Things have changed since the Book of Esther. The Jews murdered God, the Catholic Church became the New Israel, the Jewish Covenant has been superceded and this current war, with Netanyahu abandoning his people and fleeing to Berlin, might represent the very opposite of what they hoped.
Still seems significant, what it means remains to be seen. While I agree we are the new Israel, there are parts in Ezekiel where God I believe refers to the modern day nation of Israel. In particular the part in chapter 39 where it mentions they will stop blaspheming His name. It appears that God in His goodness keeps His end of the covenant regardless of how bad Israel has been. Ezekiel 39:7 And I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel, and my holy name shall be profaned no more: and the Gentiles shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One of Israel
Doesn't the reference to the Gentiles indicate that they are now Israel? If the Jews want to be part of Israel again, they must forget about imposing their Messianic dreams in Palestine and accept Christ. By invoking Divine support for their occupation of Palestine and now extending to between the Nile and the Euphrates, they are certainly profaning His Holy Name.
I think the part about the gentiles refers to those attacking Israel from the outside. Jews have a strong history of blaspheming the name of Jesus, even to this day.
Awww I believe our culture will finally make a turn. I love Bruno Mars & Mariah Carey. Yes, the lyrics of both artists can be horrible, but when Mariah was dubbed 'Queen of Christmas' she said it's not her, it's Mama Mary. I was listening to her latest album & she has a lovely song about Jesus, she was once a Gospel singer & her mum is Irish Catholic. Bruno Mars has just released a song. Everyone's praising it saying there's no vulgarity & it's a beautiful message of fidelity in marriage. The Chapel is stunning, they get married in a Catholic Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe is in sight etc. In the video it shows the couple growing old together. I mean, the next song by him could be trash, but if ppl can see this & it sparks a conversion to the Faith it would be wonderful. What a romantic video & song. I pray for artists' conversion because look at how the world is responding, they love it. Yes I can understand him staying to be a martyr. But then why did he let his grand daughter who was very,very close to him remain with him to get killed along with everyone else in the house if he knew they were going to be bombed? It does not seem logical.
