It is very strange but I have noticed that the Jehovah's Witness's have made quite a bit of inroads in Poland. I am so glad they caught the person who did it. Prayers for him/her. They know not what they do.
I am inclined to rule out any Orthodox perpetrator. There has historically been much enmity between Croats and Serbs, but both share a veneration for Our Lady. Most Muslims also venerate her. Certain Jews despise Our Lady, but they would despise Jesus too. The report that a person insulted Our Lady and said ‘only Jesus’, irrational a statement as it might be, points to a very, very extreme kind of Protestant. Even a lot of Protestant sects who would strongly oppose veneration of Our Lady as a type of ‘idolatry’, would strongly oppose such an insult to Her.
Yes, it would be a very extreme kind of Protestant that would do such a thing. With how they made Mary's statue look, there had to be something demonic within. I would really question if it could even be a Protestant who in any way loves Jesus. You can't love Jesus even a little and make His mother look demonic.
Well if they caught one we will soon know. I hope they treated them kindly. It is an area of extreme religious tensions. Very extreme. Mad. Like my home city of Belfast in fact.
It could well be one of these ‘false flags’. My first reaction was that it was very secularist/atheistic in tone. And very premeditatedly intended as the deepest kind of insult. Such a source would be directed by the demons whose being he would self-confidently and arrogantly scoff at. He certainly needs all our prayers. Perhaps an exorcist-in which case, Providence might have directed him to the right place. May God be good to him.
Yes, some years ago the same statue was damaged. I'm not sure if that was when they erected the little fence around it.
If you go back to Orangina’s post at 10.24am today, with the picture of the desecrated statue of Our Lady, the vandal painted the date on the base below Her feet and on Her right.

It doesn’t surprise me that an Evangelical did this. Remember, they’re the some group of people that condone and even support the Israeli government and the genocide in Gaza. Of course, not all of them are this way, but many are.
Those of them that are Christian Zionists seem to consider themselves very ‘respectable’, law-abiding people. I would have thought that while they have no problem clinically massacring civilians thousands of miles away, doing something as personal as this would not be their usual style. Of course, they’re a rarity here in Ireland. We do have a small Baptist congregation nearby, but there has never been any trouble. The sentiments expressed seem incomprehensible for any sane Christian. Surely, even the most extreme evangelical believes in the Incarnation-if not, would they even be Christian? How could the woman who bore Christ be described in the terms written on the statue? How could the Son of God consider inhabiting the womb and being born of a woman such as described. It is even more an insult to Christ than to His mother. Completely insane.
