Absolutely. I have been stocking up for years like a doomsday prepper. No clue why other than I feel like God told me too. Whenever I do, I just say these are yours to do with whatever you want. I have gathered rosaries, bibles, blessed candles, exorcised salt, oils and holy waters, spiritual books, pictures and even church books to be able to say the mass if it is ever gone. Again, I don't really look for these things to purchase, they just pop up sometimes. Like I will here someone on catholic radio talking about home blessing kits and then I get the urge to search for them and find wonderful small business Catholics selling these things and not selling them by set price more like giving them out and asking for a donation or to cover postage. So I tend to then buy maybe 10 home blessing kits and give them more than what they cost them to help them out in their work. Then I give some things away or keep them because feel inclined to do so for the only reason I can think of is because the Holy Spirit wants me to. But it does always feel nice coming home. The house just feels so extra protected lol.
I could have written this post. We have quite the stash as well! Several drawers devoted to such items. And I've given quite a bit away, mostly to family. I think the urge to collect all these items began in 2020. I noticed a huge surge in interest at that time, from many Catholics.
I was on a retreat in a monastery a few years ago and became friendly with the sacristan monk. I asked if he had any used pascal candles and he gave me 6. Most had only been lit a few hours.
I saw somewhere that there was the biggest tornado ever recorded came down. When I hear the word historical as regards events I always take it as a sign.
Apparently, Putin is more moderate than many in his administration. I read that the military, Lavrov and Medvedev are pushing strongly for more powerful push-back. There was also a plausible report from Romania that British fighter-jets shot down Russian drones over Western Ukraine, although perfidious Albion rushed to make denials. If true, the latter would have been a direct act of war on Russia by the British. Simultaneously, there are multiple attacks on Russian ships by various NATO countries on the high seas. Russian patience will run out and it’s hard to blame them.
This seems to explain the possible fulfillment of Catholic prophecies concerning a Russian invasion of Europe. There are three countries from which Trump could withdraw U.S. military protection under NATO. Does that sound biblically familiar? As for Putin, he appears willing to test NATO's limits before the window of opportunity closes—that is, before a change in the presidency of the United States.
With the USA continuing to back away from supporting Europe and NATO, in addition to Europe acting as if they will align more directly with Ukraine, the impetus for Russia to accelerate their push forward into Europe may be at hand?
I think so. In fact, a few weeks ago, Trump once again threatened Cuba. In light of this, if part of Europe refuses to take part in his adventure in the Caribbean, that could constitute a bilateral act marking a definitive break between the United States and Europe, even if unintentionally on Europe's part.
I have the same and in fact - I have prepared something similar to a prepped’s to go bag - it it’s my 3 day of darkness bag. Filled with blessed candles, matches, prayer books, holy cards, exorcised Holy Water, Oil, Salt, Rosary, scapulars, crucifix, statue of the Holy Family etc etc This is on top of what I already use and have out in my home
I have a small box with all the essentials in it. I suppose where I am living in the country is about as prepped as you can get. But you know I am doing this not so much for myself but I would love to be in a position to help others, especially children. I got a big shock last week when I discovered a lady from Peru who actually had no food to eat. Very sobering. She does not have to wait for things to turn bad, for her and many others it already has. It teaches me to be grateful for all I have. I was thinking a lot last night of Padre Pio's very famous saying , 'Pray, hope and don't worry!' The implication is of course that Padre Pio did not worry himself for if he did he would have been a hypocrite. But look at the situation he found himself in. He was surrounded by very, very powerful, very intelligent people who like wolves were seeking to destroy him and hated him with a demonic intensity. He could have been kicked out of Order, lost his priestly faculties. been shamed all over the world and very likely ended up in prison for a very long time. This went on for years and years. His personal situation seemed hopeless, no human hope. Yet he did not worry. How was that? I think it was that he kept his eyes constantly on Christ. He had a living Faith and trust. When he advised us not to worry the path that opens to us is to grow in trust, in prayer so that we may worry less and less and trust more and more.
