One thing, first, which it might be good to check. Is this a Diocese-wide decision? It strikes me as strange that a Pastor would initiate this on his own. I would believe an article pertaining to such would be announced on your Diocese's website.

Time is short. We need to reach out to those around us. Many here, if not most, stand on a firm foundation. However, my love for others, especially family and friends, causes me at times to succumb to human respect and avoid hitting a raw nerve. I have given this over to Our Lady who showed hell to the children of Fatima. "Dearest Mary, I love you. Intercede that the Holy Spirit makes me bold and impervious to the desire to be liked; make Jesus and His Gospel the center of my heart and voice. May I never yield to compromise."
After watching the video, the same thoughts came to me. I was wondering who needs to hear this and will I have the courage to bear any backlash from those who say it is not their truth. Holy Spirit, shower us with an abundance of holy courage!

Though aligning with the pachamama earth religion requires a thumbs down evaluation, I think it was hasty for Stine to state a seemingly direct correlation between that event and the earthquake. One does not need an earthquake from God to stand against and form such a judgment. For instance, when the cardinals were filmed processing the pachamama from St. Peter's to the assembly hall a few years ago, that probably deserved two lightning bolts all by itself. Lord have mercy on me a sinner!
True, though I think he also said that sometimes the weather is just the weather and not necessarily related to other events. It was strange though, that the earthquake occurred soon after the pagan ceremony attended by senior Catholic clergy. I don't recall if it was in the earlier video or the follow up that he spoke about the idol which was in the Vatican a few years ago. Apparently it's a fairly modern creation and not something used in traditional ceremonies. A tree or some other part of nature would be more likely to be used. Things are so topsy-turvy these days, it's getting more difficult to know what's going on.
The indigenous peoples of South America correlate pachamama to certain plants and mother earth, not to carved figurines. Those present in the Vatican Gardens were provided to make "the worship" more understandable to the western sensibilities of clergy.
Notice what God says here. He states simply and boldly , 'I will not have strange God's before me' WILL NOT. In the Old Testament God always moved powerfully to extinguish the strange Gods and those who worshipped them. Those who did false worship were killed, often in a horrible way. God has not changed. Those who worship false idols will die. Often horribly. The Vatican will burn.
