So many signs and wonders...God has used dates and times throughout the bible. There is no coincidence that it starts and ends on those very important dates. I think some very Holy people by the Grace of God are starting to connect dots. I am sure there are some very powerful saints being let loose on earth. Because when great darkness begins to encompass the world... God sends the counter-balance. There is a natural law that is in motion and when the super-natural begins to effect natural order God will intervene. My personal belief is the "created one" asked God for a certain number of years to super-naturally affect natural law. And his time is coming to a end. Even the ills of Vatican 2 (eventhough i still believe it was guided by the Holy Spirit) is starting to reform the reform. God might be leading us to the final battle. Might be time for man to choose between God or the world. For those that are following the path it is a very mystical and magical time. If it is the Holy year of Mercy then judgement is right around the corner. Could be today or could be 100 years from now. Lets pray that those souls take advantage of Gods Mercy because what comes afterwords might be a slide of ice that has no ladder.

Thank you for your posting and website.

    May Gods Will be Done

Pope St John Paul II said he held off St Faustinas canonization to the start of the New Millinium to be a sign! (Homily for St Faustina.... 5. Sr Faustina's canonization has a particular eloquence: by this act I intend today to pass this message on to the new millennium. I pass it on to all people, so that they will learn to know ever better the true face of God and the true face of their brethren.)
Faustina is the 1st Saint canonized in the third millinium on April 30th 2000 also Francisco and Jacinta(2 Fatima mystics) were canonized on May 13th 2000...another sign. Ive read commentaries on this (2 local priests also) believe Pope St John Paul was making a connection between both apparitions, another sign..... Quick note this took place during the Great Jubille year 2000 Theme, Incarnation of Christ..... ponder

Pope John Pauls BULL for 2000... 2. The Great Jubilee of the Year 2000 is almost upon us. Ever since my first Encyclical Letter Redemptor Hominis, I have looked towards this occasion with the sole purpose of preparing everyone to be docile to the working of the Spirit

Pope Francis declared this Jubilee of mercy, he said, because we are living at a “time of great historical change” which calls the Church “to offer more evident signs of God’s presence and closeness.”

This period in history is a time where the faithful “need to be vigilant and to reawaken in ourselves the capacity to see what is essential,” he said.

“This is the time for mercy.”

    Sounds like the 2nd Pentecost???

He also addresses confessors, encouraging them to be “authentic signs of the Father’s mercy.” And, during Lent of the Holy Year, the Pope says he will send out “Missionaries of Mercy”–priests to whom he will grant “the authority to pardon even those sins reserved to the Holy See.” They will be “living signs of the Father’s readiness to welcome those in search of his pardon,” he writes.

As a third theme, the Pope issues particular calls for justice and conversion. He asks members of criminal organizations and those involved in corruption to change their lives and to embrace God’s mercy.

He also notes that both Judaism and Islam “consider mercy to be one of God’s most important attributes.” And he expresses “trust that this Jubilee… will foster an encounter” with these and other religions that will “open us to even more fervent dialogue” toward greater knowledge and understanding, “eliminate every form of closed-mindedness and disrespect and drive out every form of violence and discrimination.”

Daniel, nice job with the blog!
Did you happen to listen to EWTN with Vatican English translator for the BULL?
I was really struck by the plea to all criminal enterprises to take advantage of this time of Mercy, I beg you!....was something to this effect. To me, I read all goverments, organized crime...etc

    Powerful stuff indeed.

These words rang when I read them.....The Jubilee year will close with the liturgical Solemnity of Christ the King on 20 November 2016. On that day, as we seal the Holy Door, we shall be filled, above all, with a sense of gratitude and thanksgiving to the Most Holy Trinity for having granted us an extraordinary time of grace.

I makes me wonder if this isn't possibly the door of mercy closing before the day of justice Jesus speaks of to Faustina. I tend to think not unless the actual illumination comes before or during this holy year. Unless it is to prepare the church for the illumination which could follow soon after.

Not getting too caught up in this date stuff though ......powerful words from Pope Francis, he plans to make this year something truely special and unique in the history of the church. You can feel the holy spirit working through these words and I can feel it personally like I haven't in some time. Quite amazing.

I have thought about St. JPII and the third millennium quite a bit recently:
    • When Mark Mallet, in his latest post, quoted then JPII at World Youth Day calling the youth to be prophets of the new millennium
    • When recalling the many references made by JPII in his writings on Crossing the Threshold of Hope
    • In other references made of JPII referring to the 3rd millennium of the Church
    • In what you have said above regarding the timing if the canonization of St. Faustina
It reinforces something that I have been feeling since 2000. On the positive side, it reinforces:
    1. That JPII was actively preparing us to help bring about the new "era" of the Church
    2. That, to many who were listening, we were given a grace to understand it as the announcement of the coming fulfillment of the significant era prophesied in:
      1. 3rd secret of Fatima
      2. Garabandal
      3. Divine Mercy in My Soul
      4. etc.
    3. That JPII's call to turn to the rosary in 1980 (or 1982) was the beginning of these indications:
      1. Because the chastisement described in the 3rd secret could no longer be avoided, but could be mitigated/lessened by this devotion to prayer)
      2. And that the Blessed Mother indicated this in Garabandal when she said:
        • 1961 - "The cup is filling up"
        • 1965 - "The cup is flowing over"
But, I think there was an unfortunate negative that was unintended, but served to confuse people, and lull them into sleep:
    1. People assumed that the new millennium, or 3rd millennium, started in 2000
    2. Terms like "new Springtime" in the church were interpreted softly, ambiguously
    3. When 2000 passed, almost all of the general emphasis on the significance of this was lost, and assumed to be part of history.
I see now, that the new millennium is still to come, and JPII was right. It just didn't begin in 2000. (That numerical year was not the key, or the significant thing to focus on.)

  13. I too see this as a massive preparation for the Illumination of consciences, the Warning of Garabandal, which is a unique act of Mercy from God to bring us -sinners- back to the right track and to prepare us for what is coming, both in the negative (persecution, the antichrist...) and in the positive (the new Era of Peace as in the Book of Revelation). My sense is that the Warning will take place before the closing of the Door of Mercy on November 20, 2016.

I even would say that Pope Francis himself sees this Jubilee as much more than what he can lead the Church to offer to the world. He says in the last paragraph of the Bull:
let us allow God to surprise us

Without mentioning Marian apparitions or the outpouring of contemporary prophetic material, this Jubilee that the Pope has been inspired to offer to the Church is an amazing confirmation of what we have been discussing and bringing forth in this forum. This time it comes directly from the Vicar of Christ who undoubtedly is being guided by the Holy Spirit.

I am very grateful to this forum and the faith community that has been built among us. Let us pray and see how the Spirit will guide us also to respond individually and as a faith community to the great graces that we are receiving.

    nice presentation Jon!
We have to keep in mind God does not operate in time and space, everything is in the present. Some went to sleep and some mock the New Springtime JPII spoke of.Its like the parable of the 10 virgins,
    St Matthew 25
5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those maidens rose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise replied, ‘Perhaps there will not be enough for us and for you; go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other maidens came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ 12 But he replied, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

We have a lot to unpack from JPII thru todays BULL!

Sounds to me by next Lent some MAJIOR events are going to take place... for souls to be in search of pardon that ONLY the Pope can forgive. Priests that will be living signs.....Enoch and Elijah???
Greater waves are going to come upon the Church for sure...

I've been trying to find out about the sins only the Pope can forgive. This is from a 2009 article:

"A number of sins are considered so heinous by the Catholic Church that only the Pope can grant absolution. They include: - Defiling the Eucharist, either by spitting it out or using it in a Satanic ritual - Attempting to assassinate the Pope - As a priest, breaking the seal of confession by revealing details about a repentant sinner - As a priest, offering absolution to one's own sexual partner - Participating in an abortion, even by paying for it, and later seeking to become a priest." http://www.canada.com/story.html?id=d9e2cfc6-182d-4afc-9e0f-9708f1bea4f9

Anybody else have knowledge about this?

It makes me wonder if there will be a huge influx of Eucharistic defilers / satanists seeking forgiveness (after the warning?). And/or, large numbers of priests will be required by governments to reveal secrets of the confessional, and will comply. Why else would missionaries of mercy be granted this dispensation?

    Catechism of the Catholic Church

1463 Certain particularly grave sins incur excommunication, the most severe ecclesiastical penalty, which impedes the reception of the sacraments and the exercise of certain ecclesiastical acts, and for which absolution consequently cannot be granted, according to canon law, except by the Pope, the bishop of the place or priests authorized by them.68 In danger of death any priest, even if deprived of faculties for hearing confessions, can absolve from every sin and excommunication.69 (982) page 368
