The old Ark contained the word of God in stone. The new Ark (Mary) contained the word of God in flesh.

I love this media that presents the new Ark of the Convenant so well

I agree but in the context of the "altar and the Ark being removed" from our midst, this seems to me to relate to the Tabernacle since Our Lady will always be with those who venerate Her.

Judith 3:13 The Lord heard their prayers and had regard for their distress; for the people fasted for many days throughout Judea and in Jerusalem before the sanctuary of the Lord almighty. “Beloved children, weep and wail! Offer me all things, great and small, so that the calamities may yet be mitigated. I have been exhorting you to prayer and sacrifice for many years now. My words fall on deaf ears far too often. You who hear me and heed my warnings must bear the greater share of the burden. You are Simon of Cyrene and I am asking you to carry my cross. Do not take it up reluctantly, but with great joy give thanks to God for the great honor he bestows on you and the great trust he places in you in allowing you to carry so precious a treasure as the cross of Christ. Simon could not have known, but you know. Therefore, when I ask you to carry a burden, embrace it with holy joy. Offer it to the Father in the Divine Will in the name of everyone to make up for what is lacking in those who refuse their mission. Make your fiat one with mine and our Mother’s. Children, beloved ones, I am depending on you. You have no idea what your fiat can purchase. Trust in me, my children. The world is in need of your fiat!" O my Jesus, forgive me for all the times I have refused to help you carry your cross. How weak I am! But your mercy far surpasses my weakness and so I ask you in the Divine Will to take all my errors and sins and redo them in the Divine Will as if I had done them well the first time. I ask this so your holy will may be accomplished in the world and that your kingdom may come. I give you my fiat linked to yours and to our Mother’s Jesus I trust in you. (Note: On Saturday at Mass I was looking at the crucifix and praying for the coming of the Kingdom of the Divine Will. I felt the Lord tell me that the road to the kingdom is the way of the cross. So we need to view the hardships we are asked to endure through the lens of the cross, from the vantage point of the Kingdom. Jesus we trust in you, even if your designs are too mysterious for us. We trust in you. Amen.

Isaiah 15:8-9 For a cry has gone around the land of Moab, the wailing reaches to
Eglaim, the wailing reaches to Beer-elim, for the waters of Dobon are full of blood.”

“My beloved children, have you let up on your prayers and sacrifices? If you knew the
destruction that is coming, you would not cease to fast and pray. My children, draw
near to me. I am your Deliverer. I am the Just Warrior, the Faithful Commander, the
Mighty Conqueror. I am with all those who call on me. Will you suffer? Did I suffer?
Do not think about what you may be asked to endure. It is fruitless to dwell on the
unknown. Remain in me, here and now. The present is where peace dwells; anxiety
belongs to the future. Remain in me and you will know peace no matter the
circumstances. Children I assure you, a glorious victory is in store for all those who
trust in me. Children I am near.”

Jesus, Beloved, I trust in you. Help me to remain rooted in your presence in the
present moment. I offer you each present moment with its joys and sorrows, in the
Divine Will, for the conversion of a great many sinners, through the Immaculate Heart
of Mary. Lord have mercy on us all. Jesus I trust in you. Save souls! Amen.

A few nights ago I had a dream in which I was in a room with someone I know who is
away from the church. I looked outside and saw a form coming towards us. I KNEW it was
the Lord, even though the form was not human-shaped. I fell to my knees and began to
pray repeatedly, “Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy…” The form covered us and then
left. In the dream I felt this was a global event. I immediately turned to the person
I was with and asked, “Did the Lord touch you?” and he said, “Yes!” I could see the
conversion in him and was overjoyed. I feel this dream was a confirmation that our
prayers—especially the Divine Mercy chaplet—are bearing fruit in souls. Let us not be
lax in our prayers, but continue to flood the earth with Divine Mercy.

I asked for a Scripture passage for this dream and was given Obadiah 1:17 But there
will be survivors on Mount Zion—a holy remnant. The house of Jacob will take
    possession of its own inheritance.

Lord Jesus, we believe that in you we have the victory, and that none of those you
have given us to pray for will be lost. Help us to be persistent in prayer and take
away all our useless distractions. Jesus help us to be your willing workers, winning
for you with our prayers and sacrifices the souls for which you thirst. In your most
holy name and in the Divine Will, we claim all these souls for the kingdom. Jesus we
    trust in you! Save souls!

Isaiah 13:2-3 On a bare hill raise a signal, cry aloud to them; wave the hand for them
to enter the gates of the nobles. I myself have commanded my consecrated ones, have
summoned my warriors, my proudly exulting ones, to execute my anger.

“Little children, you do not know, you cannot imagine what is coming to the world. In
all of human history there has never been anything like it. A conglomeration of
catastrophes—oh my children, draw near to me! The only safety is in the wound at my
side, the fount of love and mercy. My children, you do not believe in my love, or you
would do nothing outside of my holy will. My will is love alone. Yes, even in
catastrophe, my love is active so that sin will not reign forever. My children, I am
coming. Prepare your hearts. I am near.

O my Jesus, fount of love and mercy, draw me near. Remove from me everything that is
contrary to your holy will. Jesus, merciful and loving Savior, I offer you also the
souls you have given me to pray for, trusting in your goodness and infinite
generosity. Jesus, Mary, Joseph, I love you! Save souls!

(Note from Pelianito: While this seems a harsh message, the Lord is exhorting us to
trust in him no matter what happens and to pray for souls. There is a correction that
is much needed in the world, where sin seems to reign more strongly each day. But in
the Lord alone is triumph. Whatever comes, let us trust in the Lord and link each
minute of our lives to the cross in order to save the souls he loves so much and longs
for unceasingly. Jesus we trust in you! Save souls!)

Matthew 5:22 “But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgment; and if you insult a brother or sister you will be liable to the council; and if you say, ‘You fool!’ you will be liable to the hell of fire.”

“My children, never has it been more important that you set a guard over your thoughts and words. What you utter has ramifications in the spiritual realm. Remain pure. Do not give the devil a toehold. Words spoken in anger invoke the enemy; words spoken in love, peace, forgiveness, and fellowship drive him away. Always remember who your true enemy is—not the one who has injured you, but the enemy of souls. It is only when you bless your detractors and do good to those who injure you that you truly defeat evil. Then do not be alarmed when these situations come, but put on the armour of grace and let go a volley of arrows tipped with love and self-sacrifice. Yes, these are the weapons most feared by the enemy. Remain steadfast, and pure. Forgive always. Do not focus on what is earthly but focus on defeating the enemy. See all these situations as strategic battles and be glad of the opportunity to defeat the enemy one arrow at a time. Children—love! This is no mere platitude, no sugary sentiment, but a strong weapon in the spiritual battle raging all around. Children—love!”

Jesus, beloved, show us how to love with your own Heart and that of our Mother. We are weak in love, but you are infinitely strong. Therefore we place all our trust in you. Love in us. Tip our arrows with your love. Lord Jesus we surrender to the invincible power of love. Work in us and through us! Save souls! Amen.

    Latest message for July 2:

Haggai 1:12 Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of the prophet Haggai, as the Lord their God had sent him; and the people feared the Lord.

“My children, what will it take before this perverse generation heeds the voices of my prophets? I have come with water and blood, love and mercy, and few are heeding my words. This is a stiff-necked people! All you who hear me—prepare! Rend your hearts! Fast and pray! The day of the Lord will be terrible indeed. Yet, I have not left you as orphans. Can you not cry out to me in trust and I will hear? Do not be afraid. My love is a love that conquers. My wounds bring healing. My death brings life. Ask for my strength, my gifts and graces. You will need them. Ask especially when you receive me in the Eucharist. I am giving them out more generously than ever and that is because you will need them. So ask! I am with you. We conquer together. Unite yourself to me*. Children I am near!”

I felt sad giving out communion at mass this morning. So many people and not one of them smiling! I wondered to myself at this, receiving God's greatest gift and yet not smiling. I also had the feeling so many people were receiving automatically without thinking. Without entering prayerfully into the moment.

But maybe I am misjudging, it is so hard to tell what is in peoples hearts. But I dearly do love a smiling face; let the devil scowl.

St Therese has a nice story. One time she felt under the weather and asked God for a little Sign, When she went up for communion the priest gave her two hosts by mistake. She felt like Jesus had come twice. :)

    Such innocent joy.

Padraig it is funny you mention this because I have been thinking on this too. I find myself never smiling before receiving because I am in a process still of humbling and submitting as well as having just participated in watching again the sacrifice and in a way death of our Lord. It is sorrowful and yet wonderful at the same time to participate in His Passion over and over again during mass. I heard a priest say once that there is only one mass when you think about it. The one mass began at the last supper and ended with the crucifixion and death of the Lord. Every time we partake in the mass we are right there with all of heaven partaking in Jesus's Passion and sacrifice for us. Time is nothing to God He is all time encompassed into one so every mass celebrated every day in all the world is still just linked to the one, first Mass and we are partaking in it in that moment with all of heaven as well and yet we get the most amazing and best part of it all. We get to partake in communion with Him. Such love and grace.

I humble myself and truly don't feel worthy enough to even walk up and receive such a grace which is a sobering sorrowful affair personally. But then it all changes the moment I take communion. I am instantly filled with love and joy. I always always always feel this joy and say to my Lord, "there you are!!" I feel Him again. I feel that grace and am with Him again and full of joy! The sadness and sorrow from reliving His passion and the personal feelings of unworth in this grace as a miserable sinner whose sins helped put Him on that cross for me are replaced in an instant with so much love and joy. If you don't all do this or feel this I urge you to allow yourself to be transformed after receiving the Eucharist. Approach the Lord with total humility, sorrow and submission and then feel His love pour out to you in an instant. I don't know about the rest of you but I have found myself more and more after making the sign of the cross, kissing my hand lightly while looking up to the Lord especially after receiving communion. Kiss Him as you are one with Him. Let Him feel your love for Him for as he hung on that cross for us he thirsted for us, for our Love of Him.

It is interesting as I have been reflecting on that wonderful locution from Jesus to Mother Theresa about Jesus's thirsts for us it is we that should also thirst for Him. We should be thirsting for that Love for Him as He thirsts for that love from us. The amazing thing is that in our thirst for Him in that desire to truly begin to know and understand what loving Him truly entails, he quenches that thirst with His blood and water from His passion. But in a way the moment we thirst for Him and he quenches us we too begin to quench the Lord's thirst as well. He wants nothing but for His creation to find Him and to Love Him. Our love for Him quenches the thirst that he felt while hanging on the cross for us. He loved us so much that He suffered terribly just to show us how much He loved us. He is the creator of everything. He never had to hang on that cross and yet He did to show us just how much he loved us. And in those final moments of His suffering he gave us two words for us all to reflect on and understand that would transcend all of time. I Thirst! Why did he suffer and die for us? Because he thirst for us now it is up to us to thirst for Him too so that we can in our own way ease His suffering, His thirst.

Maybe my perspective is a little different as a former Evangelical, but I do go up with a smile as I feel each day I am again saying Yes to Jesus! I still cry often after receiving, I can't help myself, because I know who it is that I am receiving- this is my Jesus who I gave my life to when I was 13 and have loved all my life, and He is really here in this beautiful Church and really inside my soul truly present. I can't even imagine my life without daily Mass now. I just love Him so much! I am still so blown away that the Lord asked me to join His Church- it is like I am already in Heaven, which of course we are at Mass!

The Eastern Churches talk a lot about the mass as being heaven on Earth, the Sanctuary full of angels. I love all this.

But apart from the angels meeting the wonderful people in the Church, his saints..they make me smile a lot too. I really need this positive meeting with people often.

I am off work for a week doing little chores, meeting people I never usually meet, the dentist, the doctor, the auto spark, the gas repair man and so on. A lot of these people gave me really negative feelings, watchful wary, unsmiling.

I think there are two kinds of people. The freezers who draw love in. The fires who beam out love. At mass you get nothing but love and mystical hugs, even if some of them don't smile so much. :)

It reminds me of being a child again back at school, I can be little and small and smile. Yes and have people smile right back.

Jesus smiling right back most of all and giving the biggest best hugs. :)
