Has Joeys Sense of smell Loss and return been independently confirmed by the medical community? [just asking] When it came to sainthood the Devils Advocate would ask a lot worse.

I have a 1983 'GARABANDAL' magazine with a 1973 interview with Conchita who says' I await the WARNING , MIRACLE' , TO SEE IF THE APPARITIONS ARE TRUE. so if she doesnt know ,who does?To hold no doubt you know more than Conchita?

Belief is a gift. I feel blessed to have been given the gift understanding and while I shake my head sometimes on what others can not see that it so clear to me, I cannot get angry, as I recognize it as a gift. Now others on the forum say they have visions, locutions and even some apparitions. Not me. These are gifts too. I am not envious of those gifts, because they are not mine. I do marvel at them, but with some things I feel so blessed to have been given understanding where I see others struggle. I did nothing to merit this gift, but I do thank our Lady for it. I believe it is a gift from her since the time Our Lady of Fatima converted me 30 years ago. Perhaps to some, this sounds arrogant. Don't blame them for thinking so, because I would have done the same at one point. For instance, I was never sucked into MDM as many have been. I believe our Lady has given me a gift to discern such events as Garabandal as authentic. I have never doubted it, just as I knew the first time I heard and read about Fatima that it was true.

I struggle to see how anyone can 'study' Garabandal and then deduce "it was likely not from God". But of course I encounter exactly the same thing when the vast majority of people, presented with the wonders of the world and the life within it, deduce that God likely doesn't exist! Ultimately, human beings will only come to believe what, on some level, they want to believe.

I am a scientist by background and have always approached apparitions and the like with a scientific approach. I only encountered Garabandal in the late 1990s but have come to love everything associated with it. For a few years, the Mother of God came to almost live in that humble, isolated village. And there is just so much documentation available, testimonies, photographs and video. To anyone who is curious, I would just encourage them to spend serious time reading about what happened there. The best book I would recommend is 'The Village Speaks' which is just a collection of individual testimonies by the villagers who lived through the remarkable events in Garabandal.

The question is can True 'APPARITIONS' Support failed prophecy? even 1?

Since you stuggle to see?????????? how anyone can doubt. I believe I am open ,and interested , yet doubt.

Sorry, Mac, but this 'dead paralytic boy' matter is new to me. My study of Garabandal has been through books largely. Unfortunately, the internet tends to focus on the potentially sensational, especially 'negative sensational'!

Can you point me to some detailed info on the matter?

Ask Glenn , but Its like pulling teeth. Information which doesnt fit is not forthcoming.
Yet Glenn will confirm it is true.

Mac, kind of like pulling teeth for you and the disbelievers in Garbandal to answer simple questions on all the apparitions you disbelieve after our Lady and saints have given ample miracles for you to believe and you say NO to them. Glenn provides one example after another that none of you naysayers, who have plenty of empty words for things you cannot understand, but none to support the multiple miracles he presents that took place. Like I said, it is a gift to believe.

I've eaten with Joey, and he can smell food, lol. How is the medical Community supposed to determine smell ? He can smell things , when asked , proof enough for me.

Mac, theproblem is mainly been Unity Publishing putting out lies and false stories. I have tried my hardest to confirm this "supposed story" BUT NO ONE can give EXACT DETAILS ,OR NAMES AND DATES. That leads me to believe its a lie. With all my connections in Spain & here, I can not get a 100% confirmation of this s story.

That was a statement in 1973 , Go watch her updated 1980 BBC interview. She does NOT say that. IN FACT,she says at the 21:00 min. mark she is asked if she believes NOW,and she responds "I BELIEVE VERY STRONGLY ! "[/quote]

Mac I am going to use your own logic against you. YOU say its a failed prophecy , PROVE it to us ! You have provided NO evidence of anything here. LETS SEE HOW FORTHCOMING YOUR EVIDENCE IS . IF YOU CANT PROVE IT , How dare you call someone pathetic, THATS PATHETIC.

You struggle to see how anyone could deduce it's likely not from God? Multiple false prophecies, behaviors by the girls during ecstasy that are more common to demonic activity than behaviors of any approved apparitions, one of the visionaries themselves denies the apparitions and the others have all denied it, then had more doubts themselves. How are you so sure when the visionaries themselves even were not sure? None of the bishops with authority in Garabandal have approved of the apparitions, so they are not sure if it's from God, either. In all other approved apparitions, the BVM always speaks with a salvific purpose. At Garabandal she speaks volumes and often speaks about extraneous, superfluous things. If it's so obvious they are from God why haven't any of the bishops declared them worthy of belief? Fatima was approved before all the prophecies regarding the conversion of Russia and Triumph of the Immaculate Heart came to pass. Here are a few of the prophecies that never came to pass at Garabandal:

From a book that the 'official' promoters of Garabandal. Written by Jacques Serre - Beatrice Caux. These are some prophecies of Garabandal that did not come true.1.“Padre Pio will see the miracle.”........ He died! Claims he saw it before he died can't be verified. Pg 160 After Pope John XX11, there will be only 3, no 4 more popes, then NO MORE. SO WHAT IS POPE FRANCIS? No More it said!3. Pg 182 "Father Luis body to be found incorrupt after the miracle.”.......... His body has been dug up, and it is not incorrupt.4. Pg 160 "Paloma Pacheco Larrauri born in 1931, a barren woman told, “you will have a son the day of the miracle.” ...... She died barren.5. Pg 147 "Conchita told in ecstasy, said 3 month old Pepi Luis will become a priest.”........ He entered seminary but did not continue. 6. Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notebook (DiaryConchita's promise from the Virgin that Father Ramon Andreu's two other brothers Marcelino and Alejandro would live to see the Miracle at Garabandal...... They have both died!7. Augusto Fernandez son, the paralytic boy to be cured the day of the miracle....HE TOO IS DEAD. She also predicted that Vatican II would be a rousing success, and this is very debatable at this point.

Mac, I have read that the paralytic boy who was predicted to be healed and has subsequently died is the son of Augusto Fernandez. I haven't been able to find the actual name of the boy.

PADRE PIO SEES THE MIRACLE BEFORE HIS DEATH & CONCHITA IS GIVEN GIFTS BY HIM.
When Conchita found out Padre Pio died in Sept. 1968, she met his close friend, Father Bernardino Cennamo, at Lourdes, and asked him, "How is it that Our Lady told me Padre Pio would see the Miracle and he has died?" Father Cenammo responded, "Padre Pio saw the Miracle before he died. He told me himself."The priest gave Conchita one of the three veils that covered Padre Pio's face during his wake, saying that the stigmatist had requested this before he died. He told her truthfully that he personally did not believe in the authenticity of Garabandal until Padre Pio requested this of him. Conchita also was given Padre Pio's rosary, and one of the gloves he wore, stained by his stigmata. She has these treasures preserved at her home in New York.

Lets not take the word of priests who were friends and lived with Padre Pio, lets believe Mike because ....why ?

The four Popes after Pope John XXIII rather than three… This is rather startling news to those who had read only about “three more Popes…” Actually this was reported in a book in the German Language book published in the early 1990’s, but it seems that most followers of the Garabandal drama were not aware of this and apparently are still unaware of this. Conchita said at the time of the death of Pope John XXIII that Our Lady had told her that there would be three more Popes and then would come the end of the times.
Albrecht Weber, the author of the book “The Finger of God“, had become involved in Garabandal in 1963 and became friendly with Conchita. On November 14, 1965, the day after the last apparition of Our Lady in Garabandal, Mr. Weber interviewed Conchita at her home in the presence of her mother. There was also present with Mr. Weber an interpreter. During that interview, it came out that when Conchita had spoken, on the very day that Pope John XXIII died, of “Three more Popes and then would come the end of the times,” her mother had asked her several questions.
In response to one of her mother’s questions, Conchita responded that Our Lady had actually said that there would be four more Popes but that She was not counting one of them. When Conchita’s mother heard that she strictly forbade Conchita to repeat that again as her mother feared there would be erroneous interpretations and much gossip. People might wrongly believe that one of the Popes might be false or bad, etc. During that conversation with her mother, Conchita also said that Our Lady had told her that one of the Popes would have a very short reign.

You must understand what Conchita was referencing . When she was told that there would be 4 more popes, then it would be" the end of the times" this meant an "end of an era." The prophecy had nothing to do with the future number of popes, it was MARKING A PERIOD IN TIME.
