I think we will all be suprised at what is really coming. We have been told repeatedly that these times are much "worse than the deluge" of Noah's time. One wonders what the people thought during the Nazi regime when ordinary people had to make provisions then that they never believed was possbile. I suppose it is easy for us to sit back in our air conditioned homes, our bellies filled, money in the bank and bullets in our guns and think we can weather whatever comes our way and unlike Joseph and Mary, when told by the angel to 'head to Eygpt', we may feel that we are safe in our own environment, but we may be very suprised when it comes our way.

 

I certainly believe that God will prepare physical refuges if that is part of His Plan. Throughout history, God has provided for His people and there is no reason to believe He will not do so again in the future. I am open and await His call if it is His will for me. In the meantime, we need to either build or restore the refuges in our own communities, homes and in our own hearts. We just celebrated the Feasts of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. When I look at the promises of the Sacred Heart revealed to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, I pay special attention to this one :

They shall find in My Heart an assured refuge during life and especially at the hour of death.

This reminds reminds me of creating straw men that can be knocked over.

Also on the one hand to say yes there might well be refuges and on the other Mac is right to say there is no such thing, well...where's the logic? It seems to be argument for arguments sake. Saying Mac's right and then indicating in supposed support of him how he could not possibly be right.

 

I have the impression from some of these posts, not a basic motivation of a sincere desire to uncover the truth, but , rather a partisan desire for point scoring and proving oneself right, of a foot ball game strategy of, 'Ill back him he's my mate and he'll back me.'

I see no point to letting emotions come into a discussion of this nature..of any nature. When bad tempers come in one door truth goes out the other.


Be careful this does not degenerate into some kind of slanging match or I will close this thread.

 

I can tell you that the friends I know who believe they will be a refuge are not operating as a refuge yet. They merely have places that if people come when persecution begins then they will open their doors. They are also preparing to be self sufficient. I feel consoled knowing there is a place if we need to flee quickly that there are places to gather where we share the faith. But I know some of these places are within a days drive for us so it's easier to see it. If I thought the nearest place was in NY I would definitely not consider it an option.

 

Padraig, I would be most disappointed if this thread was closed as it is a powerful testament to the work of the Holy Spirit (but will accept your decision of course). I too wonder why there are those who contribute only negatively to this thread? If they are not into it why then bother contributing?

So there must be a deeper underlying reason why they hold such negativity?

Perhaps they want this thread closed?

 

I have refrained on commenting on this thread so far, but I have to say that I was very struck by John Martinez Jr's testimony and its resonance with what I sense is happening more broadly in the 'prophetic landscape', both Catholic and not-yet-Catholic. His account of his friendship with Nicky Cruz exemplifies exactly the type of Catholic-Pentecostal/Evangelical convergence that came alive in the 1960s and now seems to be having a second wind, as you can see if you follow the links on sites such as Spirit Daily and Spirit Digest. The arrival of Pope Francis has not a little to do with this: the Pope's recent words at the Charismatic Renewal gathering in Rome, that Charismatic Catholics have a particular role to play in these times by praying together with non-Catholics, are for example absolutely convergent with what John M. is saying (as another example of what is developing, I see that the Pope just hosted, among other charismatic evangelical leaders, the Arnotts from Toronto Airport Fellowship, stalwarts of the 'Toronto Blessing' which made a major cross-denominational impact in the 1990s). I have no doubt in my own mind that the Holy Spirit and Our Lady are behind these extraordinary ongoing developments, but I also have no doubt that the 'Coming Wave of Unity', to quote Mark Mallett, and the eschatological worldview underpinning it is going to be fought tooth and nail by many, like all authentic 'moves of God'.

I am not point scoring. I have a genuine disgust for those who have led others astray. Right from the beginning we have had great teachers like Tertullian [160-225ad] who went astray , Leading good Catholics to the beaches to await the end of the world .
But I promise to stay off this thread ,as I have been gin a fair chance to state my concerns.

 

I am with you Mac if/when it comes to church doctrine (teachings in faith and morals), which can never change. However, I have not read one thing that John has posted that conflicts with church teaching. An imprimatur is given to a book to give the reader assurance, from a high church authority, that it contains nothing contrary to church doctrine. Prophecy is not going to come with a imprimatur, but if John were to say something contrary to our faith he would be judged for that (by those on MOG for sure), but until then I am open to the Spirit working through others whom He choses.

 

Now whether that message means Rome as in Italy's parliament/ presidency or Rome as in the Vatican itself, we can only guess at this moment in time. What I will say is, we can safely discount Silvio Berlusconi for that role (unless the bunga bunga parties were some sort of hellfire club)

 

Padraig, I understand some of what you wrote was in jest. A way to 'soften' the stringent arguing in this thread. But I feel I need to make a few points:
1. The current anti austerity laws are evil, there to serve the elite at the detriment of the poor. Therefore your comment is in poor taste.
2. A bit of a generalisation, isn't it? If no one on this island payed taxes, how come we have state services, good roads etc?

I meant in Italy no one pays their taxes. Or as little as they can or as much as they should. .

In Ireland the poor people pay their taxes through Pas You Earn because they cannot avoid it. The rich use accountants and so are able to avoid much of it.

I have a certain sympathy with a distaste for taxes as much of it is used for very questionable purposes. For instance I understand we are still paying taxes to the British Government for the wars of Henry the 8th and Queen Elizabeth 1 in suppressing the Irish. Bad enough they killed my forbears, I resent paying for the killing.

 

Also of course a penny in the pound of taxes goes to support the British Royal Family, again as an Irish person I object.

John, do you have a timing for these events to start to unfold? Months away> Years away?

 

No man knows the Time nor Date only the God the Father. I personally believe that it is months before us not years. This is my own opinion. It is our Lady and the Holy Spirit that are reaching out to thousands of souls. I was directed by Our Lady and the Holy Spirit to start sharing Her messages. It truly is the Holy Spirit reaching out to all mankind. It has only been only Two weeks that we started to publish the messages and I have received calls and emails from different countries and from many States in the USA. Now is the Time! I am only a Messenger and a Servant of God.

John, I too sense that the time is at hand and it is a matter of months not years before the whole world enters into its passion. Seems like all the signs that scripture and prophecy have revealed are in place and I look for a loooooong winter. How is it that you know what messge you can reveal at this time? Do you receive locution as to what you can share? Another question I have is it seems you have allot to say about refuges. Is this the main theme of your messages or is it mearly what heaven wants you to reveal at this time? I enjoy reading what you have to say and the more you say the easier it is to discern your messages. Thanks.

 

Thank you John. I had a very lucid dream in April of a missile flying over NYC and going off. I tried to tell everyone what was happening but no one wanted to listen. I just knew I had to get back home but did not how long it would take.

 

The Lord speaks to us in different ways. You can have a dream and in a few days you will not remember what you dreamed. You probably had a vision within your dream. Such a vision you will never forget and remember every detail about the vision. What I am amazed at the number of people that the Lord is blessing in different ways. I am amazed and comforted as to how the Body of Christ is receiving messages from God and it is almost like a puzzled that He is putting together. I am very blessed that in two weeks, after being given permission by Our Lady to post the articles on various Roman Catholic website the hundreds of people that are coming forward and sharing their personal spiritual experiences. I believe that what you were shown is part of the many things that will take place during the chastisement. You are very blessed by Our Lord and I am happy that you are sharing your thoughts with all of us. I have also been shown what you saw but at a greater scale.

It is not to cause fear but to bring hope to all mankind to “Wakeup”. Yes my friend many will not listen and mock you as I have experienced. I have been told to share only what I am allowed to share at this time and bring comfort to those believers that “They are not alone”. I feel very good when I share because I am only a messenger of God and His servant.
