View attachment 2483 Do you think he really said this? Do you agree with it? I think the sentence "It is not necessary to go to church and give money-for many, nature can be church." -doesn't sit well with me. Also, the common "spiritual but not religious" argument. I love Pope Francis but I wonder if he really said this. Again this was going around on Facebook.
I have a feeling that he didn't say that. A lot of what he has supposedly said has been misquoted or even falsified in a lot of cases.
I used to get upset or uptight about what the Holy Father was supposed to have said or done. But after a while checking up, or seeing others checking up on these reports I found they just never happened. If he realy said what he was supposed to have siad then clearly he is not a Catholic. But it would take a lot to convince me he really said it. Chasing after these things reminds me of my dogs chasing after rabbits, they have great fun, I suppose the rabbits have great fun, but there is no way they are ever going to catch them. I no longer chase after these rabbits myself. If I actually hear him say these things myself, then I will believe.might. Till then....no more rabbits for me...
Please Research before posting something like this, IT IS FALSE ! http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/popeatheist.asp "the quote appended to the image that circulated in December 2014 does not match any verifiable comments made by Pope Francis. ." It's not clear where the quote originated, but there is no proof (nor is there precedent) for the claim Pope Francis voiced it."-SNOOPES
I copied it from a family member who "liked" it on Facebook. I didn't intend to say it was a true quote. I was looking for opinions on the validity. Thank you for your research on this.
No worries Joanne, most of us understood you were asking a sincere question. Better to ask than let it bother you.
I often suspect there is a real effort out there to hijack Pope Francis, to create of him what people want to make of him. It just seems so organised and well thought out , it makes me start to wonder if there is some centralised grouping or set of hands out there. It is difficult to point the finger but I suspect there is. So now, as they wish there are two Pope Francis's the real one and what he says and the one they have created. They one they wish for, the devils.
