My brother in law says "Surgery went well. She's eating a turkey sandwich now..." Thanks for the prayers
I feel pretty hopeless this evening and am struggling with feelings and thoughts of despair. I hope God forgives me and helps me out of this. Sorry for posting about this but I'm suffering alot at the moment. I have a book with "words" from Jesus and saw the words "...be willing to follow wherever I lead" when I opened the book.
There is massive spiritual warfare going on right now but just keep fighting! This is the place to ask for prayer, no apologies.
I'm asking God to direct me to what He would have me be. I'm willing to follow God's calling for me, whatever it might be.
Dear Jesus the Good Shepherd, please lead Peter and guide him. He is willing to follow Your calling. Amen.

"But, O my soul, throughout the entire course of your life thus far, you have frequently offended your Creator. You have caused much grief and anxiety to your guardian angel who has sought to preserve you in righteousness and virtue. However, shall you dare to stand in the presence of the divine Majesty without shame and fear? Should you not rather despair of your salvation altogether? Certainly not! For there is no limit or bounds to His divine mercy, and His forgiveness has no end. Like the good father who receives the prodigal son with the open arms of unconditional love, just so the Lord will welcome you. You have merely to long to return to your most merciful Father with genuine penitence for your sins and a genuine desire for His love." —St. Aloysius Gonzaga P. 69
I came across a really lovely quote from St Francis De Sales in his book, 'Introduction to the Devout Life', last night. I hope this may give you some comfort. 'Being troubled by faults is not the same as consenting to them. It is necessary that, for the exercise of of our humility, we sometimes suffer wounds in this spiritual battle. Yet we are never truly defeated unless we lose either our spiritual life or our courage. ... Deliver me Lord from discouragement and faint-heartedness. Let us say the same , and consider ourselves most blessed in this warfare, knowing that the only condition for always emerging victorious is never to cease fighting'
