Just my opinion on these messages. I can not see God doing play-by-play going into all the various ways that government could stop providing electricity etc.... This is the reason I cannot buy into Locutions To The World as these messages are also to 'worldly' in how they are delivered. God, like our Blessed Mother, is interested in souls, the condition of the soul, and the salvation of the soul, not what could of - should of - or would have happened if scenario. "The crevasse created by a coming earthquake, is very deep by what you are seeing. This appears to be a major earthquake that could cause a lot of damage"......... This type of language seems trivial and uncertain. "This appears to be a major earthquake".... This is not the voice of God as far as I am concerned. Rather, it is sensationalism, which God has warned against.
I know John Leary and although he is a wonderfully devout individual and a daily communicant, he also spends great amounts of time on the computer. I have a real problem with his style and his deciding that Benedict XVI was a false Pope, and then when that didn't pan out, its now Pope Francis... There is way to much 'woulda-coulda-shoulda' and fear mongering. John's Bishop is NOT in favor of his messages. Locutions to the world are a whole different ball game. Starting with their spiritual director. We will know in May won't we --regarding the Pope's visit to Jerusalem...unless he makes two visits to Jerusalem....if this is even THAT Pope that is going to be martyred...
I just read your testimony about Nancy Fowler and your own spiritual experience when you were with her, oh my MS7! I was converted at Conyers. I end up desiring to defend John Leary. Mainly, because his writings are direct, easy to understand and all these years the timeline has not changed for end time events. There was a time when John Leary couldn't post his messages, he obeyed but now he has permission to share them on the Net. Maybe a new bishop has said no. And... I thought it was the Two Patricks who kept calling Pope Benedict XVI the false pope, not John Leary? I stopped reading their messages when they started in accusing Pope Benedict. Are the Leary messages negative about Pope Francis? I remember two messages given Lec of the Philippines, I posted one of them here at MOG, Our Lord speaks about the cross of the prophets, why the disbelief sometimes. I should post it again. Also to Lec which we realize, God explained, how He speaks in the manner, style and writing of each messenger, hence the difference in each prophet's Word. ... Jackie...welcome to being a visionary/seer /prophecy orphan. I would bet everyone on this board has at one time or another been deceived by false prophets. You know...I've often asked myself this question. What if there where no Fatima, no Akita...no officially approved prophecies...would my faith still stand intact? The sad story is...the truth be known...some good Catholics it seem...have built this false house...this false construct as it where...of a twisted faith in visionaries/seers/ and prophecy. They have forgotten how liberating it is just to live your faith on the Bible, the Sacraments and simply living the Commandments. Now having said that...I currently follow only 2 apparitions...those being Medjugore and Garabandal and in short order it will be found out if I've been deceived once again. The question I ask myself...can I live my faith without Medjugore or Garabandal...my answer is honestly...YES. Everything translated here is submitted on a 'for discernment' basis (which of course applies even to visions/locutions received by canonized saints, as Private Revelation is not infallible). This material cannot be guaranteed error-free and may turn out to be false. However, besides the objective evidence of a considerable number of prophetic 'hits' and the famous 'Message 458', it should be said that the local ecclesial authorities' attitude towards Pedro Régis is cautiously approving on the basis of the fruits in Anguera. It is perhaps worth remembering that discerning Private Revelation has always been a delicate matter within the Church: it is easy to overlook the fact that the most famous PR of them all, the Johannine Apocalypse, caused intense debate until the Canon was finally fixed in the 4th century (around 340 A.D. Eusebius described it as still 'disputed', with Cyril of Jerusalem (315-386) later forbidding both it public and private use). Our problem is that the urgency of the material in current alleged prophetic revelation is such that we do not have the luxury of waiting a couple of centuries for the Church to make a definitive judgment on it. So we only have two options: either ignore totally as too hot to handle (which is a legitimate viewpoint on an individual level as long as someone within the Church is doing the work of discernment) or adopt the Pauline principle of testing everything and retaining what is good (I Thessalonians 5:20-21). The spiritual challenge of this second option shouldn't be underestimated by any of us, it however needs to be said. A general principle needs to be re-emphasized consistently- this is not for entertainment and reading out of 'curiosity' rather than out of a genuine desire to listen to and obey Heaven's voice today is a sure recipe for disaster.
