Even when a penitent tells the priest in confession that he has poisoned all the hosts being used for Mass, that priest must still consume the host and distribute it to the congregation as if he never heard the confession. The sacramental seal is inviolable.

There is a disgraceful global persecution of our faith, usally dove-tailing the persecution with a handy smokescreen to divert attention away from some other government crisis.
Where will this logic go; confession today, whats tomorrow - fine for praying, jail for attending Mass.
I always wonder how bad it will get for Garabandal "things to be at their worst".....

Thanks for the link andree. Astonishing.

As controversial as this statement may be, and I apologise if anyones offended, but as far as Im concerned, some, not all, though most protestant denominations have strayed so far from the 16th centruary reformation ideals, that I struggle to class them as christian, and have become "designer churches", morphing to fit the culture regardless of the cost.
Billy Grahem being a notible exception.

How frightening is it then, that the ACP, the devisive, rebellious, schismatic group of priests, seem to follow the protestants path of gay this, married that, female whatever.
Im convinced Most Catholics on this forum will be in a tiny, tiny minority in the near future, with no church to attend as all our local churches will be taken by "We Are Church Ireland".
    God help us.

Any Church that supports the murder of the unborn of sexual perversion is no longer Christian and we should break off all Ecumenical contact with them whatsoever.

    H
How many of our fellow parishioners would we have to cease contact with also?

I was on a Parish Pastoral Council until abortion was railroaded into Ireland, and only one other member thought that we as a PPC should have any opinion on the matter.
The consciences of the 'others' trumped the consciences of us 'pro-lifers'. Neither of us felt we could stay on the PPC if it was so confused about its underlying principles.

Trusting in God is hard in these circumstances, but trust I must.

    Prayers going up.

I wouldn't like to be any Catholic for any reason standing before the Judgement seat of God explaining why I put an innocent priest in this position.

The Seal of Confession is , to some extent, a two way affair.

I didn't know this! I knew the priest could never repeat what he heard in Confession, but never act on the information?
