Would you, in your charity, please pray for my step-daughter who suffered abuse at a very young age. Her own family had no idea until very recently and unfortunately, someone who did know made the executive decision to tell everyone except her father (her mother is deceased). This has been a source of unimaginable harm, and now grief, to her family and has destroyed her marriage. Many thanks to you all ~ Lois
Something along these lines happened within our own family involving my better half's family which it tore apart. I love the photo you posted LMF, it is so true. My heart breaks for your step-daughter. We will certainly pray and take this intention to Mass tomorrow
Prayers, this morning at Mass. This reminds me of a story from the life of St Phillip Neri. There was a husband and wife who the saint stayed with when he first lived in Rome but they were the most shocking gossips. As a Penance St Phillip asked them to take a dead chicken and walking through the streets of the city to pluck out all its feathers and throw them to the wind. At the end they returned to the priest and told them they had done as he asked. 'Now,' said the saint,'Return through the streets and collect all those feathers'. The couple were aghast and told them that this was impossible. 'Just so', said St Phillip,' It is the same thing with idle words. Once cast to the wind it is impossible to take them back!'
Please pray for my husbands nephew, a young man with 4 children. He was assaulted on the street of a small town in Ireland last night. He is on life support and not good. Please pray
Thank you all, so many praying. We got a little hope today. He has been transferred to hospital in Dublin. We were told that doctors there are puzzled as brain scans are looking much better than his physical injuries indicate. He is still on life support but prayers are working. Thank you all
