Fortunately, if results on the ground are any indicator, Russian missile-defense technology is currently far superior to that of the US and its NATO allies. While even the Ukrainian defense ministry is admitting that their US-supplied Patriot missiles are almost useless at intercepting Russian missiles targeted at the Ukraine, the UK-supplied missiles that the Ukraine fired at Russia some months ago were unable to reach any of their targets, if I remember correctly. On the other hand, it only needs one to get through... What I read came to the same conclusion. It will not be able to change the outcome of the war strategically in Ukraine's favor. However, the probability of creating a situation in which Putin/Russia has no choice but to retaliate would increase enormously if all restrictions were lifted. It is well known that British Storm Shadow, French SCALP or German Taurus cannot be operated by the Ukrainians themselves. If a single one of these weapons causes major damage, say in Moscow, Putin will be forced to react. Russian TV, for example, is discussing the use of the “hazelnut” against production sites. It's a long video but worth watching even if you can only watch it in stages because it connects so many dots. It's shocking but what shocks me most is that the fact that the tactics are being employed in the US seems to be the main concern of the two gentlemen rather than the fact that the tactics have been employed at all. Carlson does a promo for the Heritage Foundation in the middle of it. From the little I know of it, the Heritage Foundation doesn't strike me as being Catholic friendly.
