The investigation wasn't carried out by Boeing. The fact that the switches were turned off one second apart does not indicate systematic failure but human interference. I am only going on the official report from the investigative team.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is the designated authority for such investigations in India & is most influenced by Boeing or other aircraft manufacturers in its investigations as India sends it's crash flight-box's to the US for decoding process. The switch is not like a normal tubelight switch, that if its flipped on, tubelight has to turn on, it require to be pulled hard & then turned up or down. The switch value is then read by a microcontroller which took 4 seconds to switch ON again simultaneously & turning it OFF one second apart doesn't play human interference. Thus, one can assume a case where the microcontroller misinterpreted switch value and cut off the engine, which the pilots then physically tried to re-engage the switch, but by then it was too late. This is just a speculation, based on possibilities enabled by the preliminary report, if the FDR verfies that the switch was physically engaged, the argument holds no water. Lets wait for the final report.

On Monday, 7 July 2025, radical Israelis from nearby settlements intentionally set fire near the town’s cemetery and the Church of Saint George, which dates back to the 5th century. Taybeh is the last remaining all-Christian town in the West Bank. These actions are a direct and intentional threat to our local community first and foremost, but also to the historic and religious heritage of our ancestors and holy sites. In the face of such threats, the greatest act of bravery is to continue to call this your home. We stand with you, we support your resilience, and you have our prayers. It was the favorite church of Pope Francis, who has often been in contact with Palestinian Christians and has often criticized Israel. Israel said there was a mistake, which is of course a lie, and they deliberately bombed the only Catholic Church in Gaza.
