of assenting to such truths (Mt. 16:17) and even understanding them, in so far as human beings can. Catholics are obliged to believe the entire deposit of the Faith by this divine and Catholic Faith, the extent of which is known by the teaching of the Church. Fraudulent Letters He cited, as proof of this nonsense, a letter supposedly written by Sister Lucy. Except that he doesn’t give us a copy of the letter – neither its full text, nor a photo image of any part of it. Nor does he tell us to whom the letter was addressed. All he tells us is that in a “letter of 8 November 1989,” Sister Lucy “personally confirmed that this solemn and universal act of consecration corresponded to what Our Lady wished: ‘Yes it has been done just as Our Lady asked, on 25 March 1984.’” We don’t need to see the letter, however, because we already know it to be a fraud. That letter was sent by someone purporting to be Sister Lucy to a Mr. Walter Noelker. It was one of five notorious forgeries produced between August 1989 and July 1990, which had been debunked by the French religious of the CRC (La Contre-Réforme Catholique) under the Abbé Georges de Nantes, almost as quickly as they were produced.3 That Archbishop Bertone had the temerity to trot out one of these long-since-discredited fraudulent letters is as amazing as it is inexcusable. It speaks volumes that this was the onlyscrap of evidence he could muster to substantiate his position – especially given that Sister Lucy was still alive at the time, and could have been present to personally confirm all of the Archbishop’s claims, if they were indeed true! Those five letters were all clumsy frauds, each containing factual errors that Sr. Lucia would never have made. In this Noelker letter, for instance, the author refers to Paul VI’s visit to Fatima on May 13, 1967, saying that he performed a consecration of the world at that time. He did no such thing, beyond blessing some Pilgrim Virgin statues, and the real Sister Lucy was present at that visit. She would not have made that gross error. Forensic Experts Prove the Letters Are Forged One of these five original fraudulent letters had been sent to Father Kramer (who has often collaborated with me at the Fatima Center), and we submitted this letter to a forensic expert. He formally examined the signature on the letter, comparing it to Sister Lucy’s known writing, and he pronounced it to be a forgery.4 Frère François de Marie des Anges of the Contre-Réforme Catholique publicly challenged the authenticity of these letters, both in his writings5 and in personal confrontations with the persons – churchmen, in fact – whom he publicly accused of producing these forgeries, or of publishing them as if authentic. They never denied his face-toface accusations.6 The Bishop of Leiria-Fatima, Msgr. Alberto Cosme do Amaral, organized an “International Pastoral Conference” to take place in the Paul VI Center in Fatima on the days preceding the October 13th anniversary pilgrimage in 1992. On Sunday, October 11th, the second-to-last day of the conference, Father Luis Kondor (then Vice-Postulator for the beatification of Blesseds Francisco and Jacinta) presided over a session in the main amphitheater in which Father Robert Fox (then publisher of The Immaculate Heart Messenger) gave a presentation about his work in the so-called “Fatima Family Apostolate.” False Fables of Father Fox A discussion-session followed the presentation, during which a man in the audience said: “I know that you, Reverend Father Fox, have announced in the U.S.A. that the Consecration of Russia was accomplished on March 25, 1984, and in sohttp://www.fatimacrusader.com/cr111/cr111.pdf
Russia has not been consecrated. Cardinal Ratzinger admitted this at the press conference at the Vatican in the year 2000 when the "Third Secret" was "revealed." Here's the video in which Chris Ferrara reads from the transcript of that news conference the words of Cardinal Ratzinger himself concerning the consecration, beginning at 48:50 but especially right at 50:00 minutes into the video: Regarding a question about Fr. Gruner, Cardinal Ratzinger answers the reporter: Quote "I think that he should conform himself to the magisterium of the Church, recognizing that the Consecration of Russia is done according to the will of the Madonna, and that he should leave it to the Magisterium of the Church to find the right moment." He was saying in the year 2000 that the Magisterium had not yet found the right moment, that the Consecration of Russia has not been done. Cardinal Ratzinger goes on (in the transcript): Quote "He could make this proposal [i.e., the Consecration of Russia] but he should also be capable of being sufficiently generous to accept thatthe Magisterium has her reasons to not do it immediately, but to wait a little, and above all for the maturation of the process of the three shepherds."
....Then why pay attention at all, to whether the Church approves a subsequent revelation or not? You can't say, on one hand, that there is no supernaturally protected authority that exists within the Church to govern a subsequent revelation, and then, on the other hand, say that to question such authority is sinful. It defies logic.
......And if one DOES follow your logic here, it must be concluded that the Church CANNOT and DOES NOT speak infallibly about such subsequent revelation, and therefore CAN err in this regard (aside from comparative doctrinal analysis to the deposit). Which in turn means some aspects of its interpretation (tangential to doctrinal issues), can also be attacked and even corrupted by evil, without violating the direct prophecy given by Christ that "the gates of hell shall not prevail" (which many like to cite to quell ANY discussion of factions within the Church that may have infiltrated and even usurped certain areas or decisions).
None of this means we believe the Church to be a democracy that can be directed by a mob rule of clergy and/or laity. It could very well be that the consecration is being managed much in the way the 3rd secret has been managed: Pope John Paul II (1980): "Given the seriousness of the contents, my predecessors in the Petrine office diplomatically preferred to postpone publication so as not to encourage the world power of Communism to make certain moves. "On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this: if there is a message in which it is written that the oceans will flood whole areas of the earth, and that from one moment to the next millions of people will perish, truly the publication of such a message is no longer something to be so much desired."

And, between Father Murphy and myself, who will be presenting to you this year the various aspects of this devotion and leading you in making it properly, I have been given the more difficult task, since I not only have to introduce the devotion to you, but also present to you the first of the five reasons the Mother of God gave Sister Maria das Dores this devotion to spread. But we have to begin somewhere, and the best place to begin anything is at the beginning, and the beginning of our consideration of this devotion is simply to recognize the significance of our Blessed Lady in asking that this devotion take place on Saturday. Why is that significant? Because Saturday was, at the time Sister Maria was given this mandate, already a day the Church had set aside for prayer to the Mother of God. It had been for centuries, and was formally confirmed as such by Pope Saint Pius X in a decree he issued in 1905, in which he offered several indulgences for doing so, long before Mary ever appeared at Fatima. And the reason that's significant is because it reminds us that everything Mary has told us through her servant Lucia was said always in obedience to—and under the authority of—Christ's Holy Church. Some of us sometimes forget that. Sometimes we imagine that the veneration of the Mother of God and the messages of Our Lady of Fatima constitute some sort of religion unto themselves, with the Church being an entity of officialdom which we judge as worthy or unworthy of our Lady's favor to the degree that the Church conforms herself to what Mary says. And there have always been, and will always be, agitating people who will insist on passing judgment on the Church based on what they think Mary said. How many of us have heard it said, for example, that the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary was not done by Pope Saint John Paul II the way Mary required, because he didn't mention Russia by name? What a stupid argument that is. It's also an argument that I regard as seriously sinful: the Church, according to the Blessed Apostle Paul, is the Body of Christ, which is the same thing as saying the Church is Jesus. To disobey the Church is to be an enemy of Jesus and Mary. I'll repeat that, just so there's no mistake: to disobey the Church is to be an enemy of Jesus and Mary.

In the Book of Genesis, man, who had been created in grace and in the image and likeness of his creator, offends God and is stripped of sanctifying grace (cf. Gen. 3). What was the offense that man committed? He ate an apple. It wasn't because God was opposed to fruit. How is the tree in the Garden of Eden described? It is called the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (Gen. 2: 9); it's a metaphorical tree. The fruit on that tree symbolizes the authority of God to decide the difference between right and wrong: things are right and wrong, good and bad, because God says so. By eating the fruit off the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, man attempts to take that authority away from God and give it to himself, so that he, man, becomes the one to decide for himself what's right and what's wrong. That's why it's called the Original Sin: because all other sins are derived from it. Every sin that we can commit is basically the same: it reflects a desire on our part to decide for ourselves what's right and what's wrong. When Adam eats the fruit off the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he's trying to become God. He is saying to God, “You will no longer tell me what's right and what's wrong; I'll do that for myself.” Every time we commit a sin, we are saying to God, “It's none of your business, God, to tell me that this is wrong. I have decided that it's right for me, so I will do it anyway.” We are trying to be God (cf. Gen. 3: 22).
