It has increasingly become an economic war.

 

I believe most wars are.

 

The war is virtually over. The USA assumption that a week of overwhelming force would be sufficient has proven wrong. Hatred for the USA among Arab States will increase. And China and India oil supplies are presently fragile, which will not help our relationships with them. The USA has lost face and should pull back. Our leaders are at fault for remaining subservient to Israel; we as a nation should fall on our knees and call out to the Lord for mercy. The BRICS nations will seek all the more to bypass our international influence. Our nation may not suffer directly from this conflict, but we are humiliated and have lost what international prestige we once held. A Republican defeat in November is probable but will not be enough, because the face of Donald Trump will remain.

How's that for a bright assessment?

Does this mean that only Jews in Indiana, and nobody else, may obtain an abortion? If so, it would lend a new perspective to the phrase 'self-hating Jews'.

I’ve been thinking about whether Trump’s recent statement that the war was close to a favorable end for the United States might have put him in a dead end. After all, if he retreats strategically, he will appear to be a loser. If he continues the war, he risks triggering a global economic crisis among "his allies", as well as a war of attrition promoted by Iran, possibly forcing the use of ground troops in enemy territory. There is also the possibility of losing American ships in the Gulf, even if only as a final act of resistance by the Iranian government.

 

When the Democrats again come back into power it now looks like they will do so with an overwhelming majority and a Mandate to do pretty well whatever they like.

That is maybe the very worst thing that will come out of this terrible war.
